I hate having to do stuff on my car....it's like going to the dentist. Necessary evil. Have been coming here for years.... Nan and his wife Sissy have always been friendly and straightforward. Yes I do think they are sometimes expensive, but cheaper than the dealership. And since I get my cars from California it's much better to go to an independent shop. Nan has been fixing Mercedes for 30 years, and has been at this current location on Sheridan Street for 8 years. It's sometimes better to make an appointment. I just realized today that my safety check had expired--lol! Like two months ago. Oops drove over and as soon as one of the car bays was opened, got my safety check done. Depending on how long they will take, I can sometimes get a ride to where I need to go. They always give you an estimate on how long it will take, and call you when your car is done. Conveniently located blocks from Ala Moana. Efficient, friendly service. Ask first if you want to check prices ( if they find anything they will call you anyway). Mercedes only.

Awesome service. Very friendly and honest about the job that needed to be done.. ( replace engine mount ) Changed bulbs in both side marker, high beam and parking light with out charge.. I highly recommend A 1 EURO AUTO for any service of your BENZ and JAGUARS.

Only place I trust with my vintage 1990 Mercedes Benz 560sec! They now their way around these special vehicles

The official quote from A1. Too expensive. Over prices parts and labor fees. Sumidas also works on Benz and charges a lot less.

Too expensive. Told me it would take 1.5 hours to replace camshaft sensors and they would charge $130/hr. The day of the repair I stayed and waited. It took 20 minutes. Turns out it wasn't the problem anyways (not their fault). I needed camshaft adjusters replaced not he sensors. He Initially estimated at around $3600. Sent me an official quote for $4400 and offered a military discount of $400 Went to Sumida's and paid $2430 for the same thing. Car runs great! Compared the parts required for my repair with both quotes and the Sumidas had way less required parts. No shade to the company. They have a business to run. Just letting people know there are other options.

Once again, my problem is fixed quickly, and far less expensive than the dealership has charged me in the past. Great service! AAA+++

Thankfully, they weren't too far away. When I arrived, the gentleman immediately welcomed me, pulled my van into the shop, and started diagnosing the issue. The customer service I received was exceptional, and I truly appreciate how helpful and accommodating they were. I'm looking forward to having them service my vehicle and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for honest and great customer service. I also want to add that while my van was being diagnosed, the gentleman noticed my coolant was low and took the time to add more coolant for me. I truly appreciate that extra step. It showed me that they genuinely care about their customers and are willing to help beyond just the service they're providing. Small acts like that really stand out and mean a lot. Thank you for your kindness and for going above and beyond. I wanted to come back and update my review now that everything has been completed. I picked up my van, and the AC is working great! The repair was completed, and I'm very happy with the results. The final price was reasonable for the amount of labor involved, and I appreciate the work that was done. Overall, I'm satisfied with the service and look forward to bringing my van here again for future repairs and maintenance. Thank you, Auto Papa, for getting my AC back up and running!

ALL 3 of the employees on the premises avoided me. No one even bothered to look at me. I tried to approach nicely saying excuse me, and all of them don't talk back. They just gesture their hands at me to go away. Like I am seriously shocked... Horrible service. To note, I did go to the office first because I read the sign. But no one was there and I waited with no one coming in to help me. So that is when I tried to ask the employees. I've never been here before so I wasn't sure if someone knew I was waiting since I had no appointment, per the phone call. Well, now I know to never come here.

Since my last review over five years ago, Uncle James has helped me with an AC leak diagnosis, engine and transmission mount replacements, front and rear brake pads and rotors, a tune-up when my car was bogging, an alternator replacement, radiator replacement (because I cracked it trying to do the alternator myself), and now a transmission filter replacement. Pretty much every major maintenance or repair on my car has been done here, unless it was something I handled myself at home (the only exception being my CV axles that I saw Uncle Alan for at Kaimuki Auto). I'm incredibly thankful for Uncle James and the team for consistently delivering quality work at genuinely fair prices. I recently spent months doing drain-and-fills on my transmission fluid due to slippage driving uphill and hesitation between gears after cold starts. By the third drain, it became obvious the fluid wasn't improving at all. There's a common myth that transmission fluid lasts the "lifetime" of the car, but the reality is, it often doesn't. Just like ignoring oil changes, neglecting transmission fluid can eventually lead to serious (and expensive) repairs. In many cases, transmission work can cost even more than engine repairs. So here I am, trying to address the issue the best way I can. I won't lie, part of me hates that my car is now at the stage where issues pop up once or twice a year. Financially, though, buying a new car just isn't in the cards right now. Uncle James makes it possible for me to keep my car running safely and affordably while I work toward that next step, and I'm sure many others in the community feel the same way. McCully Auto remains my #1 choice for automotive maintenance and repairs. I've never had a bad experience, and I'm deeply grateful for the generosity, honesty, and wisdom Uncle James continues to share. I don't know what I would do without him, honestly.

He's gone out of his was to order parts specially for me when my A/C broke and he's always accommodating when I need stuff like oil changes. He's super busy all the time which is a testament to his business being a neighborhood staple. He definitely relies on family and friend referrals though so if you're a brand new customer you might not get help as fast as you want. But that's just because of his popularity with local families.
