    Fish sandwich

I decided to give this place a shot ! I stay near by so wanted to support what seemed like a mom and pop shop! I got the fish sandwich. It was 7.8/10 . I ordered Cajun but I don't think they gave me Cajun !No season was on there and no spice to it I love the crispness , the tartar sauce and the fries were great ! The avocado was fresh as well ! The inside was very clean Service was good . I'll double back again and try the regular burgers . The only con I will say is the prices are high . 31 for 2 ppl is a bit much . He messed up our order for one so we had to pick all the things we asked not to have on there off ... GO SUPPORT THOUGH

Average service. Great taste and super generous portion sizes (enough to share.) Bread is definitely fresh made and meat is definitely Angus beef. Definitely add to your list of local spots.

Overall a great experience. I was in the area and have been wanting to try this place out. Plenty of parking spaces in the plaza (for now until more businesses open), clean area both inside and out. Friendly service but seems like it's just one guy running the restaurant, whom I believe is the owner. Good foot traffic restaurant where I see more pickup orders during the day than dining-in. Avocado burger with fries and drink was delicious. It's clean kind of burger. Not oily and made with real angus beef. I like their sour dough bun and how huge it is! Steak fries are delicious and not overly salty - just the way I like it. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their chicken wrap was also a nice pick. Crispy chicken with plenty of lettuce and jalapeño. A tad watery but not bad, reminds me of deli shops in NY and MA. Would I come again? Definitely. I even recommended it to friends later on in the day who also live in this area. In case anyone is looking for a job, they are now hiring!

Food was hot and not greasy at all. It was delicious and flavorful. I would suggest ask for tartar sauce when ordering so that you don't forget like I did.

First things first - the pictures do not do it justice, the portions are GIGANTIC. The burgers are the size of the entire full-size to-go box (you can't even fit fries in the same box, they take up the whole thing), you are 100% getting the quantity for the price. I really wanted to like this place; however, the taste was just not there for me. Average fries that don't beat chick-fil-a, while the patty melt and burgers were large, the taste doesn't beat whataburger (which would be my burger benchmark for the cost). The food taste itself is somewhere in between Sonic and Whataburger even though I believe their ingredients are fresher. Ordered: Chill-cheese waffle fries, Patty Melt, Angus Beef Burger Would I Recommend to Try? No Would I Return? No Ambiance- 5/10 Food Taste- 5/10 Service- 8/10 Date Worthy- 3/10 Value- 8/10

I've heard great things about this place and we finally took a trip for lunch. As soon as we walked into the restaurant, my daughter noticed that it looked just like Joy Love Burger. I confirmed this with the guy behind the counter that this is what JLB stands for. Instead of going with the huge burgers that we normally order at JLB, I had the fried pork, my daughter had the wings, and my wife had a chicken wrap. My wife enjoyed her chicken wrap, and I liked the fried pork, but the wings were a little bland. Portions are large, I have two big pieces of fried pork and took leftovers back. I do like the fact that you get a small salad, fries, and a drink with a combo order. You can also order different dressings and sauces when waiting for your meal. The barbecue sauce was good for dipping my fried pork into. Self-serve drinks (Pepsi products). They will bring your food and sauces to your table. Good service. Great little lunch place. We may return next time for their famous burgers.

I ordered take out for lunch and was not disappointed. The portion was HUGE; I could barley take a bite out of it. Overall, solid burger with big portion sizes. Really friendly service from the cashier as well.

Portions are large here so order carefully! I ordered the JLB cheeseburger. It is the definition of a burger. The buns are made every day at JLB and I can confirm they are soft and fresh. The lettuce and pickles don't slip out of the burger when you take a bite into it. The patty is juicy and not burnt. I also ordered fries, which have a delicious flavor akin to UK style "fish and chips." They are crispy, not overly salty, with a hint of parmesan and paprika - Yum! I will always recommend JLB for a true cheeseburger experience.

Our server was friendly, attentive, and had a great attitude from start to finish. Unfortunately, almost everything else felt like a step backward. The menu has been reduced dramatically. Once you take away the oyster selections, there are very few entrée choices left. Many of the dishes that kept me coming back are no longer offered. The drink menu has also been cut down significantly. They used to have a much better selection, and it just doesn't feel like the same restaurant anymore. Another frustration is that they're in an area with poor cell service, yet customer Wi-Fi is no longer available. Whether you're trying to check a message, work while you eat, or simply stay connected, it's almost impossible. As for the food, it was just okay. Nothing was bad, but nothing stood out either. I ordered the crab cake with the arugula salad and a shrimp cocktail. Ironically, the small arugula salad that came with the single crab cake was the best part of my meal. The crab cake and shrimp cocktail were fine, but neither was memorable or something I'd come back for. Overall, it feels like Half Shells has lost much of what made it special. Between the limited menu, reduced drink options, lack of Wi-Fi, and average food, it's no longer the destination it once was for me. I truly hope they reconsider some of these changes because I'd love to see this restaurant return to what made it such a great place to dine.

Oyster itself was very flavorful. For starters, we had the Jumbo Peri Peri shrimp and Jollof's Fire Bomb. The shrimps were just regular shrimps and was chewy. The Fire Bomb was tasty with brisket meat inside. We order the ribeye and fried red snapper for our mains. Suya Ribeye was very flavorful from the African spices. The jollof rice was delicious. My first time trying it. Kinda crispy and has a kick. Fried Fred snapper was well executed. My wife loved it. It was unfortunate that the restaurant was so dark that you can't really see your food to appreciate the effort that was put into it. It was a nice gesture that Chef Casey came out to talk to his customers. For desserts, we had the crème brûlée and banana fosters. Banana fosters was a big scoop of ice cream with couple slices of banana which was a bit disappointing. In comparison to other HrW restaurants, you can get more bang for the buck at other places. We would go back for the mains but skip the appetizers and desserts.

I ordered the 'Midnight Berry' martini and it was perfection--super smooth and really well balanced. We shared the spinach dip with chips. We both thought it was a little plain and could have used a bit more salt or seasoning. The drinks and appetizer were reasonably priced, and our server was great--he checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, I'd come back!

Even purchasing a NEW card!!! -I was again suppose to have $25 in points...Katy location said I had none I just bought the card 3 weeks ago and they ( Bob) supposedly "fixed" everything'. The goal of this Katy location was to get us in and out- they achieved it with success- since the waitress didn't seem to care why i didn't eat my burger or onion rings nor the center of the bloody bread-I didn't leave a tip. I took my left overs home-so I could recook everything. I really didn't have the patience of going through my "point" credits after spending time with Bob at the willowbrook location -2 to 3 times already-including at work and after hours. I just wanted to enjoy a night off-not having to work for Food-I thought I already paid for. done I have no direct messages-which can be seen- feel free to contact Bob at Willowbrook- we have spoken 3-4 times during the about 2-3 weeks ago. He will probably remember the issue- they kept having a difficult time-thus why i just bought another card for $25...and he called to say it was fixed. I'm sure he thought it was too. I was very tired that night -the review was rough- but sometimes you just want to know someone out there cares. Maybe i can at least get my $25 back for my card purchase.

I could not pass up the fresh raw oysters they were small , but tasty. I love the warm New Orleans French bread ; you can not get that just anywhere. Their decor is colorful too. Today I tried the baked red snapper topped with crab meat and a very good cream sauce. I upgraded the steamed veggies for dirty rice. That was the only disappointment. It did not have a depth of flavor and it lacked a kick. Overall the meal was pretty delightful.
