I'm a fan for what it is - a nice place to hang out with friends and family with decent food and good prices. We also had outstanding service even though it's an order at the counter and pickup when your number is called kind of place. I thought there was quite a large selection of food from spuds, to chicken-fried entrees, catfish & shrimp, etc. Everything ordered from the 6 people in our party was good. Third time here and ordered breakfast and a bit of a disappointment. Took 40 minutes to get my food. I finally had to ask after I saw 3 groups who ordered after me receive their food. Seems my order and the couple's order in front of me were "lost". Received my food and the breakfast potatoes were cold. Had to ask for gravy for for my chicken fried chicken (which typically comes with it?) and received sausage gravy. Maybe need better coordination in the kitchen?? We love this place! They have a huge variety of food. My kids always want burgers or chicken fingers, I get fried shrimp and my husband gets a sub sandwich. The only downfall: it's a little pricey. It's not fast food cheap but it's not Saltgrass expensive either. read more

Just the thought of this place makes my mouth water. I have ordered to-go a dozen or so times and dined in another dozen. As picky of an eater I am, It's nice to finally find a place to doesn't screw up my simple but custom order. I am a huge fan of the X-treme Cheeseburger... The presence of melting cheese over chili, bacon and perfectly seasoned 9oz 100% beef patties makes me want to jump out of my office chair and go for a quick ride over to their location. Other things to try: Chicken Fried Steak/Chicken (as big as a per of male hands together), the low-key Philly Cheesesteak was better than Papa Genos who specializes in cheesesteaks and don't forget the "House of Pies" for dessert. The food is good, this is true. The service is great which truly separates this place from the pack. Food for 2 is always ready within 15 minutes and their isn't a long line. I like the fact they don't use waiters/waitresses because sometimes tipping can stop you from dining out. $6.99 combo isn't bad but at another $4 because your a kind person that understands that they are paid 2.13hr plus any tips. That $7 combo turns into $11 real quick which is a sharp percentage increase. I still tip 20%+ on to-go orders but it's nice to have the option of dining in without tipping if you were strapped for cash. You won't leave hungry if it was your last dime, that is a promise! They have a zillion menu items so there is something for everyone. The last time I ordered to-go, I jokingly said "This place has never let me down" in which the employee said "Don't say that, because I don't want it to happen!". I responded with confidence, "My worst experience here is still better than my best experience at many other places". Nothing stands truer that what I told him that night. I ordered today through Doordash. I had the chicken tenders with french fries. It also included cole slaw & I don't like it so I asked them not to include it, but instead to bring extra gravy. The order arrived in the stated time & I was happy! Things went downhill quickly when I noticed an additional amount had been charged for the gravy. Are you serious? I paid over $22 for a meal & you're going to nickel & dime me? The chicken was good, not great. There was no noticeable flavor. The gravy was the instant crap that's 3 for $1 for a boatload. Not nice! The fries were quite possibly the worst I've ever had! Absolute garbage! There wasn't enough ketchup in the world that would make these edible! I was also surprised that no napkins, silverware, or condiments were in the bag. I'm guessing there's an upcharge for these. I'm glad I didn't request them! Got the fried chicken sandwich and. Chicken fried steak. Both were very crispy but a bit in the greasy side. I think it was time to clean the grease in the fryers. But over all, food was good. Okay, where to begin? Ordered the catfish. It had no flavor at all and it was smashed (totally weird). However, this is not the reason for the lowest rating possible. When I started eating the fish, I discovered that it was raw in the middle. Yes, WARM and RAW!!! My stomach turned as soon as I bit into a piece. For two years we often ate weekday lunches and loved it but today we tried a Sunday meal and it was a terrible experience. We got there early while there were only 5 or 6 other patrons and ordered the luncheon fried fish and some sliders. After 15 minutes when others came and went, we saw our order go up on the shelf and my wife went to get it when one of their workers said no and took the order outside. Later a lady took it back in and said it wasn't hers so they then tried to bring it to us after being handled by other guests. 10 minutes later they brought some(?) to us but I still didn't get my fish. Went up front and after another wait, I got the catfish (without my ordered onion rings) but couldn't eat them as the batter just fell off. Underneath, the fish was dried and orange in color. I showed it to the mgr who said, we'll take care of you next time and even wrote "25 minutes" on my receipt. (I don't expect there to be the next time.) read more

Portions are large. Philly Cheesesteak was good, but they do put mayo on it, which my husband didn't care for. The chef salad was good. Good ratio of meat to lettuce. The only down side to the salad is you can tell the dressing is bottled dressing. The ranch was not good. Atmosphere was good and very busy. Workers were very friendly.
