Listen!! This will forever be my go to spot for a burger, cheeseburger and fries! The burgers are big enough to split with two people and so are the fries. Very good impact with flavor. I also like the chicken sandwich. The fish sandwich not too much a fan of it's not enough fish with too much bread. The ranch dressing is also good but not quite to my liking as it is a tad bit watery. The flavor is spot on though! Service is pretty good. They have young teens working in there that are very respectable. The ambience is pretty cool a place that you can go and sit and dine in and enjoy your food watch TV sports, etc. Hands-down will always be my recommendation for a good burger and fries. read more

My boyfriend did a takeout order at JLB Eatery on Franz Rd and honestly, it was a mess. I ordered the 2 fish & 6 shrimp combo--half Cajun, half London style--and it was a disaster. The shrimp had way too much breading. The onion rings looked like they'd been swimming in grease; there's no way I could eat them without feeling like I'm raising my cholesterol by the minute. The Cajun fried fish was paper-thin, basically just breading with zero seasoning. As a matter there was absolutely no seasoning on anything. And to top it off, no condiments came with my order. My boyfriend got The Crazy Burger. True to the name, it was chaotic, sloppy, and way too much meat. We have tried JLB a handful of times and try to support local small businesses as much as possible. The deep fried jumbo chicken wings were made to order, crispy crunchy and piping hot. However, the Korean Sweet and Spicy sauce tasted like American barbecue sauce with a slight tangy spicy kick to it. The quality of the chicken wings were pretty good, very little cooked blood - no broken bones - little fat under the skin. Unfortunately, the hamburger meat was overcooked and super dry. While we waited for our orders, the owner-operator offered us deep fried Oreos. The decor of the restaurant is nice. However, I did not see a public restroom. Such a wonderful hole in the wall burger joint in Katy! Totally very unassuming from the outside and when you're walking in, totally dissonant from the inner decor. Such a pleasant homely feeling with uplifting messages on the wall and 2 different backdrops for pictures and hashtag posts. The inside is kept very tidy and neat and owned by a sweet Korean family. The service was amazing and the owner at the cash register took the time to go over and explain each section of the menu. We have ordered here before for their fish fry during Lent season. They are very generous with their food portions! This time we ordered their chicken avocado sandwich and bbq burger with tater tots. The tots were perfectly seasoned and fried. The burger and sandwich were MASSIVE! I swear you could make 2 meals out of the burger alone. I attempted to finish my burger and could not. Everything tasted fresh, the bacon was crispy and there was nearly a full avocado in the chicken sandwich. We were very content after finishing our meal! Whoever made this menu is a kindred; there are like a gazillion different ways you can get your fries. You want waffle fries? They got 'em. Curly? Got 'em. Shoestring? You betcha. They're gigantic and nuzzled between a wonderful bun that doesn't fight you but somehow also holds its own amidst the gloriously juicy ground beef patty. This is not the best burger I've had in Katy, but it is definitely the largest and it's still very good. Would not recommend dining in at this location. It's attached to a gas station so not only is seating limited, it's just not really an eat-in kind of place unless you're in a pinch. Plenty of ordering options available including online and calling in. They're also offered on many of the popular food delivery platforms if you're just not feeling the human interaction. This place isover hyped. The meat is chunky and dry and it's very overpriced for what you get. The bread is like 3 inches thick. I do not recommend coming here. Also the Customer Service is lacking. The burgers here are MASSIVE. You definitely get your bang for your buck here. We got the bacon avocado chicken burger and bbq burger with tater tots. The tater tots were very crispy! The burgers were a bit difficult to hold up and eat since they're so massive but that is a problem I don't mind having. It can get messy though so I would probably recommend taking this home to eat instead of eating it there. Flavors were good and definitely recommend both of the burgers we had. We also had their fish and chips when we first tried this place and they give so much food! Definitely recommend that if you want to eat a classic fried catfish filet. I stumbled across this little gem in Old Katy while I was meandering around headed to get some tacos elsewhere. I pulled over and checked it out on Yelp to get an idea if the burgers had 'the look' I've been seeking for so long. It had the look, so I busted a U-ey and pulled in. Lydia, one of the owners is super charming and genuinely happy to take care of every customer. She greets everyone with a smile and bids them farewell with a genuine personality. This burger met and exceeded all of my expectations. If an old school burger from yester-decade is something you long for then your search will end here. This is going to be my new spot, walking in I'm hearing all of my favorite Christian music. I LOVE LOVE that I get to sing along while eating some delicious burgers. It is my family's favorite burger place. And we are lucky that it's right down the road from us. The food is delicious. The burgers are huge. My son loves the buffalo chicken strips. We have loved everything we have tried. I go with the double meat cheeseburger every time. It is so delicious. Also get the order of tater tots. The staff is extremely friendly. They even recognize this for me to come in which was extra special. It can get busy there so you can call in your order. If you have not tried them, you must do it ASAP. read more

We have been coming to this location since it opened in April of 2022 (we stumbled across it when we realized our Churches chicken was gone... lol). We have eaten here many times and it is always great! I remember being so blown away with the taste, the value and the service from the start. We did have a couple other 'favorite' local burger places (we've lived in the area almost 15 years) but once we ate here, this is now our only go-to spot. We just ordered out again last night and I'm still amazed by the value and quality. The burger I got last night (the same as my first one from them) was massive! I generally get 3 full meals out of my one Burger (how is that for cost savings?!). My wife luvs their fried fish meals, which is usually the craving that gets us in the car to go there ;) . We have tried most of their menu items and never had a bad one or experience. So for about $35 total we get 2 -3 meals from all we get each time and can each try each others different foods. The food always reheats wonderfully (air fry), burgers, Cajun fish, fries, fish & chips, onion rings, fired and grilled chicken sandwiches, wings and lots more. With everything being so expensive these days (especially in eating out) we are so glad this place is still thriving and delicious and such a great value for our $$. Always a laid back dining experience when we eat there and the whole place is nicely laid out and comfortable (and spotless). Super nice people running it too. Take it from two people who cook for their livelihood, we HIGHLY recommend giving it a try. :D read more

Firstly, I'll start by saying that the service was really great. It was my first time and the cashier helped me decide what to eat. She was very sweet. The restaurant itself is very clean. The food was really good. The owner or manager even was passing out sweet potatoes snack. We got the crazy burger and buffalo wrap. My epicurean dining partner remarked, "Quite possibly the BEST burger I have ever eaten!" His double burger with the works (no lettuce or tomato) was thick and scrumptious. His only complaint "It's so big and juicy! I should have had them cut it in half!" I had a Pollack Fish sandwich which was magnificent! Perfectly breaded and huge! Delicious.
