I've found my appliance repair person for life! From the very first call, I experienced excellent customer service. They are exceptionally punctual, responsive, fair, and reliable. My built-in refrigerator decided to take a dive and everything started to quickly defrost. I was very nervous after looking at the cost and inconvenience of getting a new built-in refrigerator. I called A&A, the lady was very helpful and said she could get someone out quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to meet Dave. He is knowledgeable and very nice. My sister recommended this company to me as they had done excellent work for her. I had Dave come and check out my dryer cause it seemed to not dry completely I had previously cleaned out the vent and the dryer duct. He checked out everything and determined that there is nothing wrong. I've had some enduring problems with a built-in refrigerator-freezer we inherited as part of buying this home. After several awkward but sincere efforts on the part of our home warranty service people, I called A&A. Dave walked in, without opening anything, explained what the possible problems were, what the costs associated with each attempted repair, and offered some guidance about communicating with my home warranty representative. Short version: home warranty people called me (already a month w/out a refrigerator), I explained what happened with each of the service rep's and asked to hire my own "more-experienced" service tech. The guy instantly agreed, gave me his desk number so Dave could call him after the diagnosis. Dave comes back out, in 5 minutes, figured out what's wrong, calls the home warranty guy: who instantly authorized the complete repair at Dave's quote. Boom. 30 minutes later: Repair done. Couple hours later, the box is as cold as you'd ever want. Pro-tip here: Because Dave is so good, you may have to get in line for his services. In other words, although our needs are "urgent" for us, so it seems it is for all the people who called before us. We've had him out for some other appliances (microwave, oven, consulted with us on our stovetop), and he's seen it all, probably fixed it all. I am very disappointed with this company! They told me they would be here between 4 and 6. I left work early to get here. Found a note on the door that he was here at 4:20. I got home at 4:20! They didn't even call me ahead of time to tell me when they would be here. They have a two hour window....They should have called! When I called I got scolded by their office person. I felt like I was being scolded by my mother because I didn't understand her the first time she was explaining pricing to me... darn! If you need a household appliance serviced, give David at A & A Appliance Service a call! When my oven wouldn't heat, I asked a neighbor who do you even call when an appliance fails?... An electrician? No, he said, "you call David from A & A Appliance Service". I called and was able to set an appointment the next day, with a four hour window. The office called me on the appointment day to confirm and let me know David would be there within the hour. David showed up on time and was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. After a few tests, he identified the problem as the igniter. He was very clear and fair on pricing and was able to fix the problem right way. He even had the part in his truck. How great is that? Additionally, he even helped me with a missing oven temperature dial which has been a bit of a pain to use. I jokingly asked him if he had a dial in his truck. He laughed and said no, but then he moved a knob from something I never use to the missing oven dial. Brilliant! Why didn't I think of that, lol? Well this time around i broke my dryer, note to anyone who owns a front load dryer never manually turn the dryer tub by hand, it may cause the dryer belt to come off the pully, which is what i did the other day because i was in a hurry and too lazy to take the clothes out of the dryer. Luckily i knew Dave at A&A Appliance was still around and lucky for me with little notice they were able to come out today being the friday before the labor day weekend was great. Again dave repaired my dryer within half n hour and i was good to go and drying again. His wife who works the office, was very friendly and very accommodating to the time i needed. My washer was not draining and so on the advice of my father in law,I called A&A...I was very happy that they could come out the next day(today) and look at my Samsung washer. Dave arrived in the time frame I was given and got to work right away...after looking at the washer for a bit,I got the best case and worst case scenario and an estimate for each case. Both prices were extremely reasonable and I feel that Dave did a great job explaining everything he needed to do! Turns out it was the easier of the two scenarios so I was really happy...washer is working great and the great customer service was a bonus! The technician was efficient, on-time, clean, polite and very helpful. He did not charge me for parts I did not need but fixed the problem. I had a poorly installed dishwasher that ended up causing me drainage problems two years into ownership. The technician did not charge me for a pump, although he probably could have because I wouldn't have known the difference, but he fixed the installation problem and my dishwasher is as good as new. I received excellent customer service from A&A last week when my dryer was making a funny noise. As a family of four with two young boys, we use our washer and dryer frequently, so having our dryer out of commission would have been a huge headache for me. Thankfully, Dave was able to come out the next day. Whew! Not only was he super professional, but he figured out the problem right away. My son, apparently, had left a magnet in one of his pockets and it had fallen out and gotten caught behind the dryer drum, making a loud, scratchy-sounding noise. My KitchenAid microwave (in combo unit with oven) stopped heating. Google and YouTube research indicated the Magnetron needs replacement. I usually fix my own stuff when possible so I ordered the part online ($217). Once the part arrived I got the oven/microwave combo out of the wall cabinet and took off top cover. I decided that this was not a job I am comfortable with since I couldn't find YouTube or printed instructions for my specific unit. I called A&A and was told their policy is not to install a part a customer purchases because if the part doesn't work they would have to charge me for another part. So what? Charge me for whatever you have to do to get your customer up and running. I think that is a bad policy and hopefully not just a reason to sell parts at a high markup. read more

I was so happy to find two five star reviews when I called A&A. I was referred to A&A by my plumber but I was disappointed that they could not diagnose the problem. He was not sure if it was the solenoid valve and recommended against it because it might not be the problem and it would cost even more money and might not solve the problem. I did appreciate he was trying to save me money and avoid an extra service that was not needed. To save money by not replacing the valve he recommended that I turn off the water at the source each time I finished using the washing machine.However three months later my washing machine is still overflowing. However when I was away for a few days with the water off at the source I came home to a flooded laundry room. It cost $80.00 to balance my my washing machine and it only lasted two months, which unfortunately was past the 30 day warranty. It was not money well spent for me. I was super disappointed. I was not as happy to find A&A as Lewis and Alex. If you don't know exactly what is wrong with your machine it may be a waste of money to have them come out. read more

Called A & A mid-morning today regarding a problem with my refrigerator. I was initially told that they were booked for the day, but once I explained that I was leaving town for business they worked out a way to get to my house. Dave quickly identified the problem and had the part needed on his truck and was able to get me up and running.
