Our service was average for what is a diner. The drinks were terrible, I've never had a more sad or pathetic margarita with table salt on the rim. While my honey mustard salad was ok, the chicken was overly fried and dry, I needed a lot of dressing to get through it. Husband had a lobster roll and said it was decent. I've loved the 99 my whole life. I feel like you need to know what to order (don't get too fancy, a classic chicken sandwich/wrap, fries, bowl., etc. is a good go-to). My sister and I were near this location and decided to relive our childhood glory days. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich and honey bbq wrap were perfection; hot, crispy, delicious food. The fries were soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. We enjoyed the buttery popcorn while we waited. Our waitress was also very kind, friendly, and attentive. She gave us time to look at the menu but didn't forget about us. We came during a quiet lunch hour so I think that helped with the overall experience, but no complaints. This isn't the most excellent meal you'll ever have, but it could be the most comforting. read more

I used to really love the 99. You could hardly ever get me to go anywhere else! It seems like in recent years, they've narrowed down their menu quite a bit. We stopped in for a quick lunch at this location and were one of few in the restaurant. We settled on splitting the bbq chicken wrap and a tater tot appetizer of sorts. Everything was just average, which is why I decided on 3 stars. The wrap didn't have much chicken in it, seemed more stuff with the shredded lettuce/radish combo and lacked sauce. The tater tots were alright. Our server though was super sweet and attentive the entire time. Overall, nothing I'd go out of my way to have again unfortunately but I think that may apply to the chain as a whole. read more

I've been to several of these around New England and they are usually a good choice. We were having a group reunion and met up here and I had a nice burger and a couple of different beers. The burger was good and the beer options were very nice too, lots of choices. There is a 99 not too far from here so I might try that one out also as they all have been good so far. read more

Bartender was extremely nice...but the hostess was everything but. We arrived at 9:15p.m on a Friday...yes sort of late we understood they closed at 10:30p.m, so that is why we decided we'll take our food to go. Stopped in for lunch after getting off work early today. I'm a single business traveler so I sat at the bar not wanting to take up a table. It took over 7 minutes for bar maid to come over because she apparently knew several regulars by name and was chatting them up. Ordered a drink, and the waited another 10 minutes before she had a break in her "Friends" conversation to take my order. Fajita bowel with chicken arrived and for a chain place was actually very good. Absolutely loved this place. Food and atmosphere were great. It's a cozy sports bar type environment which I loved. The menu is set to please even the pickiest eater. Options range from steak and seafood to regular ole burgers and almost anything in between. We ordered broccoli cheddar soup and seafood chowder. Both were very good. The star of the meal was the seafood trio. Scallops shrimp and fish were all cooked to perfection. Nothing was over done or rubbery. It was truly enjoyable. Our server was very sweet and attentive. I love their seafood chowder!! It was filled with seafood not just potato like California does it, you get the real deal!!! The Crab cake and Molten Chocolate cake ice cream was A-OK! My pasta had a lemon-y taste but I really like the garlic parmesan crusted shrimp oven-roasted now that was good! My husband ordered the triple decker turkey club, which he said was pretty good and filling. I had to order the dessert cause i was having a sweet tooth, the molten cake was not that great. So I wouldn't get it. The service was great. Her name might have been KIM like D O. state I forgot to write it down. But she was excellent. She had dark hair 5'2 ish and so friendly. She told us were to go outside of boston to try great seafood. I love people who are nice enough to let others know where the locals eat!! A+ for her!!! Horrifying. Let me say our waitress was great. Now for everything else. My daughter ordered plain pasta. First time it was just this side of crunchy so I asked for it to be redone. Second time it came out in hard clumps. I asked to see a manager. The manager literally told me the pasta is cooked in the morning and reheated and that is done in every 99 restaurant and if I was not satisfied I should not go to a 99. Horrified!!! I had a terrible experience in the 99's on Mishuwam Rd Woburn. I was just in there this past Saturday night 9/18, I had ordered cauliflower bites for myself and the chicken tenders and French fries (kids meal) for my son. The cauliflower bites came out right away, on the other hand, after waiting 15 minutes for my son's meal to come (which it still hadn't) we left with neither of us eating. This Location was next door to the hotel I was staying at. The inside was worn, run down and in desperate need of a remodel. The food however was great. Gross is the word I would use to describe this place. The bar was filthy and Not kept up. Behind the bar a mouse was openly having a dance party, the floor reminded me of a movie theater from the 80's. But what was really gross was the disregard of the patrons. The hotel I am staying at told me the 99 was open till 11. I walked over and the sign by the door said 11. When I sat down and asked for I menu I was told they stopped serving food at 9. Then at 10 they stopped serving drinks. When I mentioned to the bartender that the sign says 11 he gave me a lame excuse how it's the managers decision. If it was his choice he would keep serving. 99 reasons not to go back... I honestly am out of words to describe how disappointed I am. Got there, took forever to get served and the place wasn't even busy. Ordered some mozzarela sticks and it looked worse than the ones I buy frozen at the grocery store from Fridays. Then I ordered what I thought it was one of the safests things on the menu "The official burger of the Boston Red Sox" and the meat tasted burned. They came back with another one not only tasting burned too but greasy and pink in the middle. Obviously wasn't a problem with the meat but either the dirty grill or the person cooking it. I will typically choose to eat here when looking for a decent meal with fast service and my visit to this location met my expectations. You start off with a complimentary bowl of popcorn. Our waitress came over quickly to take our drink order and our dinner order just a short bit later. I'm no snob either, I like hole-in-the-wall joints if the food and service is exceptional. That's not the case here. Been here on two occasions, both times, the mouth-breathing locals at the bar with their hats on backwards and Bruins jersey's couldn't take their eyes off my wife. Not sure if this the correct location because we ordered using DoorDash and had it delivered to our hotel and I couldn't find how to identify the correct one. I ordered the smothered steak tips along with mashed potatoes and broccoli. OMG everything was fantastic even the broccoli which tasted fresh and just the right amount of cooked. I'll just list the issues: No utensils, cold french fries, cold lobster(I ordered the hot buttered lobster roll), Cole slaw that was so soupy, my mashed potatoes were "under water" to the cole slaw juice, no bottled water(they offered tap water instead after taking my order for bottled water). So the food was great but the service at this location sucks. The waiter we had was rude, and didn't do his job. Waiter brought over our food didn't say anything to see if we needed anything else before just putting it down. We need refills and ketchup but the waiter never came to our table until it was time for the check. Waiter just kept throwing our things down on the table and had no respect.
