They just do take out until four o'clock so I did take out for lunch at 1:30. I had a burnt end sandwich which featured glazed brisket. As soon as I saw 'glazed', it should have alerted me. The brisket was covered in a syrupy bbq sauce. Always get it on the side. So much for any flavor from the smoking process. Whenever BbQ is in the name of the restaurant, it signals that Barbecue sauce is part of the meat. it was a commercial bun that you would find at McDonalds. It was as small especially given the price. Overall, I was disappointed by the quality and price. Take it or leave it.

nashville Fried Chicken Sandwich, Mac & Cheese & Cornbread

i've been to the assembly row location, and well as the harvard square location a handful of times, so i did have certain expectations based on previous experiences at more busy locations. this is an old applebees renovated into a smoke shop bbq, so it's not as custom as their other locations. i ordered takeout from here, just a nashville crispy chicken sandwich with a side of mac & cheese and cornbread. the chicken sandwich was stuffed and good. the mac & cheese wasn't my favorite. when i called to order, the sizes of cornbread were unclear, and i ended up ordering a large, when a small would have been fine. when i came to pickup, one of the hosts was helpful, the other girl with her head down reading something seemed to be less than helpful (and seemed to have some seniority?). i asked if it came with silverware, and the girl with her head down said it was already in the very stapled up bag. i asked for 2 silverware packs anyways, and i'm glad i did because there was in fact, no silverware included, as i thought. i didn't like that the prices on my receipt were raised from what was listed online, especially since this location only opened two months ago? it was a minor amount, but for a new restaurant, their menu prices should be accurate. not a dealbreaker. the people who work here should visit their other locations to see how customers are used to being treated.

Order takeout from here. Really really fast pick up. We got one meal of the full rack of ribs with two sides and it was enough for two people with leftovers. Really good too. I just wish that they were a little more well done because I like a noticeable smoke ring. But I'm definitely gonna go back.

The service was friendly and prompt. Having just opened yesterday they did a great job. The food was flavorful and delicious. The BBQ sauces were delicious hot sauce had a great delayed sorry I'm the , the gold medal had a nice mustard flavor and the sweet had great depth. This is a renovated Applebee's and they did a great job making it feel like a barbecue restaurant. Definitely coming back with the whole family again and again.

It was great! Their pulled pork was amazing and the brisket was super tender and delicious. For dessert I would recommend the Mississippi mud in a mug cake it was absolutely fabulous.

The wings were good could have used a dipping sauce though, but the flavor was outstanding

We ordered drinks before the meal. I had a Vermont Red Ale for the first time which was very good and worth remembering. At this time they were serving'cocktails for a cause' in support of the Alzheimer's Association, which my other half decided to have. The drink, Fuchsia Butterflies ($15), was made solarium gin, house-made lemoncello, with a Gran Classico & Violet Rinse. It was quite excellent. I had a sip to try (I am usually not one for cocktails) and enjoyed the taste. Perhaps I will try cocktails in the future. For food we shared curry moules frites, well done, just how I like them, and salt and vinegar Wings - tasty but too salty which detracted from the dish. We ended with a good chocolate mint creme brûlée. The check came to $80 to which we added a decent tip for our friendly server, Triston. We have always enjoyed the vibe and cozy environment of this place and are sure to return.

While I know mid-week is a slow period, but it can't be dead. Every occasion I've visited, you might see a couple of people at the bar but the tables are all empty. Which is sad because... The food was pretty solid and affordable. The tapas fare is pretty conventional, which can be good. The croquettes were crispy enough and flavorful. The lamb chops were also flavorful, while being tender and not over-seared. The patatas bravas were hot and crispy. The paella for two, at a decent $35 price, had a good amount of rice and seafood. The seafood might've been a little overcooked but it's hard to time it. The churros made for a nice ending, with a lovely chocolate dipping sauce. They had vegan tapas options, which was good for some in my party. However, the menu was a bit too extensive. They had menu options from seemingly all places and that does not make life easy for BOH. Service was generally okay, but seemingly stretched. Even though there weren't many customers in mid-week, staff appeared to have a variety of tasks. So sometimes we weren't checked on for long stretches. The spot was a former bar, so it had that bar atmosphere. It's located in a decent area, so I hope something good rises out of the ashes.

Solid tapas spot in Watertown if you don't feel like trekking further into Boston. From a quick…read morecompare of the menu here versus the menu for Barcelona Wine Bar, the prices are about the same or cheaper, especially for the seafood paella for two ($35 at Olespana, which was a sizable portion, versus BWB's $56). Plus, Olespana has a parking lot in the back, as well as abundant metered options along Wells Avenue, which is always a plus in my book. Here were the dishes we ordered, ranked from favorite to least: 1. Patatas with garlic aioli - you cannot go wrong with the combo of basically french fries and mayo but definitely eat this as soon as it hits your table. Otherwise the fries turn mushy, doubly so from the sauce. If you're with a large group, definitely order two of these. 2. Seafood paella - I'm by no means a paella expert but I was impressed by the crunchy bits of rice on the bottom and how flavorful it was. A good amount of different seafood, including shrimp, mussels, clams, and squid, but I would've liked to see the shrimp a little less pink. 3. Garlic mushrooms - I'm a fiend for mushrooms and will order it any time I spot it on the menu, though I'm partial to when they either fry or sauté so the mushrooms get these nice crispy edges. These were a touch too heavy on the sauce, which was very acidic, but I finished pretty much the whole plate of it on my own. 4. Croquettas - Wasn't a fan of the mushy insides though my cousin loved them. 5. Beet salad - Eh. At this point, I should give up on ordering salads in restaurants when I can make them easily at home. The balsamic vinegar dressing was way too tart and I've decided I'm not a fan of oranges in salads. Overall, a fun eclectic spot to eat some tapas and drink whiskey. I got a kick out of how their menu has a section of tapas from other countries, including the USA - our featured options were wings and steak tips. That said, the menu is way too sprawling for its own good - tapas, burgers, pizza, and nachos? That might explain the inconsistency in the dishes we ordered.

The place was packed and they only had maybe 5 or 6 employees so the service was a little slow but understandable. I think the longest wait was about 20 minutes when we were waiting to get our initial drink order taken, but everything after that was fairly quick. For drinks I got a thin mint martini because they were out of the chocolate reuge martini I wanted. It was so yummy and came with 3 thin mint cookies. My mom got a pistachio martini and the Jefferson Tea. Both were pretty good but I wouldn't order again. My dad got Dead Mans Redemption which is good if you like bourbon. It comes with a wood topper and they light it on fire, let smoke fill in the drink, and then take the wood off. The drink then has notes of smoked wood in it which is cool. For food we got the crispy spring rolls and pepperoni flatbread. Both were so good!!!! It was absolutely worth the wait!!! I could eat the whole flatbread myself it was that good and I can't wait to go back and get another one. The crowd is definitely much older, not a lot of younger people around. It's a good date night for married couples. Overall it was a nice place and I would come back.
