I've only recently moved my stuff into this storage facility so I will update it later. I'd actually rate this place at 4.5 stars for one instance and I'll tell you why. First off, this place is well kept and as far as a storage unit, I have zero complaints. The staff is friendly and professional and got me the best rate possible. I got a unit on the 2nd floor and using the freight elevator has been no problem. This facility and its staff are truly great. My only complaint is for the 24 hour service department which should show no reflection on the staff at the facility. I hired movers to help me pack and move my stuff into storage. The movers were late and it took a long time to load up the truck so by the time we got into the facility, it was around 10. I know the facility has certain hours so I was already treading on water but I had the movers help me so I had to complete the move that night. I was able to get in, but we finished close to 1am and could not get out. Since it was after hours, my passcode did not work. So my irritation is not because of the hours, but because the person I reached at the 24 hour help made no effort to help me. She just said leave your car there, walk out the gate, and come get your car tomorrow at 9am. So what am I going to do at 1am? And moreso I have these movers who have helped me move and they can't just leave. Then I had the movers call and whoever answered then helped reach someone who was able to remotely open the gate and we were out around 2am. That's my sole complaint. There is a fine for being there afterhours and thankfully the staff waived it for this instance but I just didn't appreciate the 24 hour service lady making no effort in trying to help or alleviate the situation and even started to give me attitude. read more

i am so disapointed in this storage place i am beyond upset. my house burned down on 02/15/13 and i went to get a storage with them because they are up the street from, on 03/16/13 i went to move some stuff out of my unit into a rental house we got till our house is rebuilt and i come to find mice dropping and dried up pieces of corn all over my furinture. The manger Todd admit that they had a mice problem that they just kicked out a person before i came for having food and in a storage unit in my building and thought they had it under controll. I mean you think they would have the common curtisy to let people know they have a mice issue. now i am totally screwed out of any of my belongings that were in my unit. my furniure who knws whatrat or thing crawled all over my mattress. I refused to move the items that are coverd in rat hair and feces. they told me if i do not remove the items they will send me to collections i am so beyond frustarted and upset with this place and with the only insurance you can get when getting a unit it does not cover for vermon or insects so i am basically fucked.. this is such bullshit.. read more

Excellent storage facility. Our non-profit dog rescue group needed a place to store event supplies. We at first had selected a 5' x 5' unit that turned out to be way too small to hold our stuff. A-1 immediately accommodated us with a larger unit the same day. We wound up renting a ground floor, drive-up outdoor 10' x 10' unit, which suited our needs just fine. The rental rate was affordable, and the hours of access generous. We no longer need to do public events, so it follows that we no longer need the unit. But it served its purpose great for us for the 4 years we rented it. Wonderful helpful staff, clean premises. Convenient central location for Orange County; close to the 405, 91, 5, 605 and 22 Freeways! Highly recommended. read more

Excellent excellent excellent. I was afraid to use this storage because I store very valuable things that mean a lot to me, family pictures, old things that to other people would be worthless, but to me, very priceless! A young lady by the name of Amy made me feel real comfortable, she made me feel real secure. Her attitude was excellent, splendid, exciting, adventurous, she reminded me of a cartoon character, just so nice and kind and welcoming!! I am planning on renting a storage space at this facility(I have one reserved), the personnel are friendly, the place looks clean. The walls of the unit are metal, which is much better than the walls covered with drywall that I've seen at another storage facility I visited. So far so good. Clean, secure facility. Never once saw evidence of bugs or other pests. Easy access to my space, and cart was readily available. Staff is friendly and very helpful. If/when I need self storage again, I will definitely come back to A-1. read more
