[[HIGHLIGHT]]It gives me the feels more of a large warehouse store rather than a small neighborhood market[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It does have a large variety of spices, sauces, canned and jarred delicacies that you wont find at your regular grocery stores There is a nice hot food counter tucked away that you can purchase prepared asian food to go for a quick weekenight meal (more of a Thai or Vietnamese flair) The frozen cases are packed with lits of frozen options that include alot of asian delicacies in choices of meats and seafood for preparation. Plenty of fresh vegetables for purchase in the produce section The butcher and fish options provided plenty to choose from. There is a couple of sections in the store that have a vast selection of appliances and kitchen tools for the venturesome chef who wants to tackle asian dish preparation. read more

I was in the area on some meetings and ended up in this plaza, so of course I had to stop in and check it out. I cook a lot at home and love when I'm able to find a variety of ingredients. As you walk in they had a variety of items up front and then you enter the fruit and veggie section. They have a good variety and a lot of them are pre packaged along the walls in the refrigerated section. I picked up some brussel sprouts here and kept browsing. The back section has more frozen and refrigerated items including dumplings, meatballs, drinks, meats, and more. The very back has a butcher and seafood, including tanks of live seafood. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Near the seafood it smells like a fish-market and the smell kind of permeates through the store but that's what you get with fresh fish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The aisles have an interesting organization and while they have a good variety there are some things that I've found elsewhere that I didn't see here. I did notice that there were some good deals, I picked up a couple items that I've found for a couple dollars more at other local markets. They only had one check out open when I stopped in, but the person who checked me out was quick and efficient. When I moved to Sacramento-area in 1996 from the Bay Area,I moved to Roseville and I worked in Natomas and I didn't really know any other areas too well and it stayed that way for years-so SF Market was not a thing for me.It took me many years to finally make my way to the location in Land Park and wow was I missing out. On this particular visit I took my adult child with me to SF Supermarket,as she had never been there.I wanted to have some fun with her so I took her straight to the meat department in the back and let her see all the unique options they got back there-it was great-not sure she has ever been to a place that has so many great unique options in their meat department. After walking around the store and picking up a few sauces and a few new ramen options we never tried before-we set our our eyes on their hot food bar over near the front and that's where our trip took a real upwards turn. My daughter is obsessed with Banh Mi and I generally fight the urge to get one but this day that all changed and she convinced me to try a Banh Mi. So after looking over the options I went with what seemed like the safest option,the grilled pork($7.25).It was a tough choice because their hot food bar has so many incredible looking options-I wanted to try so many-but I had a full food day ahead of me that day so didn't want to go past just a small snack. They prepared this Grilled Pork Banh Mi really fast and I got to tell ya-it looked delicious,being that this was my 1st one though I didn't have much to judge it on.We decided to split it between us and I got to tell ya-I loved it-at that moment I was getting the hype of Banh Mi. Funny insight on how my mind works-as soon as I was finished I wanted to go to as many places as I can to find the best Banh Mi there is no way the best one is served in a hot food bar at a random grocery store-I know I now want to find out. In closing-SF Supermarket is such an awesome specialty grocery store and it has so many Asian grocery options at a reasonable price and it remains my go-to spot when I run out of just about any ingredient I need when making my Asian cuisine-not to mention if I ever want some exotic meat choices that I just can't seem to find at other grocery stores-SF Supermarket will come through in the clutch no doubt-not to mention they serve a pretty decent Banh Mi. Big and convenient Asian grocery store to shop at. They have wide variety of stuff. Affordable prices. I couldn't find two items so I went somewhere else for them. They usually have two cashiers for check out. Not too busy if you don't go during weekend. Every time I've gone it's been pretty slow. They have a lot of parking in the front. read more

Hard to find parking. Hard to find shopping cart. Minimal rolling baskets on extremely busy days. Great Asian plaza with several other good eats and drinks in the same plaza (which also adds to the limited parking lol). They have everything you need at an Asian Grocery Store from fruits, veggies, rice, meats, hot foods, Asian jewelry, and etc. Is organized, but not the cleanest. Lots of staff on the floor does not speak English though, so it can get a bit difficult to find what you're looking for if you're wanting assistance. This is typical of authentic Asian supermarkets though, so know before you go. This was not my first time here and won't be my last. read more

I like the convenience of this location. I have elderly family members that live nearby and this is the perfect location for them to pick up little items that they may need. Although some prices are a little higher definitely take a look at what's on sale. I was shocked to find a generous bunch of fresh baby dill for $1.59. I usually pay a little bit more than that. I found hot sauce for $.99 so they have some good finds, but usually the items on sale. They have pretty much everything here from fresh produce to meat, seafood, etc.. read more

I came here for the first time after work as I was exploring the area. It's located in Land Park which I've never really driven through before. I came initially for the Vietnamese shop (check out that review coming up). The produce selection was pretty good. There were some things like the bitter melon that looked moldy. I wanted to buy some but just skipped on it. I did purchase tomatoes, bean sprouts, garlic, egg plants and that was pretty much it. This store reminds me of Ranch 99 minus the bakery items. I came in for a few items and as always they had exactly what I was looking for. Some hawthorn flakes, red ginger, new Calbee shrimp chip flavors (roasted seaweed, chili and lime) and one of my favs hot garlic, coconut soda, seweed and salt potato chips, Boy Bawang adobo flavored (corn nuts), and a few other goodies.... I was ready for lunch and got my usual shrimp balls and chicken egg rolls. They were out of chicken egg rolls, but made me a fresh batch. I did my shopping and came back for them. I got the last remaining shrimp balls, those I wish were fresh. They were barely luke warm and could tell had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite some time. This is not the first time I have received the not fresh, in the past even the egg rolls were cold and been sitting. I need to.time things better when I have the day off and a craving to come as soon as it opens when they are fresh. read more

The comments from my guests stated it was delicious and well done. I had my little brother pick up the pig and the place actually called to verified. Of all the SF Supermarket located in Sacramento, this one is my favorite location and actually the only one I've been shopping at since this location opened. Think of it as any other grocery store with more ethnic products. There's also an entire aisle dedicated to ramen. Produce and meat is definitely cheaper than at the American store but don't expect organic. They have tanks with live fish and crab which my kids thinks is an aquarium. I also like the hot deli food and usually get bbq pork and dim sum. If I don't want to drive out to far, I opt to get baos here as well. They also do catering. read more

1 star. I'm leaving this review because what happened here on March 9, 2026 needs to be on record. My partner and I are both Black women. We visited this store and were checked out at by a cashier named Phuc N. What we witnessed was a clear and consistent pattern: warm greetings, smiles, and friendly conversation for two white customers and complete silence, no eye contact, and total dismissal for us. He laughed and chatted in another language with a coworker throughout our entire transaction while acting as if we weren't there. Then, while my partner was already retrieving her money with the total visible on the monitor he abruptly called out the amount owed. We did not observe him doing this to the white customers while they were already in the process of paying. It felt like he was implying we wouldn't pay. Humiliating. The second we walked away, he was warm and chatty again with the next white customer. This isn't about a bad day. The pattern was too consistent and too targeted. What makes this especially painful is that we had been shopping here for months. This was not a one time visit this store had our loyalty and our money. After this experience, they will never have either again. I have filed a formal complaint with the CCR Department and retained my receipt as documentation. Black American shoppers deserve the same basic respect as everyone else. read more

If you're vegan or vegetarian you've got to check this place out!! Really great produce section with great prices. Tons of meat alternatives and a big variety of tofu. A lot of mushrooms, fresh and dehydrated. Make sure you go down every isle. I used to go to the one in south Sac but this one is my favorite now. read more

Great variety of groceries and products. However, the lady doing the hot food side, not much on the friendly side. More than gruff or tough, bordered on simply rude, like we were bothering her. Security guard and checkers were helpful, so was butcher. Will always return because this SF is just the right size with the same products and better parking. read more

They have most Asian products available but if you're looking for Korean food products you might have to go somewhere else for that as they only carry some frozen products and no seasonings or spices etc. Service is good. Huge supermarket that has almost everything I needed to start my own Chinese pantry from nothing. I was able to get all my ingredients for less than $130, which was very impressive given how many items I got including dry noodles, spices, sauces, fermented foods, flours. They have several other Asian ingredients, specifically for Vietnamese and Korean cuisines although I would recommend going elsewhere for Japanese items since this place charges more for furikake, panko, frozen udon, etc than other places. Produce selection is good and fresh and fairly priced as is the meats/seafood. read more

SF Supermarket is a good place to go for buying Chinese groceries and vegetables and fresh fish and chickens

showed up at 7:55 and was denied the right to come in by the security guard called the store after looking online and it shows that the hours stay open 9 PM 8 AM to 9 PM and ask the guy if they the person that answered the phone I asked the hours online and say you gotta stay till nine but the security guard is not letting any hangs up the phone. An explanation would've been nice rather than just hanging up the phone. I don't think ideally is a place to do business with you if that's the way they're gonna do business. Do you want to close early? Just say you're closing early. As a member of the community, I really don't feel comfortable with shopping here if that's the I'm gonna be treated as a customer who in the neighborhood around the corner from the depends on that store very dearly. read more

Went today and got a grilled pork banh mi and milk tea with boba. It wasn't super expensive and the sandwich was solid. The pork was well seasoned, the pickled vegetables were nice and there was just the right amount of heat. The milk tea with boba didn't quite hold up it's end, but was still good. An honest mistake or sneaky swap? My parents always warned me and told me to make sure to check the butcher labels and your reciepts! Since we were in a rush I neglected to do any double checking and it wasn't until we got home that I noticed the swap! I made the last minute decision to buy some pigs feet as my husband was already in the check out line. I selected the 3 pieces I wanted and watched the butcher weigh the meat at $1.99 a pound and saw the total for the weight was $13.00. It wasn't until we got home that I found the label attached to the pig was for beef top round for $25! We live kind of far from SF supermarket so it wasn't worth the drive back but I was pretty upset we got swindled. We like shopping at SF market but this isn't the first time we had an issue with difference in prices. One other time I purchased the "old" crop rice but was charged for "new" crop rice. I noticed this incident while in the parking lot and was able to go back in and get the difference for the overcharge. It was super good to revisit this super market again. This is one of the best and is a super huge supermarket that has everything, for all the Asian cuisines, traditional noodles, sweets, and as I walked through every aisle, I have lots of happy memories at this supermarket. Checking out the sweet tofu soup makes me happy and I feel so lucky to see my family's favorite traditional good food. I went to the same boxes of sweet Jolly Ranchers' lollipops and picked out the same one that I kept putting it back into the box for so many years, for all the joyful happy good reasons that I would never forget. Too funny. And all the fancy soy foods and finely chopped bamboos that are all softened with the soups and lightly seasoned with the red hot spicy chili. The famous tofu, bamboo, mushroom, hot and sour soup. They also have all of the famous pickles and the green sweet sour mustards. All the delicious different kinds of veggies. They got the famous authentic side dishes to eat with soy, noodles, fluffy rice, breads, salads, and beans. And the front of the supermarket has the best Hong Kong style fried dim sum and the best Shanghai dumplings, that compliment with the variety of noodles available by the deli chef managing the cooking deli counter. A beautiful supermarket filled with delicious good foods. I would recommend getting a small igloo box to keep it in your car to store some groceries from this supermarket, if you are hungry for some good hot pot foods, because the outside heat and humidity air might make it difficult to take out or bring home if you live far away. Veggies and sweet tofu cakes might melt away if you leave it in the hot car for more than six to eight hours. I ate and purchased the famous green pan-dan soy tofu soup that comes with coconut milk mixed with sago and a good sized brown sugar syrup. And of course drank the famous soy bean milk. I really vacillate from liking this place and not. But during the pandemic, it's really been a nice spot and here's why: It never gets super crowded. Easy to social distance and nobody to get all up in your business. They have been better about being stocked up on stuff - I was even able to find a couple of packs of boba when them things were flying off the shelves. Is it the freshest? Do they have the best selection? Not always, but it works when you wanna satisfy a craving. This place gets a solid OK from me. read more

Aisles are well marked and it's easy to find items. Lots of variety so you can compare prices easily. The Chinese food from the deli does not taste fresh. I keep going back there, hoping that it does but I get disappointing, especially the fried rice and the eggrolls are terrible. The fried rice was very old. The chicken was moist and tasty. The noodles were a little too greasy and the oils had a weird aftertaste. I wish they-had the eggrolls from years back because these ones now are different and they don't taste good. For the money I spent, I feel like could've been more satisfied elsewhere . They do have a good spring rolls and also pork buns but the Chinese food I'd stay away from read more

On Saturday my boyfriend and I stopped in to pick up some packs of instant ramen for nights we didn't feel like cooking and a couple drinks for the rode. I would definitely recommend this location. This grocery has been around since the early 90's and knows their Asian goods! It has all you need to get your shopping needs done, we'll be back to pick up some treats as well! Overall, it's a great store. Great selections and a great produce section. That said, look for expiration dates on everything you buy before purchasing. Also, the tuyo (dried fish) in back usually has mold inside the packages if you look closely. They really need to work on product rotation. Other than that, I love the place. read more

EXPIRED FOODS. Went on a non busy day and hardly anyone there. Workers are just chillin and the cashier was eating a snack (thats how dead it was when we went) - Got home after buying a few things and it was EXPIRED! We usually check for expiration. Kimchi expires in a month which is fine i guess. The magnolia Ice cream was expired for almost a year already!! (we didn't check expiration because we were expecting to eat it right away so it didn't matter). We opened it when we got home and the top layer was a different color than usual (darker) -.- It was already expired.. why is it even out there to buy? It looked like they had so much free time yet they don't check up their inventory. read more
