Completed a fraudulent MO safety inspection and wanted over $2000 for unnecessary repairs to pass the inspection. I took my car to a different shop and they said there were no repairs needed to pass my inspection. I am reporting this location to the MO State Patrol as a fraudulent inspection site. I called to make an appointment. The guy told me to be there at 2pm. I arrived at 2 to be told there are now people in front of me and it would be a 90 min wait. It's not hard to just schedule me when you have a spot instead of triple booking and not being able to provide an appointment you promised. Not impressed with this location. Twice now I have made an appointment online with them. At the end of the online process, it states that someone from Midas will contact me either by phone or e-mail within 30 minutes to confirm my appointment. After a day, no contact at all. On both counts. This includes the last visit I set up via the internet. So I called to confirm. Showed up for the appointment. Service was friendly and quick. But, evidently they didn't read the online reservation. I asked for conventional 5w20 oil. Which is the weight that is supposed to be in it. But no, they put synthetic blend in at 10w30. Without telling me what they were doing. This was the second time they put the heavier weight in it. And it clearly states on the oil filler cap 5w20. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I will NOT be returning to this Midas. read more

DO NOT BRING YOU VEHICLE HERE!! Sisters stepson brought his 2000 honda accord in for a brake line leak.. the spliced a 2 foot section of line with single flare connections at either end. Brake lines call for double flare. Fitting. Had it on the lift for 10 hrs and couldn't complete the "repair ". Told my sister that the rotors were cracked and needed replaced.. No such damage. I replaced the line from priority valve to the wheel in less than 2 hours in the parking lot of the auto parts store next to them... This is the kind of place that gives mechanics a bad name. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The guy at the front desk wouldn't allow me to elaborate on any issues I was concerned about. He was only interested in changing my oil. I had a coupon which included other services. He wouldn't look at it or acknowledge me when I was talking to him about it. I had to walk into the garage and hand it to the mechanic so he knew what services to perform. Informed me of incorrect information so they wouldn't have to perform the labor included on the coupon I had. Went to another shop directly after leaving Midas which informed me of this information after looking at my vehicle. I will never go to another Midas again. When I got there, they said the coupon was for standard cars and mine needed synthetic oil. Since I did not want to go elsewhere I went ahead and agreed. Incredible experience (from a very leery person on car repair shops). Cody, Chris, and the other mechanics were incredible to work with. We're from out of town, stalled on the side of the highway, & got towed to this Midas. Not only did they keep their shop open way past their closing time just for our family, but they took us back and showed us the before, during, and after of the issues that needed fixed. Pricing for all the repairs done were very reasonable and they could not have been more understanding and helpful. If we lived closer we would make this our permanent repair spot solely based on this experience alone. Over the top customer care and service seems to be more of a rarity today than ever before but guys like this help to keep that faith alive. Had a sales guy come into my place of business and sell me on a coupon book with some free services and oil changes. The fine print said by appointment only. So I thought I'd give them a chance. Keep in mind I've been in the professional automotive industry for years. The first time I brought in my suv and wanted the oil changed and a front end alignment. I also had a coupon for a free engine code diagnostics and I did have a check engine light on. After waiting hours they finally pulled my truck in and did the work. However I think they did not do an alignment because it they were done in like 30 minutes. They never showed me the specs on the alignment. They charged me 30 bucks to change a fuse and I went on my way. So I'm here today trying to give them another chance. Had a 1:30 appointment and it is now 2:50 and my truck has not moved. They waited till 10 minutes ago to tell me there tire machine can't do wheels over 18in. So now it's going to get pulled in for a free oil change and I can only imagine how that will go. Very disappointed with the service and quality. Heard the guy lie multiple times to customers and make excuses for the wait times. Be careful about using them. They lie to not have to do the work so they can not have to work late. What tire shop can only change 18in wheels and under. Most factory cars have 20in wheels these days. They are pulling it out now. Never rotated the tires. 2hrs for an oil change. Came out and there was grease all over my door and hood. read more

The first time I took my Cadillac the experience was terrible, I took it there for a tire that needed patched and these clowns give me a 1200 bill for items they considered needed to be fixed. And the funny part is they didn't even get it right, I NEVER ASKED FOR A WALK AROUND ON MY VEHICLE I ASKED FOR A TIRE PATCH!!! The second time was worse, they failed my wife's car on inspection for a windshield wiper (which of coarse I paid to have replaced) and again with their free inspection and cabin filters that they seem to recommend to everyone. The best part was when the manager asked me if I was a dancer when I paid with ones, what a moron. Too bad this place is close to my house, never again. read more

I took my 07" Silverado here for an inspection. After I left, I almost rear ended someone because of the grease and dirt they left on my brake rotors. Now my brakes feel rough like something is grinding. My brakes were just replaced a month ago and the rotors turned. Also, while I waited, my girlfriend and I went next door to work out. I was told I would receive a call when my truck was done, but nobody called me. I went outside of the gym to take a phone call and saw my truck in the lot for a few minutes before I ended the call and went back to midas. When I got back to my truck, I discovered my door was left unlocked. BIG NO NO!!! My stereo system is worth $1000 alone along with a $300 tool set and $300 worth of CDs. Every mechanic knows to lock the doors when they're done with a vehicle. I'm not going to press the fact that the staff wasn't very friendly or courteous, but I'm furious knowing that I could have been in a wreck and my girlfriend, someone else or I could have been injured. This is what happens when a company hires and barely trains podunks to do a job. Go to a reputable business who only hires A.S.E certified mechanics. We had our 99 contour service this past Saturday for the first time here. Nothing was wrong with it before taking in. They gave an quote of price what need fixed. Well the main was oil valve gasket Humm not sure about that as there was no oil leak but holy cow the next day there was a steady drip from oil cap as the person that worked on the car DID NOT tighten the cap after they put it back on. we will NOT come back and have told our daughter as she took her car there the same day. I was informed upon my arrival into Spfld that all cars have to be inspected before being tagged , Great , has anyone been to the Calif DMV ? It's literally ran by the devil . I took my vehicle to Midas due to the fact it just happened to be next to the gym I joined ... Came in , made a appointment , went to get my Swoll on and was interrupted by a phone call while I was in the middle of super setting .. Not happy , anyway , it was the manger of midas letting me know the $$ estimate of my truck being brought up to code amd would it be ok to go ahead amd commit to fixing the truck . I then took another sip of my Jacked 3d , it's now illegal BTW , and continued my pump ( Arnold Voice ) I went to get my car amd the lady , manager I'm assuming , said they fixed something be repacking it in house and I didn't need to be charged the full price .
