I dropped off a red silk blouse at Abe Cleaners with a young woman working up front. It had 2 small water spots, which I pointed out. At pick-up, the water spots were gone. In their place were 10 black stains, blots and smudges; hard to tell if it's grease, ink or something else. When I confronted the owner, he claimed the stains were there "when he got it." If the stains were there when I dropped off the blouse, wouldn't the employee have noted that on the ticket? Someone may have dropped the blouse or handled it carelessly before it got to him, in which case he wasn't lying. Either way, the blouse is ruined, and Abe Cleaners has lost a customer. read more

Had my 3 piece suit dry cleaned here. Dropped my suit off with minor makeup stains from hugging people, small grass stain and dirt/sweat stains. Picked the suit up 3 days later all plastic wrapped up and when I got home to look at it, every piece of my suit still had stains on it. Went back and they said they couldn't help. Wouldn't recommend if you need your suit cleaned. read more

The only place I'll take my dry cleaning. My husband and I got married in a tiny backyard ceremony during the pandemic and my dress arrived in the mail stained from the packaging. I took it to Abe and received it a couple days later looking good as new. About a year later, I accidentally stained my husband's custom barong tagalog with makeup and Abe cleaned it so well. If I can give zero stars I would. The absolute worst experience. I brought in a brand new dress that was shipped to me but it was very wrinkled. I asked only for it to be pressed. I go pick it up and there was a stain on it. I told the owner and he kept insisting that i brought it in that way. He wouldve seen it and marked it as they inspect it before accepting it. . Like why would i bring a stained dress to be pressed and not cleaned? If he would just apologize and tried to clean it i wouldnt mind but he was so rude and dismissive. All these great reviews and i trusted it. The absolute worst place. No accountability and very overpriced. If only the quality matched the price. read more

My search for a great dry cleaner continues. Abe Cleaners is okay--not particularly good but not bad either. So far I've given them simple no-muss, no-fuss orders that they really couldn't screw up. The counter help has not been particularly friendly and the prices are pretty expensive like many other dry cleaners. A mom and pops establishment run by a couple of hardworking small business owners who are great at what they do. What more could you want? Fast service and reasonable prices? Yes they do. Turn around time for typical dry cleaning is about 3-4 days at about $4 a shirt. I love the fact that my shirts don't come back to me with bobby-pins stuck in them with a garment number. My previous dry cleaners would do that and after a while the holes became noticeable. I had my trepidations about taking my cleaning to them recently, because the long-time owners had sold to a new owner in the past year. But rest assured that the new owner is knowledgeable and service is great there. They go above and beyond. There is metered parking in front and in back of the store, and they also have a few free stalls in the back that belong to them. Yes, you can enter from the back or the front. Honestly, the outside does not do the Abe dry cleaner justice. The outside is a little dirty, but that is overshadowed by the great customer service that they have. I came to Abe Cleaners on a Tuesday morning and when the owner told me they could have my order done by Saturday, I actually needed it done by Thursday. The owner was very nice and accommodating to my request. When I came to pick up my order on Thursday afternoon, everything was nicely cleaned and orderly. I offered a tip for finishing my order earlier than expected but he declined it and kindly asked for my business again, which I gladly do in the future. Two entrances available on either Kuulei rd or Uluniu St. Kuulei Rd has easy street parking in front of the shop or free parking in front of second entrance on Uluniu. Not your fancy dry cleaners but they are quick and get the job done. I needed to get my new suit pants hemmed and they did a great job. Only $12.50 per pant. They had me try it on and marked where they thought should be hemmed. They have a little area to change, although I would encourage if they added carpet since the floor was on concrete and dusty. I dropped the pants off on Monday, I told them I needed it by Thursday. Picked it up Thursday morning and it was ready no issues. I don't believe they take credit card, only cash. I would recommend this place to anyone, like I said nothing fancy but they get the job done. read more

Avoid this place if you want trustworthy people who operate professionally to clean your clothes. I had this guy dry clean some new Aloha shirts for me, but when I got home found that some of them were stained with cleaning agents. Having spent a couple of decades dry cleaning my clothes, this was not totally unexpected. Every other dry cleaner I've ever gone to has immediately admitted that occasionally the machines don't remove all the chemicals, but that it is easily remedied with another cleaning. In this case however, the owner guy adamantly refused to admit he could in anyway have been responsible. I wasn't even asking him to fix it, just to please make sure it didn't happen again... and he refused! Truly crazy stuff. I even had four shirts with me that I was still considering letting him clean, but he then refused to look at them to verify that there were no stains on them, so we could verify they were cleaned properly this time. So, save yourself some time and headaches and just go with one of the local chains. This guy is ridiculous. read more
