This place is actually part of the VW Dealership through some type of partnership. You check in/drop-off at their office next to the VW car lot. In my case, my car was driven over to the VW Dealership service area for the actual smog. 2. Prices were incredibly reasonable. $40 out the door for a smog! Total time was about an hour (in and out) 3. It is best to call ahead just to make sure someone is ready for you at the front desk. If they are not expecting you, the check-in office might be empty and you'll need to call them at the phone number listed on the door. 4. My car got washed after the smog check. I'm pretty sure this was a mistake, but WOW - what an unexpected surprise.

This one is as closer to an hour. They did have the best price at $29.95 + $8.25 for a total of thirty-eight dollars and twenty cents.

Not even close to 40,000 miles on the transmission rebuilt and I already had a check engine light come on saying my torque converter clutch(internal issue) is out. Took it back Walter and they could only do so much with their code reader. He quoted me cheaper to get the transmission rebuilt AGAIN and I asked him why am I being charged and that it is too early for the transmission to go out. His response was "i only order and install the parts. I can only do so much" Decided to take my care else where Had a failed auto transmission on my 06 Acura TL and was referred here by Honda Anderson. Walter and his team definitely knows how to take care of their customers and his work is 10000% great! He is not like other mechanics that will rob you for your money. This guy makes sure your car is running smooth whether it's a failed transmission or something wrong with your car. His work is impeccable and amazing! He is very friendly and gives you the best price quote for whatever work that needs to be done. My car is running 3 years strong with a brand new transmission thanks to Walter, Jose, & Primo. Took it to one transmission shop they said the transmission was shot and needed to be replaced/rebuilt. We're talking serious money here - THOUSANDS of dollars. So looking for a second opinion, I took the car to Perform Transmission. Mr. Do was nice enough to take my car the same day and let me know what he would recommend. Later that same day, he found a broken solenoid that controls transmission shifting, and he could fix (~$250) it vs buying a replacement/new solenoid (~$700.). picked up the car the next morning - it's running flawlessly. Total cost was only a couple of hundred dollars. What a difference from the Thousands I was quoted earlier! Mr. Do is truly the "transmission whisperer". I call him the "magic man". Can't recommend his shop enough.

In addition to changing my oil, they did a detailed overall inspection, which included a battery stress test, engine, brakes, and undercarriage. The full report, which included photos, was emailed to me and I was impressed by how comprehensive it was. If you just need an oil change and can do the minor maintenance and inspections yourself, then it will be a bit pricy at this shop (~$170). However, if you want someone else to do all that, it would be cheaper than a dealership.

I went back to the shop 3 times over the course of ~9 months, each time discovering some issues and replacing the pad/disk (this is where i felt good about the shop, everyone welcomed me back and did the diagnose and replacement for free). I end up relacing the two front pad/disk with another brand (zimmerman? that's what i heard) and resolved all issues. Maybe I just got unlucky, but I have to leave my honest and true experience which exhausts me over the last year (imagine every time you back out of your garage and hearing this "click" sound from your brake system, with a baby in a car. You natually worries about your safety).
