The drive was 40 minutes. Luckily, there was a parking lot available and shade inside the plaza. Inside the store itself, there was A/C which kept us all cool. We ordered the sugar cane juices (different ones) and gelato. Gelato was very good and melts in your mouth. The sugar cane juices were so refreshing and delicious -- took a few sips and before I knew it, half was already gone. As a fan of the sugar cane juices, Sugar Daddehs Kane Juice is definitely one of the best sugar cane juices that I've had in a long time. So glad that we came across this spot; will crave this until my next visit. Would highly recommend!

I generally always include visiting teashops as part of my travel so I can be picky about what I consider a great teashop. This teashop blew me away! Brittany who owns the shop is a passionate tea person and so sweet, helped walk me through recommendations in a very honest way, she told me what I might like or not like after finding out my preferences and I ended up with delightful new teas that were super unique. The shop is heaven, fully stocked with cute tea things and super interesting teas, directly from farmers in Hawaii. If you are a tea lover or have a tea lover in your life, you have to come here. She also gave me some lovely reusable tea bags and a super cute basket to take home the goodies. Yes they have a shop in Waikiki but they have the Chocolate Factory and Wine Bar in Kailua right beside Kailua Square but the entrance is found right at the parking lot as the bright and vibrant building just draws you in especially when you're instantly greeted when you walk in and as I found that they now was a cafe right at the entrance serving up some fresh local coffee. All very new it's just coffee at the moment and not sure if they menu will be expanding but love how they use and showcase local items including Pono syrups making one lovely cup where you're offered 100% Kona coffee though went with a Kona Blend Cold Brew is nice as it's nitro blast giving it such a smooth sip as I'm not usually a coffee purists it was easy to enjoy the quality put in this cup. There aren't really tables but lots of seating options is nice to stay in a cool air conditioned shop and browse for some coffee and chocolates the service and staff here is so friendly and helpful. How sweet it is…read more.. One thing that I do love about Kailua is they're so crafty home to many biz and this Kailua Honey that we stumbled upon that we couldn't resist and who don't love honey. You know their serious about it as soon as you step into the shop though the honey is the star of the shop but you'll find anything that has to do with it as well like beeswax candle, and various merchandise. Oh honey and with flavors from Lilikoi, Pineapple, Guava, Coconut and even Hot Hawaiian infused flavors and more to choose from but what got our attention is the small refrigerator in the back that hold something that I've never seen before "Creamed Honey" a product that we fell in love with the light and delicate flavor of coconut I can see that will go well with so many of our favorite treats. It does need to be kept chilled so on this day wouldn't work since I didn't bring a cooler with me sadly but will be back for sure. All of the honey is produced and harvested either on Big Island or in Kailua. They have an intriguing selection of raw and infused flavors that really set them apart.
