I never thought I would be reviewing a storage unit location but here we are! My friend and I were looking for a spot that was convenient and wouldn't break the bank between the two of us. When looking for places on Yelp, A1 immediately popped up with the best reviews. I went on the website to look at the sizes as well as pricing and how to get going. I was so thrilled that they put everything on the website - many storage unit places will not tell you the price ahead of time which to me, is very uncomfortable. I placed a hold and advised we would move in the next day, and not even two minutes after the hold, they immediately gave me a call and asked if I had any questions or needed more info. Literally from the start the service was so prompt and I was shocked and happy. Next day we met with Crystal, who showed us around the unit, gave us the 411 (and shared some funny stores when we asked) and got us through the paperwork in record time. I think in total, even with dropping our things off, we were there for a little over an hour, which is a success in my book! So grateful to A1 for making the process of renting a unit hassle-free and truly anxiety-reducing. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Overall a great storage place with super friendly staff. Took off one star because the indoor units have no lighting inside which is a bit of a struggle as you can't really see everything so you will need to bring a flashlight with you. Also it can get very hot in those units so keep that in mind when you are moving stuff around. Rent is increased yearly by about $10 which isn't terrible, but there were no noticeable differences to the place, just remember that going into it the price will not stay the same throughout your time being there. The best thing about this place is the staff; they are all super friendly and very nice and go over everything with you when you first move in and answer any questions you may have. Just moved to California from the east coast and we have way too much stuff for the houses down here! So we decided to store some things to give us room to get organized. This place is clean, has good security and is close to our house. Price is good as well. Amy is very friendly, yet professional. She showed us 2 different size units so we could get a visual on how much space we needed. She went over the contract and answered any questions we had. read more

Super friendly staff. The storage units are very safe! You have to use their special lock, but the reasoning behind that is it will not allow you to forget to lock your unit and leave through the gate. Your gate code includes your storage unit number. Price is pretty similar to what you pay for a storage unit. I highly recommend this place! read more

My first time renting a storage and luckily found a-1 storage to be the most convenient location for me. They gave me the closest and most easy entry / garage for me because my life is so tough that I'm actually thankful for this easy peasy spot! I've never had a storage before but I wish all leases were as pleasant of an experience as it has been here with this A-1 storage. They are very organized and neat! Todd and Amy extremely personable and make you feel like a family member rather than a customer. Amy went through in detail all the rules and regulation for the storage and even highlighted the important details that could be easily overlooked. She took me to view the storage and walked me through the process of how to enter and exit the facility and she did this before I signed. I mean I can't say enough about the attention to detail and customer service they provide here! I like this place. They always do a great job keeping the place clean and the people in the front office are always nice and pleasant to speak to. My only complaint is that if you are behind on your payment they are quick to start that process to get your stuff inventoried and on the chopping block. I get it that they have to be that way but excessive fees suck and they will stack them on you. read more

This location on Ball Road is always clean and secure. I always feel safe when I go to my unit and the unit itself is secure, clean and dry. Payment options are simple! They always give you a courtesy call and a grace period if you may have forgotten to pay (as I often do!). The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Amy. When I was relocating to the area from San Jose, she handled everything over the phone. She even had Time for small talk, on more than one occasion giving me advice on local job hunting. We have "stored" here for over 8 years. A few weekends back I entered our unit only to smell cigarette's. Oh! Me....Oh! Mywe have 2 and this was the one that had family photos and precious memories from my set and hubby's side who have died. I phone the front desk and immediately they picked up. I said I was concerned about the possibility of everything burning up. The manager hopped on a cart and went to hunt down the person who was smoking not only did he talk to him he took them in the office and I believe he told him the concerns and what could happen if stuff that could never never never be replaced burned.
