This supermarket is known to sell rotten or expired food especially the soy bean drink. Bought 1 before and it was rotten, we thought maybe just bad luck but when we came back the other day and bought another one it was rotten as well when we brought it home. We bought it on 6/16/26 and the expiration says 07/05/2026 so we would think it's still very good but no it's rotten. They might of just pretend to place a new tag to show it's not expired yet. Wasted our money for nothing. Not very good for business. They need to change this up or else they will lose lots of customers. read more

5/17/26 We came by the civic center for an event in Elk Grove and stopped by here for some ingredients for dinner. This location had lots of herb options which was great for the fried fish wrap option we're making tonight. Snapped pics while we wait for our live fish to be fried. I shop at this store weekly. Stopped in to get garlic and ginger. Picked up the pieces open in the bin since i didn't need much. Went to pay and was made into a spectacle about if the ginger was organic and if he needed to charge me more. A lady walked back to the bin to verify and came back saying something. Then the guy says its ok i will give it to you for reg price. I didnt know they had organic products. I thought all produce in their market was organic and home grown. I will not be back. The most ghetto location of all the SF Supermarkets. It's very apparent the store leadership here doesn't give a ****. Walked in today & they had no shopping carts available. None in the store, none visible in the parking lot. Pretty much everyone was being used & while busy, they weren't that busy. Seems their carts are getting stolen & they aren't replacing them. I wish I could give this store more stars because it really is a good place to buy Sea food, poultry, Beef, Pork and fruits cut theres a few things that I dislike tho. I like that they always have mangos for a real reasonable price when mangos are in season. I like that they have all kinds of fruits and vegetables some that you cant get all your local american grocery store. I dislike the fact that when you walk in here the lights are super bright to the point that it hurts my eyes, i dislike that no one understands english and its hard to find what you are looking for if you dont know the stores lay out. One thing that I discovered when coming here this past Friday is that, THEY SELL EXPIRED STUFF AND TRY TO HIDE IT! I was looking to buy the liquid seasoning and most of them were expired. Theres one thing if maybe they forgot to pull the expired merchandise off the shelfs and its another thing that they try to cover it up and bamboozle us into buying expired merchandise. The erased the expiration year on the liquid seasoning but you could still see that it says 2019 thats some shady stuff! First off, terrible customer service. Nobody will help you and none of their cashiers are friendly. I'd avoid their seafood and produce as well. Most of the time it isn't fresh. They do have a large selection of packaged goods but I always have to check the expiration date before buying any of it. I usually go here just for the large boxes of ramen noodles which I use to make stir fry or noodle soup. read more

I always order the 75 piece sui mai whenever I have any potlucks. Never had any issues with the food I order at the south land park one until I ordered from this one. When I got there to pick up my order it seemed they didn't have it ready and was putting in the ones they were packaging up to sell for the day. I didn't mind as it's still good. But when some people ate they noticed the insides of the suimai was red. It was not even pink. Some were red and raw and some were pink. I'd like compensation if the owner or cook can contact me. Hate to play the card but if you don't look Asian the people working the meat department will ignore you, skip over you to help someone else, or give you way more meat than you asked for in an effort to get you to pay more. The cashiers are no better. You bag your own groceries after not being greeted and they will handle your groceries in a rough manner just to get you out of the line rather than help you bag. The wait in line to be treated like a second-class citizen makes it all that much worse. The produce department has a fresh and wide selection and I recently found the real sriracha sauce on the shelves again. And out the way out and coming in parking sucks. I have a love hate relationship with this particular location. I love the selection of imported Asian goods, Asian vegetables, and I most definitely love the prices! They don't overprice anything and whatever other Asian grocery stores don't carry, they are guaranteed to have it here. What I highly dislike about this location? The customer service. Its horrible. I remember when this used to be an Albertsons when I was growing up. The plaza sign is proof when you notice the old baby blue outline fading away. When SF supermarket took over, It was during the early 2000s. I've been coming here since then and accompanied my mom to her weekly visits to stock up on ingredients to make weeknight Filipino dinners as a teenager. If I cant find what im looking for at KP, I know that I can find it here and everything's cheaper in price. I had recently came here with my dad to get some stuff and I couldn't help but notice how rude our checker was. Not only was she asking unnecessary questions, yelling at us, giving us attitude, and carelessly bagging our groceries, but she had the nerve to stop our transaction, pick up a personal phone call in front of us, and make us wait until her phone conversation was over. Who does that?! The sad part about Asian grocery stores is that they really don't care about customer service . A complaint to the manager will do absolutely nothing. I worked for Safeway when I was a teenager and let me just say, we would not be getting away with shit like this. uh uh. They had a pile of dead crabs for sale at 1.99/lb. I chose three crabs and the guy weighing the crabs took out one of my crabs and placed it behind the counter because it was still partially alive. WTF?! I was forced to choose another dead crab. I originally chose the crabs from the dead pile and I don't think he should have changed his mind and put back my crab behind the counter because it was from the dead sale pile. Never ever buy frozen fruit or fish at this location. They have the most horrible refrigeration system ever. I'm wiring this form not just one experience but several times over the years shopping there. The most recent one was (few week's ago) when I bought frozen durians on sale. The entire durian was rotten when I opened up the fruit to eat! Very disappointed & they are not cheap! Worst of all , I can't make a complaint or return because that also have a very unfriendly return policy. We had 2 similar experiences in the past. The entire box of mangoes that my wife bought was rotten. Before that , fish sold that appeared good was found rotten when we got home to cook! I wonder how they even pass the health inspection or even open for business. Im surprised they even pass the health inspections...looks fishy to me .I'm writing this to alert other shoppers to be forewarned before buying any frozen stuff here! Good place to get your Asian groceries. They have anything you need to make your Asian dishes. I go to this location because it's closest to Elk Grove. The other stores don't have a lot of the options I love. They also sale fresh meat and seafood but I don't get meat here. It's fresher elsewhere. The veggies are fresh but they tend to be more pricey. Cashier line can be long. They need more cashiers. I've stood in line longer than it took me to get all my items. They have a hot food area but it's kinda dead there. They do offer roast duck and roast pork. They also have to go dim sum items, banh mi sandwiches and smoothies. I went to SF Market on Mack Road. I go there to buy food that can't be found anywhere else.I am a Caucasian male, I only speak English. Every time I go there the employees that work there at SF Market claim they can not understand what I am saying they say to me "NO SPEAK ENGLISH" I have witnessed employees that work there that are talking to Asian customers in perfect English telling them where to find stuff. All I get is I don't understand or I DON'T KNOW. I have been helped buy customers to find things. The employees are very rude to me and they act like I am bothering them. They are racist against non-asians I feel that SF Market should have an English speaking representative there at all times.
