Triple A customer, left my lights on and called AAA. They sent the dispatch to these guys. A guy called with wrong location. I corrected him and even went out to meet him to make sure he could find me. Dude was completely unprofessional the whole time. I realized you cant get in the car since the battery is dead you can hit the alarm. Because I never put the key in the door the lock seized up(this happened before and AAA had to come out to get it open) dude used an airbag thing, ripped my weather stripping and pulled off some of door panel (on the inside) and grabbed the handle and asked why the door not opening. Seemed pretty obvious but I reminded him the battery is dead and the door is locked. He said but I grabbed the handle it should unlock. I told him some cars do but not on this truck or doesnt work that way. Dude basically threw his hands up mumbled something about dispatch and took off without another word. I called AAA back and he closed the call that I had refused service. I would never do business with a company that uses such unprofessional drivers. I made a complaint with AAA and once the new driver gets here I will see if I am able to fix the damage he did. If not I will be putting in a damage claim. read more

5:40 AM on the side of the freeway, broke down, with my 2 year old grandson in the backseat. Ordered a tow truck through AAA and received a call within minutes from Carlos from A & B towing. Just had to tow my car today since my car was acting up so badly it was unsafe to drive. They were very professional and efficient, and the tow driver was very nice and friendly so he was very pleasant to talk to. I think the rate was very reasonable. I was charged $65 for hooking up the car and $5/each mile. Thankfully I didn't have to tow it for so many miles so I could get it done with less than $100. Towing your car is never really fun but they made it so much better. read more

AAA sent Jonathan from A & B towing to flatbed tow my car from a parking structure approximately 40 miles away to an auto center in my town last night. A & B sent a text to notify me of ETA. Shortly, Jonathan called me to announce his ETA and clarify my location and automotive situation. Not only did he arrive on time, John arrived 15 minutes ahead of AAA's scheduled time. He is an excellent conversationalist and made the ride to town enjoyable. Once at the auto center, Jonathan secured a repair ticket and his clipboard & pen for me to use & ran back to the drop-box with my keys & ticket. He was so patient, professional, kind, and efficient. Great service and a VERY quick response. I ran out of gas on the freeway (55 SB) and Husain was quick to call and make sure that we were in a safe spot. He was super professional and quick to respond, he filled up my car with a few gallons (enough to get me home). Ok...this is becoming a habit, reviewing tow truck companies ....hmmm, maybe a need a newer car. Today, thanks to some drywall with nails still attached I ended up on the side of the 55 Freeway South with 2 flat tires. So I called AAA, told them I need a flat bed as I had 2 flat tires, and they dispatched A & B towing. Now normally being towed is no big deal, but with a 25 year old Corvette, which has been lowered, and has non standard super low profiles tires, well, it becomes a problem. About 15 minutes later Miguel arrived in a spotless flatbed rig, seriously, I have never seen such a clean tow truck! He took a quick look around the car, commented that it was very low, even more so now with the flats, but that it would be no problem. Now I have to admit I am a little paranoid about my "baby", and I have had flat bed tows before, and the car always catches on something, but no need, it was in good hands. Miguel didn't do what I expected with the flat bed, instead he got several pieces of lumber and right there on the side of the freeway he made a simple ramp extender. Ok, now I'm sure this is something they do every day, but to someone who in the past has had to listen to the bottom of his car grinding on the bed of the tow truck, this was nothing short of brilliant. The ride home was pleasant and uneventful, Miguel unloaded the car with the same wood ramp setup, and even helped my put it in the garage. Recommended.! read more

So, there I was on the side of the road... frustrated and beyond tired from work with a flat tire.... mind you it's like 12 am. Right? Quick update to my post. The young man who helped me claimed it would be of no cost to keep the vehicle at the lot, however, they're trying to sell my car, as they've decided they are going to charge me. They did not bill me any amount. Avoid, avoid, avoid! Secondly they claim that they no longer work with AAA and decided to bill us directly. Do not use this service with AAA, as they will cancel their AAA and bill you instead. They're sketchy and use loopholes. read more

Chris was the technician who helped us, he was very professional and I appreciated his Customer service. We had it towed to our mechanic with no problems. Carlos (truck #18) came out to help me jump my car that had been dead for several weeks, and he was the MVP of the day -- A&B towing, if you are not paying this guy the big bucks, you should. First we couldn't figure out how to access the trunk where the battery was located because it was electronically controlled and the car did not have enough power to open it. Carlos had all the suggestions on how to troubleshoot situation, and kept a positive solution-oriented attitude the entire time. We eventually found our way into the trunk and located the battery, but it was too dead to power a jump-start of the car. Again, Carlos had a solution to the problem. Rather than tow the vehicle somewhere, he wanted to see if his company had the battery I needed. In true Carlos fashion, he tracked down the battery, and requested it to be delivered within the hour. It was perfect, and he even passed on all of the instructions to the next driver so they could easily access my residence. #WeLoveCarlos read more

Unfortunately AAA dispatched this company to me when I needed to be towed to the dealer due to my transmission going out. I was told I had to wait an hour and 20 min. WTH? Just to be towed 5 min away really? What made me mad it was more like and hour and 45 min and when I was tracking the status of where the driver was it said the call came in 23 min after I placed it with AAA. The guy who showed up wasn't to friendly either didn't catch his name. Not sure why AAA couldn't have dispatched another tow company, but they will be hearing about this as well. There's no reason someone should have to wait almost 2 hours to be towed 5 min away. read more

My tire went flat this morning and I ended up on a tiny slice of shoulder with cars whizzing by. Couldn't even get out of my car! Ihab from A&B showed up and got me moved to safety. I decided to have him tow me to a tire store instead of messing with the spare because I had a LOT of stuff in my trunk and wasn't even sure what condition my spare would be in. When we got to the tire store it was packed and I knew it would take forever. I asked Ihab if he wouldn't mind changing to my spare after all if I pulled all the crap out of the trunk. WHAT A PATIENT GUY! He deserves a medal for helping me unload the trunk, pulling out my never used spare and then putting it on the car! Nice and friendly the whole time. These guys towed my daughters car. The fees totaled over $800. I asked for a discount and Melissa said no, not a chance. However I requested to speak to the manager, and Mike said he could discount the fees, he further said come on down and we'll discuss it. When I got there Mike was not available and they were not willing to discuss it or budge. They acted like they own the business, very disrespectful, I wish I did not have to deal with companies like this. Recommend you stay away if you can. read more

I had an issue where my car would not move into reverse or drive and it happened to be the shift cable had broken. After calling AAA, they sent A&B Towing and Carlos was the driver that showed up to help. He was extremely helpful and even though I didn't have my car towed, he fixed the problem temporarily so I could at least drive my car home that evening and then get it to my regular mechanic the next day. My truck wouldn't start after I had worked all night. AAA sent out a battery guy who couldn't get my truck started. So I requested a tow. AAA said it would be 45 minutes. Ihab from A&B Towing in Costa Mesa was at my location in 25 minutes. Ihab was able to get my truck started so I didn't need the tow. The whole time he was very helpful and friendly. I like calling AAA for minor stuff like this, I've had a lot of good experiences dealing with tow truck drivers. This tow truck driver did not disappoint, he showed up 10-15 minutes after we called and joked around with us and opened the car, one handed, in like 10 seconds. Yay! read more
