If I could give zero stars, I would. Round 9 has been one of the worst business experiences I've ever had, and I feel obligated to warn others. While I was pregnant and even postpartum, I was repeatedly harassed and treated with a complete lack of empathy or professionalism. Instead of supporting someone trying to prioritize their health during such a vulnerable time, this gym made me feel pressured, harassed, and exploited. Round 9 only seems to honor the parts of their contract that benefit them. I followed every single requirement outlined to properly terminate my contract, and even sought legal advice to ensure I did so properly, and yet they flat-out refused to release me. They twisted their own policies to trap me into continuing payments, despite me meeting all obligations. This is predatory and unethical. Their business practices are not only unfair but also heartless, particularly in how they handled my situation as a pregnant and postpartum woman. It's shameful that a gym would treat its members this way, especially those navigating such a sensitive chapter of life. Because of their refusal to honor their own contract, I will be taking this matter to arbitration. Consumers deserve to know exactly what kind of company they're dealing with before signing anything with Round 9. read more

Trainers are amazing and they keep you on track! If you like a balance of having a trainer at times or working independently, or get shy in a group setting, this set up will work for you! They are also now offering self-guided sessions which fits into anyone's schedule! read more

1) excellent team of trainers and staff. Great group of people that help and push you to get the best of your workout time. 2) I find the fellow members very helpful and motivating. Some advanced, some beginners. I've never felt out of place. 3) this is effective use of time. Not like at gym with limited equipment time and crowding issues. All of my Coaches guided me into the correct direction and still today they continue to push me to stay in the zone and grind it out. Like to charge members outside of contact and make you fight for a refund. I went out on due to a medical condition that required surgery, downtime and rehabilitation. I submitted a doctor's note, discovered in the process that my condition will not make returning this style of exercise a simple process and decided I would need to transition to a new fitness option. Despite the note, 9 rounds started charging me after a few weeks. Was not offered a refund for those charges and was told they will charge me again to cancel membership. My experience of this gym was it was money oriented and as a result my experience is soured. I will not be returning or recommending. read more

Owner does not have integrity. Do not trust Larry, he's good at putting on a show when you first sign up. After that he didn't seem to give any F's. When you are wanting to sign up and give him your money, he's available. He will absolutely make time to contact you. On the other hand, I've been trying to cancel my membership for months and I've left several messages. And no surprise, NO ONE WILL RESPOND. This is the result of a business that really isn't thriving, instead they take advantage of contracts like mine. It is more about misrepresentation, and less about doing the right thing. I'd be careful before joining the Camarillo location. It is sad when businesses take advantage of the consumer. I LOVED this place back when I began in 2018. I went everyday, but there was a shift that happened in 2019 that I didn't understand until I read that Julie and Chuck left... There was a significant downturn in the attitudes there. Suddenly my favorite trainers disappeared, when that happened I noticed I was becoming frequently injured. I would ask the trainers for modifications and they couldn't/wouldn't give me any, so I quit. I wasn't about to pay them over $100 a month to keep injuring me. I don't recommend this place since the owner change. I hope they find better trainers who can assist people who need modifications. read more

If there was an option for '0' stars that is what the business deserves. A true sign when the gym is closed and they are begging and pleading for you to continue to pay while the gym is closed and then promise they will credit your account. The gym was great when the prior owner, Tom and the trainers, Julie & Chuck were there. It was never the same or better after they were gone. The membership is certainly more than half of what it was and it is all about the mighty $ now, no personal service or care. There are plenty of other gyms to select from in the area that have great workouts, management, staff and that are clean to select from. Be very cautious if you are considering this location and owner. If you look at all the positive reviews it was before the current owner took over, all the negative 1 STAR reviews are current owner reviews. read more

When COVID started, they pleaded for us not to freeze or cancel our memberships because they needed it to survive. For the last 4 months, they have still been charging me full price without a way to freeze my membership. What am I getting out of my monthly $108/ month? 1 online class every Monday morning. I worked out at this gym for about a year. The workouts are challenging but I loved that part. Julie and Chuck are amazing! I loved the fact they knew your name as I would come at least 4-5 times a week. It's so great you can come in and workout and dont have wait for a class time. I have been going to 9Round for the last year and a half. Actually since the first day they opened. I have recommended 6 people whom all have joined and love it as well. 2 have since quit due to it not working with their children's (sports and school) schedule. They told me that there was no issues cancelling their membership. They gave a 30 day notice to Tom (the owner) and that was it. Other gyms (who shall remain nameless) make it very difficult. My husband had to close his bank account due to this gym continuing to charge his account. We are a 9Round family!!! Tom is a very hands on owner. Used my Axxess card for a free workout. Pros: workout is fast, 30ish minutes and you're done. Staff were professional and helpful. Cons: The music is so loud I could barely hear the instructor talking to me which made it very difficult to concentrate. Boxing gloves I was given to use were soaked inside after using them at few of the stations. I'm thinking there were a lot of germs which is not cool. There's almost a rushed vibe to go to the next stations, which I get because there are people finishing their stations and you have to keep moving but when it's your first time there...it's a bit much. This gym is really geared toward a much younger crowd. I'm 61 and I can't think of any of my friends in that age bracket or a bit younger who would sign on for this place, given the music and not being able to really grasp onto the concept because you have to move so quickly from station to station. read more

Just had my first session and it was awesome! The coaches were helpful and encouraging, I felt super challenged and exhausted by the end which is what I seek in a workout class, and it was only a half hour (which is about the time I tend to check out in most hour long workout classes) so I loved how quick the workout was. I was new to the workout when I joined and learned from the scratch but they are always by your side and help you to correct the move And never make you feel bad. Its like personal training.
