I came here before a pre-wedding Photoshoot and wanted to ensure my hands/nails looked their best so I ended up getting a mens manicure. I'm getting married in May and my fiancé and I are doing pictures for the wedding that we are going to place around the tables. This place is nice and under management. They are having a grand opening with a special promotion of 30% for the whole month! They offered me a drink of coke or sprite but my manicurist Vanessa told me they will be serving wine/champagne to celebrate their grand opening under new management and rebranding for the whole month of May with a special 30% off services. The inside looks very nice with good lighting and friendly staff. I got a manicure that included a quick hand massage and hot towel. The staff her is very efficient and the place has great decor with manicure and pedicure stations. It looks very modern and pleasing to the eye. I noticed it does not have a harsh chemical smell and is very clean/neat inside. Definitely recommend you check out this place if you're in the area or looking for a nail/foot spot. She is rather short, younger, with a wedding ring on (bless her husband. ) Unfortunately, she was very rude with a seeming lack of respect for myself and my wife. (idk what all of these things are) having the wrong color put on her nails initially, and having been spoken to very rudely during the majority of the appointment. Meh. This is not the most clean spot. The desks for nails are pretty dusty and gross. This was my second time there even though I live right around the corner I drive further. The nail technician was very nice but the overall quality of the job done was subpar. The acrylic was very thick and uneven. It looked like amateurish. She had a regular customer waiting next to us and towards the end seemed anxious to get me out of the chair. While the salon did not appear dirty, it was a bit on the dusty side and they didn't have paper towels for clients to use but instead had one towel for everyone to wipe up after washing their hands. This is not hygienic under normal circumstances much less in the midst of a public health emergency. Finally, the price was way too much for the services I received. This is not a high end salon but their prices are are. I would not go back or recommend. Also, reading the owner response to some other reviews below, he is saying you have to tell them if you want a good or perfect job done so unless you specifically say you want a good job then you get what you get and it is your fault, I guess. read more

I am so disappointed. I have been to the salon more than four times and was actually pretty happy there for a minute, until today I can't use the excuse. It was a different technician because it's the same one I've been using. I went in for a gel fill and a polish change on my toes. The first problem, she was using regular acrylic to fill in my gel nails. I told her that that was incorrect. I have gel nails. Why would I want regular acrylic on top of them. She said that's the way they do it, and then they put a coat of gel polish on top. I have never heard of anything so silly and all my life . I was kind of offended that she was insulting my intelligence, but I tried to get past it then moving on I needed my toes painted no pedicure just my polish. She gets finished polishing my toes and the color doesn't even match my fingers. . I said whoa wait a minute. I'm not going around with mismatch toes and fingernails. I said where is the polish you used for my fingers. She said oh that's $30. To paint 10 toes. Let me get this straight for 10 more dollars I could've got a whole pedicure. And then on top of that if she's charging three dollars a toe for polish, she could buy two whole bottles of brand new gel polish just painting my 10 toes. I told her forget it don't put any polish on my toes. I am definitely not here for it. It was insulting. It was crazy , I felt like they tried to get over on me for the money. There's no other obvious reason why you're using regular acrylic to fill my gel nails and charging me $30 to paint my toenails without a pedicure and I thought it was really poor judgment on her behalf because my family goes there as well. This is my go-to nail salon! I've tried a fair amount of nail salons and this is by far my favorite. I usually get acrylics and they've always done an amazing job! I'm always satisfied with how my nails look and if I'm not, they're always very accommodating and willing to fix it. I've accidentally messed up my nails multiple times while there and they've always been patient with me and have fixed it for me, no questions asked. I also used to have eyelash extensions done here (when they offered it for $35) and I loved them! They looked gorgeous and lasted for a couple to few weeks. Granted I came here for a last minute gel manicure, the whole experience left much to be desired. My cuticles were pushed back so roughly that they separated from the nailbed and were sore for the rest of the week. Polish was uneven on the sides of all the fingers and there was excess on the actual finger. This lead to peeling from the sides as the nail polish came off my actual skin. The actual polish started peeling from the bottom starting day 2 and after just 1 week they looked horrendous. They peeled so badly after a few days that my hair would get caught in them instantly if I ran my fingers through it. I've never had such a bad gel manicure. I'm not sure if it's because I was a walk in or if the manicurist just didn't do an adequate job. Will not return. read more

I've gotten gel pedicures regularly for the past 8 years and I've never hated my pedicure so much. The tech not only cut me twice with the drill but did the worst acrylic lay I've ever seen. She put the powder and the paint directly over my cuticle did not shape the nail to look natural what so ever. It was not even nor smoothI have a huge air bubble on one of my toes. Like layers of dust on top of surfaces, lights, fans--nail clippings all over the floor, and I even saw a bug (I think it was a silverfish) in the sink when I went to wash my hands. I decided to give this salon a second chance, as they're within walking distance to my home. I went in saying my nails would likely need a new full set versus a fill. The nail technician told me they were fine so she'd fix them. After buzzing at them for 20 minutes, she said it would be better to do a full set. Ugh. The entire process took almost 1 hour and 40 minutes, and this was for gel French tips. This time frame doesn't even include sitting for 15 minutes for them to dry. Even when I have them painted and sit to dry, I'm looking at 1 hour tops. It was a long drawn out period. One week in and six nails are already lifting. I'll try to attach photos. read more

I've been visiting this place for the past two years, and they are always professional and polite. The manicures and pedicures I've gotten from here, have always gotten compliments from people so I can't complain. It's a nice little escape and feels quite like a smaller scale spa (although yes it's not *that* extravagant) A calming ambiance is what I prefer when I get pedicures and that's what I get here. It's never too hectic or noisy. They even accommodated me when I walked in at 6:40 and they close at 7pm. Do note there is a small discount if you pay by cash. I picked a color, on the red side for the holidays, and as she started with my pedicure, she saw the color I chose and suggested another one close to it if I was interested. My boyfriend and I went here on July 19,2013 and we enjoyed it. We had one hour to get pedicures before we had to head to DCA for our flight. They did an excellent job, got me a lip wax, and polished removed form my fingers in record timing. But they do not accept all forms of payment. Every time I come their payment machines are either broken or they give you hell when you want to tip on your card. Well I've been coming here since 2013 never had any problems but last Sunday will be my last time spending money here. My nails were done horribly one hand was significantly longer than the other 3 nails broke within one day (final count: 4 broken) The woman that I went to also waxed my face without my consent I asked for lip, eyebrow, and chin she tried to convince me my face was too hairy not to wax the rest of it and proceeded to spread wax along my lower cheekbone stopping at my ear. Unfortunately I paid and left without making a stink but it not sitting right with me I called to see if I could be accommodated for any of my grievances and was told that I could come back and have someone new do my nails Friday well today is Friday and my nails aren't redone they didn't even write down my appointment (also asked for me to wait an hr to come back to have the same woman who butchered my nails redo only three) and told me they would only fix the broken ones for free when it's clear all my nails needed to be redone and they never even apologized for the waxing mishap or refunded me for stupidly paying for a service I didn't ask for I actually specifically asked for her not to because it breaks me out so badly so my face is broken out and my nails look atrocious and I'm out $132 with no remorse on their end I'm very disappointed and caution anyone to stand your ground if you have a bad experience. read more
