Shrimp Tacos that somehow tasted more amazing than they looked.
    Todd A.

There are three key elements to a successful, well-rounded Yelp review--food, service, and ambiance--and Krave earned a gold star in every single one. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Both simple and deeply nuanced, every dish I tried offered a fresh, elevated take on a familiar favorite. Each bite was packed with flavor, making for a truly memorable dining experience. The shrimp tacos, for instance, were a seafood lover's dream--perfectly grilled shrimp paired with crisp, fresh vegetables and a creamy taco sauce, all wrapped in warm tortillas filled to the brim. As for the mozza balls, they were a revelation. Hot and crispy on the outside, generously dusted with fresh Parmesan, and bursting with rich, creamy mozzarella inside. The crust was so perfectly crunchy that even Sonic's legendary mozzarella sticks would have some serious competition. These golden bites of cheesy perfection were nothing short of divine. The fried shrimp were enormous and cooked to absolute perfection, encased in a flavorful, perfectly crispy batter. They were incredible on their own--so much so that the accompanying dipping sauce, while a nice touch, was completely unnecessary. The bruschetta was warm and fluffy, topped with juicy, perfectly ripened tomatoes and a generous handful of fresh, peppery arugula, all drizzled with rich, warm olive oil. There was plenty to share--but it was so good, you wouldn't want to. The food was so insanely good that I was kraving more before I even made it home--seriously, I considered turning the car around halfway just for another bite. The service was top-notch from the moment we sat down. Our server greeted us before we even had our chairs pulled out, welcomed us to Krave, handed us menus, and took our drink orders right away. She was back quickly with full glasses and a friendly smile. When we ordered appetizers, she kept us updated on their progress, making sure we never had to wonder when they'd arrive. Attentive, efficient, and genuinely welcoming--it doesn't get much better than that. She kept that same level of service throughout our entire visit--never missing a beat. Our glasses stayed full, our table stayed clear, and we never had to ask for a thing. This was the kind of service that makes you want to tip extra extra. The ambiance was perfect--Krave has the chill vibe down to a science. Relaxed atmosphere, great lighting, comfy seating, and just the right level of background noise to keep things lively without being overwhelming. If my kids hadn't been with me, I could've easily made myself at home at the bar for the afternoon. Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish. I usually try to visit a new restaurant every time I go out, just to keep things interesting. But Krave might have just messed up that plan--it's definitely earned a spot on my list of go-to places.

Came here for brunch and the place was almost empty. They have a $20 brunch special where you can order a brunch entree and get a bloody or mimosa with your meal, and it's not really worth it IMO. I got the braised beef hash and my partner got the brunch burger. The beef hash was okay - beef was kina stringy and dry, it's like they took left over beef stew and put it on plain homefries with a bit of onion, topped it with fried eggs and called it a hash. My toast was griddled flat with very little butter. My partner liked his brunch burger, seems like this is a decent place for a burger. The bloody wasn't good, tasted like an oxidized version of Mr. And Mrs. Ts, I didn't finish it. Service was okay, kind of frosty, thought it was odd the server stood far away whenever he spoke to us. Space is pretty big, clean, dark, and traditional. Overall sub par experience, wouldn't go out of my way to return here.

Service was good, food was pretty good. The pizzas were flavorful but everything else was lack luster. They do have plenty of seating available for larger parties. They have bar seating available as well. Got a few different pizzas, pasta dishes, and appetizers. For a party of 9 they were able to accommodate us last minute, didn't seem to be too busy at that time otherwise Lighting and decor a bit dark and outdated

A mid sized restaurant tucked into a plaza. Quite the eclectic crowd of people. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Our table allowed us to watch the busy kitchen crank out the meals. We loved seeing the various food that they offer coming out. They have a very good size drink menu, with signature cocktails and good selection of drafts. Wife went with a Cobb salad with chicken. A really good looking salad with a nice size piece of chicken on top. I had the Asian Shrimp. They were not overly battered, a plus, and had a good flavor. The veggies were crisp and fresh as well. We would not hesitate to come again

Great vibes, drinks and food! Fell in love with this place. Came up non business travel and was lucky enough to find Krave. Great people and atmosphere too. I sat at the bar and Nicole was wonderful, as were Claire and John sitting next to me The service by Nicole and the rest of the staff was on point and the food delicious. I enjoyed the Ricotta Bruschetta followed by the Asian Beef Tacos. Wow! Great taste and well crafted. I will be back come January. Thanks.

We had a group of 8 of us that came in last night. Food looked amazing so we wanted to give it a try. We got seated and our server took a bit to get to us. We ordered some drinks and waited and waited. The martinis we ordered had blue cheese stuffed olives. They were bad, tasted really sour. So we had to order a few glasses of wine instead She finally came back and took our food order. I ordered a app and food. The app never came out first. Came out with the meal. They were ice cold. I ordered the Asian street tacos.. again ice cold. The rest of the food was just ok. My wife did like her tofu poke bowl, but our friend didn't have more than 1 bite of her salmon. Just disappointing. I never got a refill on my water. We were a party of 8 and there was just no attention.

A delicious dinner spot. Service was relatively fast and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Appetizers for the table: - Crispy Brussels - Breaded Fresh Mozzarella - Homemade Potato Chips For the main course, I ordered the Slow Roasted Short Rib and was very tender. Mash potatoes were also flavorful! As for dessert, we shared the Kravn donuts. Warm and fluffy served with caramel and chocolate sauce.

The spare ribs were tasty and I think they had some truffle oil. The sushi and sashimi was very fresh. The chefs provided 3-6 pieces of sashimi/sushi/nigiri of each type of fish so we could do our own tasty menu together. Our sushi boat came with the seared hamachi make + caviar roll which was really good. I would definitly order that again. The prices can be expensive, but the sushi is fresh and worth it for special occassions!

The hostess asked us if our whole party was there and we indicated they were parking their car. We were then told we could sit now or wait until they arrived but if we sat down at our table "the clock would start" (she actually said that) Yes, we read about the 90 min. table time when we made the reservation but giving us a "warning" ? Like the countdown had begun! Not a great way to start. The entire experience from that point on felt rushed. 3 of us were not drinking alcohol so therefore we were never asked if we wanted another drink of choice after the first one. The person drinking alcohol was certainly made sure he had full glasses. Food was good but we had to ask the waitress and staff to take the empty plates and glasses more than once in order to accommodate the additional courses. (which were coming out one after the other, because, you know, we had to hurry) I will add during the entire meal I noticed at least half the bar was empty and several tables around us remained empty or customers left with no new customers coming in. We finished with 3 minutes to spare!!! Wow, lucky us. This did not feel like a place that wanted to showcase their food and service and be accommodating but more like, just eat, pay, leave. Too many good restaurants around so we will try someplace that actually makes a customer feel welcome.

We came on a Thurs at 6 and it wasn't too busy at all but definitely filled up by the time we left around 7:30. We got a few drinks and beers. For hearing about their drink menu, I was surprised that it was pretty limited list and they also didn't have any beer on draft, only cans. The cocktails were good but not outstanding. For food, we started with the chengdu chicken wings which were huge and delicious. Perfectly crispy and they had a nice sweet/spicy sauce with it. We also ordered eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, Chongqing dry hot chicken, house fried rice, shrimp/scallop, braised fish with napa cabbage and Wok Crispy Salt & Pepper Shrimp & Scallop. Standouts were the shrimp/scallop that were nicely breaded but you could still taste the fish and was well seasoned. Braised fish with napa cabbage was very flavorful and the braised fish was sooo tender. Also can never go wrong with the eggplant that was cooked down well but still had texture and a yummy sauce.

A…read morenumber of other reviewers have commented that "things have changed", and I, unfortunately, agree. Visited on a Saturday evening - the place should be packed, but it wasn't. I easily secured a same day bar seat reservation for 8PM. After checking in, was seated at a half empty downstairs bar. No physical menus, everything was done via a QR which is fine I guess, but for a spot that positions itself as a premiere bar a bit tacky. The online menu on the public website is the only menu and where the QR takes you. I asked for a spirits list (logical for a cocktail forward bar), I got a quizzical look and a shrug of the shoulders in return. Given the menu was only 8 cocktails, picking from those I started with the Beachcomber Mai Tai for a whopping $18. This, if it's the true spec, should be a rum forward cocktail with 2 1/2 oz of rum. They batch their cocktails (not a problem) so I couldn't see their build, but there is absolutely no way this drink is made to specification - my guess is they are skimping on rum as a cost play, batching lets them get away with it. Drink was, frankly, pretty forgettable - not bad, just unremarkable. Wanting to see how they could do off-menu, I asked the bartender to make me a Hemingway Daiquiri. Now, for a cocktail bar that has a long history of rum centric and tiki leaning cocktails, this should be an off the top of their head cocktail. It's simple - white rum, lime and grapefruit juice, and maraschino liqueur. Bartender had never heard of it before, and then spent a few minutes staring in to his phone presumably looking up the recipe. He built it using Rhum JM white rum which is absolutely the wrong rum for this drink - it needs a white Cuban rum (which we know we can't get in the U.S.), so the usual sub would be Bacardi, Planteray 3 stars, Probitas, or others. Definitely not a Martinique agricole. This may be a too detailed nit for some, but with the framing that this is supposed to be a premium cocktail bar, this is an error that should not happen, and not for $18. Figuring the third time might be a charm, ordered the Trader Vic 1944 Mai Tai. This is the classic, the standard against which all others are measured. It's a distinct recipe, especially if you call yours the 1944 Mai Tai. This was not that. It was again light on rum with probably the wrong rums used in their blend. It was also substantially over dosed with orgeat making the almond sweetness an almost overpowering flavor versus playing a subtle supporting actor role. Again, swing and a miss. Drinkable if you like sweet, and don't mind hefty almond. But if you want to try the real Mai Tai - this is not it. Overall, for the price, fairly indifferent bar service, lack of information available to the customer (e.g., spirits list, etc.), and fairly off the mark cocktails I think you can find far better spots right now for that same money. If you definitely want that tiki inspired cocktail vibe - your better bet will be places like Wusong Road in Cambridge or Shore Leave in Boston, and I'm sure there are others. Sorry Baldwin Bar, you've lost your edge and it shows.

The service was top notch and the food was cooked nicely. Our table had the chicken parm, chicken broccoli alfredo and scallops and everyone mostly enjoyed their meals. The reason for 4 stars is the scallops were supposed to be served over mush vellutata drizzled with basil oil and they were served on plain mashed potatoes. They did not tell us about this substitution and we ordered 2 of them. This was disappointing as it was a factor for why I chose to order the dish and I did not finish my meal. Additionally they have a profiterole on their dessert menu I was excited to try and that is no longer available. I'd encourage the restaurant to be more proactive about letting diners know of substitutions during the ordering process and to update their online menu.
