    Lasagna Fritters

Walking out of Marshals me and my friend smelled garlic and herbs wafting through the air. We followed our nose to Evviva. Ava, our server, was amazing! Service and recommendations were on point. She tailored my friend's drink as she liked less sweetness. The drinks and food were delicious. Lasagna fritters were light and airy. Surprisingly not dense and tasty. Would recommend!

Absolutely amazing! My friend and I came here for lunch today. We really enjoyed our experience! Delicious food, generous portions, and reasonable pricing. It took a while for the food to come out and no one was at the host stand for a bit so we had to wait a little to be seated, but I still give this place 5 stars because of the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend the steak Gorgonzola salad!! So yummy.

I got a salad. It was pretty good. Not the best I've had. I'd give it a 3. I wish they gave a piece of bread with it. I really liked the service and outdoor seating. Although it's in a busy plaza, it felt secluded. That I give a 5. sampled my friends homemade truffle chips. Really good. I might go again for the ambiance and to try something else.

Evviva is known for being accommodating and they are. The best item on the menu is the lasagna with bolognese sauce. The orriechete is ok. The service is attentive and pleasant. The best item-the tiramisu. If you need food or disability accommodations, just let them know.

Really fun and entertaining dinner experience night out at Post 1917 in Reading AKA Jason Carron…read more Great for date nights. Atmosphere/Decor: Really interesting and unique interior formerly a Post Office (hence the name) with exposed brick, a tall windows, and a very long three-sided bar that makes up most of the restaurant. Very happening and social scene. Most folks dressed business casual and to impress. Lots of birthdays, regulars, and lookers. Big glam meets classic steakhouse hybrid vibes. We sat at a booth behind the bar and were initially concerned about placement but glad for the happening scene afterwards. The legroom was fairly tight for the taller folks. The booth was a little tight with space for all our food and drinks (e.g., four people, four cocktails, four waters, three appetizers was tight). Service: Very attentive. We had great servers, very attentive, fun, offered helpful insights and thoughts, and took great care of us ala traditional steakhouse norms. No delays. No complaints. Food: We really enjoyed our meal. The appetizers were fun. The restaurant is gluten free in homage to one of the owners(?) kids who's found it hard to eat out. You probably wouldn't notice that it's gluten free, as whatever almond/corn/rice flour they're using closely mimics mouth feel and taste. We were a little surprised the lamb app was (gluten-free) breaded but very moist and flavorful. Our steaks were all very good. I had the ribeye and it was a nice cut, aged (23-30 days?), and cooked exactly as desired. Cauliflower was decent and voluminous but not amazing. Wedge decent. Filets good. The chicken parm sounded very intriguing -- different than the usual fare and apparently one of their most popular dishes and huge but we will save it for next time. Fun desert options. Drinks: Great dirty martini. Fun cocktails for the table -- some great some just good. All boozy. The Whistle Pig tasting desert option was a a great value even if just for the 12 year XII at that price. They have a few rare allocated bourbons and whiskeys. Price: A much better deal than Boston steakhouses in general. This would have been twice the price if downtown there, and they're clearly enticing folks to make the drive. I think it's well worth it.

The beer selection is great and exactly what you want in a place like this. I have had the stew and the shepherd's pie on different visits, and both were very good. Classic Irish comfort food done well and consistent with the overall vibe. Service has been top-notch every time. Friendly, attentive, and consistent without being overbearing. It adds to the experience and makes it an easy place to return to. The decor and ambiance are very typical of an Irish bar. Warm, comfortable, and easy to settle into for a while. One of the things I like most is the amount of space. There is plenty of room overall, and the bar itself is long with lots of seating, which makes it easy to grab a spot or get seated even when it is busy. They also have Irish music here fairly often, which fits the place well, though I have not been in when it is happening. Bunratty is a great choice for a few drinks or a casual meal. It is reliable, comfortable, and properly run. I will give it a well deserved four star review.

We sat for about 10 minutes before anyone came to our table, and when a server finally arrived, drinks were rushed out and it felt like we were pressured to place our food order immediately. One member of our group is gluten-free, and while they did offer a gluten-free menu, it lacked creativity and felt like an afterthought compared to the regular menu. We also didn't feel confident that the allergy was taken seriously. The server didn't ask many questions or clearly communicate any precautions regarding cross-contamination, which is something we've experienced at many other restaurants. The food itself was okay, but nothing memorable. The gluten-free chicken and vegetables were extremely bland and lacked flavor. The chicken also seemed undercooked, which was concerning. We ordered four different sushi rolls, and overall I'd rate the sushi about a 5/10. The spicy edamame leaned much sweeter than spicy, although some people may enjoy that flavor profile. The crab rangoons were decent but nothing special. Throughout the meal, service continued to be lacking. We never received a check-in after our food was delivered and had to flag down our server multiple times just to get water refills. The lack of attentiveness from the staff was frustrating, especially considering the prices. The restaurant has plenty of seating, but it was very loud, making conversation difficult at times. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible, but it certainly didn't justify the cost. Unfortunately, it's not a place I'd recommend to friends, and I don't see myself returning.

The service was really good, and the staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and made good recommendations. For our appetizers, we had bang-bang broccoli and crispy chicken dumplings. It had a nice kick, but it wasn't overwhelmingly strong. For my entrée, I had Baked Tortellini Bolognese. I arrived here via uber and decided to have dinner at the hotel's main restaurant, the Lakeside Tavern. This Yelp review is for the restaurant only and not the hotel. I arrived here around 9:30pm. I opted to get dinner here first before checking into the hotel for the night. The service that night I was here was crazy slow. They had loud live band music and the vibe here was generally an older crowd on a Thursday evening in May 2025. I found a seat next to the bar near the kitchen and after 15 minutes of waiting for someone to take my order, I walked to the cash register and waited for someone to arrive. I ended up getting one of their signature meals for the evening and that was that. Since it was close to 10pm that evening, the music was winding down. I ended up waiting about 20 minutes for my food to arrive. It came in a takeout container with a plastic bag. I would have gotten something at Boston, Logan International Airport, but it was after 8 PM when I arrived and nothing in the terminal was open for me. With that said, I was happy that the Lakeside Tavern was open for anybody and everybody who was wanting to be there. For lunch, dinner, or just hang out and listen to live music with adult beverages. For me, though, I just need dinner after a long day of travel to Boston from Honolulu. I was glad that they were until 10 PM, otherwise I would have took an Uber to see what was around at the time near the hotel that serve food. The overall experience at the lakeside Tavern here in Wakefield, Massachusetts was typically OK, although I was starving and wanted quicker service that night. While the service was very slow, it was nice to partake in the live music that night. The ambiance was chill and friendly. The service was friendly and welcoming too. For the most part though, the experience here was pretty good and most likely will come back again get my troubles permit me to do so. I'll try to get here as quick as I can, but then again their travel is normally the same as it was 10 years ago. The restaurant itself was very clean, although it was dark enough to wear I can't see much. I just was glad that this restaurant at the hotel I was staying at for the night was open and grateful that they were still serving food while I was there. If you decide to stay at this hotel, consider dining in the Lakeside tavern because it is basically on property. You don't need to go elsewhere for your meals if you don't need to. If you're lazy like me, this restaurant is your best bet if you're staying at the hotel. Definitely recommended if you are one of those people who just don't wanna leave the hotel for some reason if you're staying here at the Lakeside inn in Wakefield Massachusetts. The Lakeside Tavern is located inside the Lakeside Inn in Wakefield, Massachusetts. As soon as you enter the lobby, the entrance to the restaurant is on your left. Can't miss it. It is physically located at 595 North Avenue in Wakefield. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, they have a generous and huge parking lot for anybody and everybody who wishes to come here to stay or dine. Or both. Please share the parking spaces with a few other commercial retailers in the vicinity. There is a bank nearby, if you need cash. There is actually public transportation service to and from the hotel into Boston. I did not know this until my most recent trip here and decided to save a little bit of money and ride the local bus service into downtown Boston from Wakefield. It was pretty cool. Don't recommend it if you are traveling in the evening and don't know where you are if you are a tourist. So yes, there is public transportation options to and from the hotel, and they will depend on your original destination, whether it is the Amtrak station or Boston Logan international airport in Boston. And with that said, they have a limited menu, so be prepared for anything they have. The prices here were decent for any restaurant in the area. But if you're desperate and hungry, it's kind of worth it, especially when you're staying at the hotel for the night and you're starving. Which is what my situation was at the time. It was a quick stop for dinner that ended up being something other than quick. But if you like the loud live music to decompress after a nice day of traveling or a hard day at the office, consider coming to the lakeside Tavern for a good meal and to decompress. I'm sure they have alcohol service here, but I did not want to drink so late at night. 3.5 stars for the overall experience, mostly for the slower than normal service. But it is pretty good 5.0 stars for the location, because I was staying here. Support local! C+
