I had high hopes for this place after seeing it all over social media but the matcha was so watered down and didn't taste like good quality matcha at all. It tasted like the really cheap powder that you just premix into water and don't whisk. Other than the matcha, the place is really cute but there's no designated parking stalls and it was a bit hard to find any parking nearby midday on a Friday. Personally I wouldn't recommend this place for their matcha. Not sure if the coffee is any better though but I don't think it's worth it to go back to try when there's so many other good matcha places elsewhere on the island already. read more

Stumbled upon this place by accident when attending a market in Kailua. I wasn't a big fan of the Ku Kane Cold Brew, but I think that it was just a tad bit too sweet for me. The regular cold brew was a bit better. I think I'll try other drinks from their menu next time. The ambiance is very unique with an outdoor house vibe. It's like you wandered into someone's backyard and everyone is just chilling drinking their cafe drinks in an open-air setting. There were some tables and chairs available outside under some trees and some covered area, but other than that no indoor seating. Service was quick and helpful and they bring your drinks to you while you are waiting. read more

The drinks here were pretty good! I just wish the lemonade was a bit sweeter. My friends tried the matcha and the one of the redbull drinks. Out of all of them the blue raspberry red bull drink was our favorite! Our drinks came out quickly and the outside set up is cute! read more

Holo Holo in Kailua is seriously the cutest little coffee spot. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and support local. The girls are so sweet and friendly. Always good to see a smiling face in the AM before the coffee kicks in, lol. There's also street parking nearby. My go-to is the white chocolate mac nut latte with haupia cold foam (so good). If you're in the mood for something refreshing, their Red Bull infusions are a must, my favorites are the mango berry and POG, both without cream. Probably my current favorite go to spot since I've been working in the area. 1000% worth the visit! read more

One of our top coffees as we were road tripping around the island. This spot is located in a cute little outdoor shack with some picnic tables outside. The name on Yelp might be inaccurate since it's not a "Drive-Thru", but there's street parking nearby, which wasn't hard for us to find. Coffee here is fantastic. Note that the specials are considerably pricier than the rest of the menu, but we decided to splurge and thought they were well worth it for an afternoon treat. The other coffee and tea options seem reasonably priced. I had the Honey Girl espresso special, which was a macadamia nut latte with honey drizzle, and I absolutely loved it. Smooth, well-balanced, and just the right amount of sweetness. My husband also loved his Kukane cold brew special, which includes two spots of espresso + cold brew with chocolate and macadamia nut cold foam. Again, very smooth and delicious! We'd definitely come again next time we're in the area. read more

While looking for a coffee place this morning, we drove thru a back road and happened across Holoholo. A cute green and white cart parked on a small grassy area set back off the road. The metered stalls immediately fronting and across the street were already occupied so we turned down another road and quickly found another spot to park just a few minutes walk away. There are a few picnic tables out front which were occupied by customers enjoying their drinks, and a short line of people waiting. The cute girl made quick work of not only taking orders but running drinks out to waiting customers. The hand held machine sends orders directly into the cart and processes payments, so efficient! Our drinks were ready within just a few minutes. We ordered: Americano 12 oz ($4) - perfect temp to drink immediately, no bitterness, pretty good overall Chai Latte 12 oz ($5) w/coconut milk (+$1) - perfect temp, flavor and sweetness, quite cozy and delicious! Constant flow of customers walking up to get drinks or nibbles (they have scones and banana bread too), and I noticed a container of doggie treats for their 4-legged guests. Happy to have stumbled across this cute and friendly cart, heard their Kaneohe cart is a drive thru and super busy, so they're doing something right! read more

Had a quick craving for matcha and found this near the beach we were at. Service was quick. Parking can be tricky to find. We ordered regular matcha with regular milk and mango matcha. I wasn't pleased with the regular matcha it tasted like a water down matcha sadly. The mango was a tad better. Overall it was okay. read more

When I tell you this coffee stand (drive through) it's worth the drive 30 minutes from Honolulu, it's worth the drive. You can just see the silky, creamy texture in my photo. It tasted just as luxurious. Wish I remembered what I ordered but everything we got was 10/10. Since it's a drive through only, there could be a wait. read more

If you're looking for an alternative to the chain coffee shops, Holoholo Drive Through is a great option. The coffee is solid and the service is consistently friendly. Street parking only, but we had no trouble finding a spot. Always happy to support local businesses. read more

Decided to walk over here after brunch at Cinnamon's and it wasn't busy. I tried the mango matcha and others got iced tea or cold brews. The matcha wasn't super strong but the mango puree and milk was yummy but a little on the sweeter side and hard to incorporate. The drink itself was pretty large and I got oat milk for $1 more. The iced tea flavors all sound great so I may try those in the future! There is limited seating and parking is available nearby on the streets or in the lot across the street. It seems easy to drive up to order and grab a drink if you're in the area! The girls working were really friendly and it was really fast! read more

Holoholo on down... To Kailua to this gem on Maluniu Street but don't blink or you'll miss this cute little green trailer serving up some refreshing crafted drinks. So excited after a good drive from town on this hot summer day that I was so ready for a sip and after scanning over their huge menu offerings of various coffee and teas it was their Lotus Energy drink and what is it....? Lotus is a healthier plant based energy drink and what an option to have such choices. Service here is just a delight as the staff walked up to us as our indecisiveness took over and answered all our questions making it an easy decision for me it was the "Pretty in Pink" a Watermelon and Lemon Lotus drink that was a bit tart but exactly what I needed and though it came in a huge cup I did sipped it all up. The vibe here is just nice and relaxing and is why I love the drive to Kailua, lots of street parking and easy to access making it the perfect place to escape. Thank you! read more

I was having brunch next door and didn't realize that there was another Holo Holo truck in Kailua! We were able to find street parking right outside the truck on a Sunday. I ordered the lilikoi iced tea, which was only $2! I feel like you can never find drinks that are that cheap nowadays. The tea had a nice fruitiness to it. Stopped by here with a friend yesterday around 10 am (on a Tuesday). The new location on Maluniu is no longer drive thru which makes it slightly less convenient. There's street parking (not a ton) but you'll have to walk up and order. Nevertheless, we were greeted with a friendly smile as soon as we walked up to the shop. There's a few tables outside if you'd like to enjoy your coffee there. Not a lot of shade though. I had the iced white mocha latte, which was recommended by staff. He also suggested I could order it half sweet, which ended up being perfect. Subbed it with oat milk. Drinks were good! My friend had her latte with regular sweetness which was a noticeable difference in sweetness levels. Also felt great to support local! These locations are slightly out of the way for me but will definitely make it a point to stop by when I'm in the area. Hoping they'll find a spot for easy drive thru access! read more

So, I picked up lunch from waimanalo poke shop and stupid me, forgot a drink. I needed to wash down my lunch and was lazy for get out the car, and how perfect was this holoholo drive thru espresso!!! It's a cute drive thru. As you drive up, right in front, get the big readable board menus and the girl who takes your order and collect payment. They have a variety of drinks from cold brews, to espresso's, latte's, redbull infusions, lotus energy, and they have a little keiki menu and a small bucket of dog treats and lollipops. Love how they don't leave the babies out, 2 or 4 legged. Any way, I ordered the iced matcha latte and she goes would you like any flavor? Lol I said I don't know, no. I looked at the flavor list and don't know what flavor to add assuming the drink already going have a nice sweet matcha flavor. But I was wrong. Next time I'll add flavor. Any way, go check them out if you stay in Nalo. They stay in the same vicinity as Jack in the box, ohanas, next to hele gas station. Cute, convenient, espresso drive thru. read more

Finally got to try this place after seeing it on social media for a few months now! Made the trip out to Kailua & it was worth it. I tried the strawberry matcha latte & it was delicious. My total came out to about $10 with a switch of whole milk to oat milk. A little pricey but still delicious & it was a good size. Service was quick & the truck itself was very cute. Will definitely be back to try other drinks very soon! read more

I ordered an iced 16oz white chocolate peppermint mocha with whole milk. It was pretty good and fairly priced. The drink cost less than $7, and I made sure to tip the baristas. The customer service is what bumped my experience to 5 stars. The employees are very friendly! They know their regulars well, but are also quick to welcome newer customers. Got their iced mocha. While it wasn't something to write home about, it got me awake for the drive ahead and hit the craving for coffee. Drive thru style around a shack, with what looked like the option to get out of your car, walk up, order, and sit at the bench. Service was relatively quick, but because it isn't like a structured drive thru, it's a lot of wondering if you should pull up to accommodate other customers while waiting, or just sit still. Doesn't look like they take too many orders at a time though, so it's probably safe to assume you'd be okay with either! read more

I really loved how their drive through was. The menu had lots of options and I'm excited to try the other items. This time I only got an iced tea. I wanted an iced matcha latte but I couldn't justify the price epically with an alternative milk ($1 extra charge). That would make the matcha about $10 and it seems really steep. I will try one next time. This time I got an iced mango peach tea. Half sweet. And it was good, perfectly sweet for me and good flavor. Good price, being $3. Overall I would return again. read more

Super cute little coffee stand off the side of the road. I got their mango matcha and my friend got their strawberry matcha. It was a little too sweet for my liking and the matcha flavor wasn't super strong but I enjoyed the drink nonetheless. Pretty big drink too compared to some other places. Super friendly staff and they have some tables you can enjoy your drinks on. They made our drinks super fast too. They have a few stalls next to them or street parking in front. read more

I've actually never been here myself. But my husband goes religiously for me when he's working. Absolutely love their red bull infusions, white peach is my favorite. POG has to be my second favorite. Their matcha is amazing also, and love the layered matcha too. I just recently tried their lotus energy and that was also very tasty. We tried the guava mango strawberry one. You have to go, if you haven't already. You won't regret it. read more

If I'm looking to treat myself, Holoholo is where I go to. Other than big coffee chains, this is one of the only local coffee shops that does drive thru and it's so convenient! The service is so friendly and you don't even need to get out of your car -- what more can you ask for? Great coffee? Check. Great matcha? Check. Energy drink infusions! You betcha! What I crave from here is their cold foam! From macadamia, lavender, or coconut cold foam. It's the perfect thing to top any drink! These drinks will get you BUZZING. If you really need energy for the day, this is where you go. Their Queen and King drinks come with cold brew AND a double shot of espresso (topped with cold foam of course). For me, I'm going to get either their strawberry or mango matcha. These drinks get the caffeine buzz going too! Pro tip: be sure to mix your matcha well before drinking. It looks super pretty layered but you're gonna wanna mix all those flavors together. read more

I wanted some caffeine around 1:30 PM on a Sunday, and looked this place up. It took a long time for me to find it, as both the pin on Yelp and Google maps took me to a construction site - don't worry, I fixed both. Anyway, the new location doesn't have much parking and it's not a drive thru exactly, lol. I parked at the business parking for a few minutes. I think you just kind of have to pull your car over and hope you don't piss anyone off. Manu was on these large chalkboards, and a friendly barista helped me. I opted for the large Lilikoi ice tea, which was just $3.66 after tax. Soo cheap. The drinks are rather affordable, and they have a good selection of match, lattes, fun drinks as well. On a nice day, the outdoor picnic tables will be great. read more

It was my first time ordering from Holoholo. I ordered a Mac Nut Cold Brew with Oatmilk. It was 'ono. The Peach Mango Iced Tea was also good. We ordered a Mamaki tea and I was shocked at the color, it looked like water and tasted like it too. I asked for a refund but, they don't offer refunds.. The lady taking our order was so nice and offered to give me something else so I got a Hapa Lemonade with Peach Mango tea. Besides the "Mamaki tea" everything was good and the service was great. read more

Saw this cute Drive Thru when driving by and thought to try it. I love trying new cafes and coffee places. I tried the Ocean Mist Lotus Energy with Cream and it was delicious and refreshing. Service wast fast. The coffee was on the bitter side. The roast tasted a little burnt. Good tho. Just off. The baristas didn't seem to describe the drinks well when we asked what they recommended or what things tasted like. We will come back and try their red-bull drinks next time. I'm always down to try a new matcha spot. So I made my way to Kailua and did the drive thru. Service was great. Very friendly! It's a small spot but it works! They were quick! I was in and out. There were a few people ahead and behind me but I didn't wait long. I would try other drinks again. I had the layered matcha with strawberry. I just had it with regular milk. I liked the taste of it. Spontaneous coffee trip. Service was quick and wasn't feel rushed despite getting there 5 minutes before closing. The drink was so delicious. One of the best strawberry matcha's I've ever tasted. Creamy and enough sweetness. The outdoor shop is really cute. Outdoor seating is available if you don't have a car or don't feel like driving. We also got an iced mocha and guava lemonade. I end up paying only a little over six dollars for sixteen ounces of tea with boba and cheese foam, which is amazing in this economy. As far as I know there is only one girl that works here, but she's very quick and always gets orders exactly perfect. Despite not being very talkative, she's friendly in her own way. She never minds if my friends and I move the tables around or loiter for a while and the last time we were in there to celebrate school letting out for summer she offered to take our photo.
