My go-to gas station. Five stars even though it's not the cleanest, but it's definitely the cheapest! Even cheaper if you pay cash, but even with the credit card price it is consistently the cheapest in the area. I live near Cupertino, but I often go to Millbrae BART and make a point to get gas at A&A since the prices are so good. Very busy at this station. During post-work rush hour you may have to wait a minute or two to get a pump. Store is moderately sized and has plenty of food and drinks in stock. I think the hours on Yelp are wrong. The creepy cashier saw we were pumping gas and wanted to leave 20 minutes early so he shut the pumps off with no warning. They do not like Americans here. There is nothing to complain about the facility. But their DELIVERY GUY was so rude and bad behavior. He parked his truck over all the parking spots. I made a stop behind his truck after finished filling the gas. He walked to my car and yelled at me he said: " TURN THE CAR OFF IT IS STINKY". It's rare you'll find me writing a review for a gas station, of all things, but I have to give this place props. Their prices usually match that of Costco (or only a few cents more), but they don't have nearly the lines Costco has, if at all, and the quality of gas is much better. So, you say "gas is gas is gas"...?? Nope. I put Costco gas into my Prius and when I drive up hills the engine makes a grating sound. This is frequently common with cheap gasoline. But the low-priced gas from A & A? No grating at all, smooth ride. And I'm talking about regular 87 octane -- this isn't a matter of needing to use Premium, folks, this is simply better gas than Costco's, at least in my car. And you'll notice that they have a Cash & Credit pricing structure. At first, you might think THERE's the catch -- well, if you must use credit then, yes, you will pay usually $0.05 more (which actually still is a pretty decent price) -- but here's where it gets good: whereas other stations charge that extra nickel per gallon also for using debit, or you have Arco with their $0.35 debit fee, A & A does NOT charge extra for debit. So if that's an option, it's pretty win-win. They have nice guys at the counter, a good selection of unique snacks & drinks -- and, even a bathroom, something that seems to be uncommon these days and is helpful to full-time drivers. Best prices around and that is surprising for the City of Burlingame. Obviously that is not the problem here. Someone put a credit card/debit card reader on one of their pumps. These a $$h|¿$ cleaned me for $980. I don't believe it was anything or anyone to do with this facility as when I advised the manager he put his head in hands and said "You too, huh??". He was also very apologetic but that doesn't negate the fact my banking institution had to do a fraud investigation and send me a new debit card. Since it's the weekend I won't be able to receive it until the following Tuesday. The managers should have better control over their pumps as not to let this happen. Be forewarned. read more

these people are rip-off artists. they may have cheap gas [cheap gas does NOT equate to good gas] but nothing else is cheap. I ran out of gas last week and needed a container to put gas in. Are you ready for this? $16.00 later I got a cheap little red container that held NO MORE than 2 gallons of gas. PLUS their logo is copied from the American Airlines logo. Wonder how American Airlines would like that?? The reason why this station is only getting three stars for me is because it advertises $2.75 for cash and $2.85 for credit and that's per gallon. Are used my debit card entered my pin number and still got charged $2.85 per gallon. As far as I can remember debit is as good as cash when you use your pin number. Like purchasing a lotto ticket, as long as you use debit and enter your pin number it's considered a cash sale therefore you can purchase a lotto ticket. So if any of you go to A&A Gas on Broadway & California make sure you bring green back because that's what they want greenback. I had to use the bathroom while gassing up. The toilet looked like it had been plugged up for days with toilet paper and feces. There was feces on the wall and on the ground. I filled my car up and when I took the pump out of my car the gallons and cost keep racking up on the pump. I wanted the attendant to see it happening so I pushed the "help" button-no response. I beeped my horn repeatedly hoping he would look over-no response. I kept pushing the "help" button, but no one came. My phone was not within easy reach to take a video of the gallons and cost spinning by. I finally had to put the pump handle back and of course, the charges stopped. I went into the store and was treated like a con artist. The manager said no refunds, no credit. He insisted he did not have a number for who was responsible for pump maintenance. I asked him, "So if you have a pump break or malfunction you have no one you can call?" He said "They just come out and fix it", but he couldn't tell me who..."Only the manager would know that and he's not here." I asked him to please call the manager and get me the number so I could call them myself. That request seemed to annoy him, but he did call the manager. The manager wasn't able to help-no name of a company or number was given to me. The 800 number on the pump was not able to help me. I told him I'd wait and see if the next few customers had any difficulty. While waiting, 3 other customers at different pumps had pump issues, but different from mine. They were all men and no one was dismissed-their problems were solved by the attendant. Two men got refunds back onto their cards. I was simply ignored. He refused to believe me and was quite dismissive, no refund, no apology, no sense of interest at all. In all I paid probably close to $15.00 extra for gas I didn't need or get. I will not return to this station nor shall any of the 3 other drivers in our home. read more

Started coming to this place regularly after my friend found it on her phone app as one of the cheapest stations about 2-3 months ago. The guy at the counter is very friendly and the price on the gas is always easy on my wallet. They charge less (about 4-5 cents/gallon) if you pay cash, so I always use that option. I always take gas there since they been around as A&A. I have even recommended them to my friends and family...Last Thursday, I dropped by to fill the tank. My tank takes more than $75.00 gas as they cut you off at $75.00. So, usually I go in and hand the card to the cashier. I did the same thing this time only forgot to take it back as I left. A day later I noticed I do not have my card and called them. The cashier said he was busy and to come on by. A few days later I went there and they could not find my Visa card. I told him it must be there and asked to talk to the manager. He said the manager and owner go over there once in a while and took my number and of course no one has called me. I checked with my Visa card company and they did say the two transactions at A&A were the last two (2) transactions on that card. Two transactions??, yes, one for the gas at $89.00 plus some change and one at $300.00. So, I immediately cancelled my card despite all of the trouble I would have with many auto payments and disputed the charge. I asked the card company what would happen and was told the amount is to small for them to go after them. So, all I am saying why a gas station would do that. It is true they are cheaper, but, this is bad and I will pay more to take gas elsewhere. They lost several customers with this fraud scheme.
