My absolute favorite nail salon. The staff are friendly and don't rush you through the appointment. Between the extra time they spend massaging your legs and feet and the fantastic massage chairs, I always leave feeling relaxed. Ummm..most awkward pedicure experience ever! Had a 1:30 appt on a Tuesday, they were running late and then the gal took over an hour for just a pedicure. She kept talking and talking, trying to upsell me on different pedicures. It was uncomfortable and finally had to ask her to just paint my nails so I could go. I went in yesterday for gel nails and just a change of the toe polish. The ladies who worked there were very nice and the lady working on my nails did a good job on my polish. The only negative was I told her to be extra careful on my toe, since I recently had surgery on it, and she kind of did her thing with little concern. I booked a last minute, Friday afternoon appointment at A & A Nails & Spa back in early May of this year. I went in for a mani/pedi in preparation for singing in a friend's wedding that weekend. Tweety had an opening in her schedule and fit me right in. It was hands-down (no pun intended) the best mani/pedi I have ever received. Not only did my nails look great, but Tweety gave me the best foot and calf massage with the pedi and most amazing hand and forearm massage that I have ever received. Where do i start, A & A is so clean. Usually when i go to other nails salon its really dirty but this one is clean and kinda fancy. And this worker named tammy is so amazing. She did such a good job on my nails and eyebrows. Also they take walk in but not just that they make you feel at home. They take their time but they do it well and quickly. I dont know who they do it. My point is if you want to just be pamper for a day or just having a nice relax day or anything go to A&A and ask for tammy...... While my pedicure was OK, I found this place to be pretty dirty- floors and carpet stained with hair on it. They also rush through so many customers and don't really seem to clean in between. I wondered if the young woman doing my nails was actually licensed? They say they offer waxing, too, but did not really see a place for it, which made me think they are not licensed for this, too. read more

I went to A&A last week for a mani/pedi before a wedding that I was in. I called ahead, and asked to see Tammy (per some of the previous yelp reviews). I also made sure to specifically verify that they had shellac at the salon (note: Shellac is made by CND....NOT gelish or any other gel manicure). My nails are thin and chip easily, so I am pretty fanatical about using Shellac as it paints on thing and comes off a lot easier than other UV-light-cured manicures. So yes..."of course we have shellac" was my answer. Well, No..they don't. Since I was leaving for the wedding and didn't have time to reschedule anyplace else, I went with it. Tammy was actually very nice, and apologized because she didn't realize there was a difference between gels (which, if you're a nail tech, you should know..but whatever). She used Gelish, which came out very thick which made the nails look a little fat. The hand massage was nice-- a little rough, and I'm fair, so I bruised..but that was my fault for not speaking up. The pedicure: Tammy picked a nice pink color. She put it on my nails, and then used a small brush to take it off where it got smeared on the skin around the nail. I feel like I could do that at home and she should have been a little neater with it. Then I had to sit there. And air dry. For a while. There are no drying fans in the place. And that entire experience cost me $58. without a tip. The friend I was with paid close to $40 for a regular mani/pedi. This is natick...next to a consignment store..not Newbury st. I felt like it was a little pricey. I won't be going there again. read more

Im getting my pedi right now and even before she finishes with the polish I love this place. The pedi I dominated by two rounds of massage. The women who work here actually talk to you and ask you questions but make the experience very pleasurable. This is my new mani pedi spot. Prices were very reasonable. Was able to walk-in and be taken right away. Pedicure was solid. It is nice to go to a place that actually does a foot/leg rub as part of the pedi!! I just moved to Natick, and wanted something close for gel manicure and pedicure. A & A nails was OUTSTANDING!! I was a walk- in on a Sat. afternoon, and I didn't have to wait. They were friendly and the massage for the pedicure was AMAZING, with more than 10 minutes per leg AND warm lotion!! I will definitely be a regular. Price was great. I just moved here and went off reviews for this place . I needed a pedicure For a wedding and went here. Here is why my rating is low . This place was not clean towels that had stains on them. The pumic stone they used had a brown hair embedded in it. The area smelt like food. I didn't see any sanitary tools or a disinfected box. The overall service was quick they did a good massage and my pedicure was good. The reviews about getting the feeling your in an upscale spa is so far off. I probably will not go back. read more

Just tried this place for the first time and got a GREAT pedicure. I decided to try them out because so many Yelpers mentioned the massage and I was not disappointed! The massage was amazing and went on forever. Seriously, I am almost too blissed out right now to write this review. Worst place I have ever been to. The girls that work there are extremely rude and speak about you in a vietnamese and its extremely obvious. The girl who did my pedicure kept on sighing because I had gel on my toes. She kept saying "ugh this is going to take so long to take off". Im sorry? But, you work at a nail salon...that is YOUR JOB to take it off. Then at the end of the service the total was supposed to be $35.00 for a polish change and pedicure and she asked me for $40.00. My coworkers recommended this place and I am so glad they did! I called to make a pedicure appointment and had to push the time back on the day of - Tammy was very friendly about it. I asked for a spa pedicure and it was heavenly. She does a very strong foot and calf massage and I had to ask her to go a little lighter, but she did so immediately and then it felt so good. It was so much better than other places that just basically stroke your feet for the "massage." The polish job was also neat and fast, and still looks good. Several people walked in or called while I was there, and Tammy was polite about letting them know they were too busy to handle them, which is a good sign! I have been getting my nails done for 12 years and I have never had a pedicure like the one I get from TAMI. They are the same price as most all salons which shocked me because you are getting a 45 min to an hour pedicure. Talk about customer service, she gives you an over the top leg and foot massage that will make you never want to go to anyone else again, and she is so sweet! These guys were great! I went in for a spa pedicure and it was heavenly. They took their time, particularly with the leg rub, and did an outstanding job on my nails. I have never felt welcomed or pampered at A&A. It always disgusts me to see other customers' nail droppings on the carpet before I take the pedi chair. The towels they use look old and ratty. If you go, call for an appointment and ask for Lisa. She is a goddess. The attention she gave to my leg massage alone was worth it, but the woman was a damn perfectionist when it came to the cutting of my nails and the application of polish. If you are one who enjoys the little embellishments on the toes (I am the first to say yes!) she did a simple but gorgeously detailed flower on my big toes. New to the area, my daughter and I have been in search of a nail salon that can compare to our favorite back in the DC area. A&A is not it. The amazing foot massages mentioned in other reviews that prompted me to make an appointment here are nothing more than repetitive rubbing that quickly became quite annoying. The instruments were not individually packaged for each client- they were not even sterilized- just simply washed off in the sink and used again. Polish was applied unevenly and because it was a dark color, streaks were clearly visible. Atmosphere is unremarkable- space is rundown, but appeared clean. Our search will continue... read more
