My car battery finally died after weeks of ignoring the signs of a depleted battery. It died after a breakfast run to Panera, and I was stranded. Anywho, I'm cheap so I don't have AAA, so I had a friend Yelp a nearby towing service. A&B quickly came to the rescue. They were at my car within 10 minutes and they charged $55 to jump start my car. A small price to pay for fast service. The tow man thought I needed a new starter, but he was wrong. He attached the jumper cables and magically the car started. read more

Z was super helpful when my Bentley Supersports had a front suspension malfunction and needed to be put on a flatbed in order to be towed to the repair facility. Moreover, it was parked in a spot where there is parking on both sides so space is limited. He was able to carefully guide me into reversing the vehicle (which has to be kept straight in situations like this); and proceeded to maneuver the flatbed in front of the vehicle so that it could be brought up onto the flatbed with no issues. AAA called A&B to help me out when my car wouldn't start. Max arrived and did a battery check and confirmed that I needed a new one. I thought I still had a warranty so he got me started up again and I went to AutoZone to try and get another battery. Turns out my warranty just expired and I was stuck footing the bill for a new one. Luckily Max had already told me the price of their battery and it had a much better warranty for practically the same price as the auto parts store. So we met up again, he changed out the batteries, performed another test verifying the new battery and my alternator were good. Even though I wasn't expecting on getting stranded and having to buy a new battery I'm glad I came across Max and A&B towing. read more

Don was awesome and went above and beyond to help me with my Tesla. My car had completely run out of charge and I had an issue with the underside of my front fender dragging on the ground due to pulling out of a parking space And catching the parking block, thus making my car undriveable. The tow required adding "training wheels" to the front of my car for the tow. Don towed me to the Tesla Supercharger station and when I got there I realized I did not know how to open the charge for when the car was at zero. what I told on this I stated I need to go to Tesla Service Station since I did not know how to charge my car when it was at 0% charge. luckily Don knew about removing the front fender to do a quick charge on Tesla's to establish power to the car which enabled me to open my charge port so I did not have to go to the Tesla Service Station. additionally turn offer to take a look at the underside of my car to see if he could help remove the dragging piece of plastic under my front fender once the car was jacked up he was able to remove the dragon piece of plastic from under the car so the car could be driven. I had already contacted an auto body place to do this so I was very appreciative of Don since this saved me some money and allow me to drive my car from the Tesla Supercharger station versus getting it towed after the charge to an auto body repair shop. read more

Ouch! My feelings were really hurt by this one here. I normally don't take things personal because I understand that people have their own issues and well we are all human. I also understand that we as society are here in the pursuit of wellbeing and following that dollar. What I don't appreciate is, people lying and taking advantage of others, less knowledgeable than them. Here is what happened to me. Today, I, got off a 16 hour shift that started at 4pm yesterday and ended today at 8am. For some stupid reason, I left my ignition switch on the "on"position practically all shift. I had been charging my phone in my car being that I work outdoors. Well, when it came time to go, my car didn't start. Being around many car problems in my past, having very good knowledge of symptoms that cars have for different issues, and knowing what I had done, I knew exactly what it was. Trying to expedite things and avoid calling AAA, I asked around for jump cables and had no luck. So I call AAA. Everything went smooth. The scheduled time of arrival was on point and the tech was attentive to keeping me notified of his ETA. Tech arrived in a pickup truck full of new car batteries in the truck's bed. Tech takes my picture ID and AAA card and takes info. He then proceeds to grab his car battery tester. He hooks it up to my battery and says, "Your battery is dead" "Zero charge"! "You need a new one"! I said, "No, I need a jump"! He says, "My friend, I know what I'm telling you"! "You need a new battery"! "This one doesn't work anymore"! "It will not retain charge"! "This machine says so"! At this time he disconnects the battery tester from my battery and walks to the rear of his truck. He, inconspicuously, connects the battery tester to two of the batteries located in his truck, and from there prints out a receipt looking report stating the charge a new battery is supposed to have and the charge it had. I asked him if he was going to at least attempt to jump it and he kinda looked mad and said, "I will, but it is not going to work". He connects the jump starter to my battery and tells me to go try it. Because of my suspicions, I made sure the jump starter was on, and it was, so I asked him if we needed to wait a bit so that the battery charges a little. He said, no. That the jump starter was a good one and if the battery was good that it should start immediately. I went to try and turn my car on and it sounded like it wanted to turn on but then it didn't. So he immediately disconnects the jump starter and says, "I told you"! I then told him that I am not going to purchase a battery and if he couldn't help, that I was going to wait and ask someone for a jump. He then says, "Okay buddy, I will hook the jump starter to your battery and wait 15 minutes or 30 minutes". "Whatever you want". I asked, "Will you"? "Please"? So he did. We waited about less than 5 minutes and then he says, "Go try it". So I did and guess what? Miraculously, the battery came to live and my car turned on. I sarcastically and genuinely thanked him for the miracle. He was a bit mad at the situation and said, "You're welcome man"! And left. I did call AAA and filed a formal complaint in hopes that he doesn't continue to try and take advantage of situations like these. I can only imagine how many people have become victims of his. read more

Terrible customer service! They damaged my back bed of my truck & refused to have a look at it and denied they did the Damage. I had to track down the manager by phone and he was not returning my calls. When finally reached he said the owner of A&B is denying your claim. Ok mr. manager Well where is your Due diligence as an employee to return the call and forward that information to your customer. Scroll down you'll see buried bad reviews of broken door handles and other unhappy customers. I think the lady on the phone was named Lisa. She was the nicest person ever and very pleasant. We got lucky and there was a driver right by us and she sent him straight over and we waited less than 10 min. The driver, I didn't get his name, we equally just as nice as Lisa. This is a difficult industry to be in, but all other tow companies don't have the customer service that this one does. They made a difficult experience very easy. I appreciate your service!!! My car got rear ended and had to be towed, so I had to deal with this company several times in the last week. I had my car towed twice and called them them a couple of times to get information, the guys at the office and all the drivers were professional, nice, and courteous. They answered all my questions in friendly manner and got me the info I needed. On my second tow, it was a pretty close to their yard, only about two miles away and the guy in the office waive the millage charge and only charge me for the hookup, which was reasonably priced. Once we got to the destination the tow truck driver was pretty cool and helped pushed the car into the parking space it needed to go into. read more

(Tried to enter separate reviews in praise of 2 different drivers on Valentine's Day Night - Yelp won't play, so I had to combine them) We want to complement the EXCELLENT assistance of stinger-truck driver Steve B, and flat-bed driver Gregory G.: Steve was friendly and business-like as he prepared to hook-up our disabled Mercury hybrid from the 8:40 p.m. darkness of the outside shoulder of the 405 Fwy , and move us to a safe, well-lighted location; his stinger-truck wasn't suited to transport our small SUV the 50 miles back home, so he coordinated with A-&-B Dispatch - a flat-bed driver colleague - to complete the task. We wished Steve B an as-good-as-possible Valentine's night - my wife offering tips for refreshing the the slightly-wilted flowers he had stashed in his truck - ready to present to his date... Arriving ~ 9:30 PM, Gregory G. was cheerful despite having to work even-later into this evening - expertly loading our undriveable Mercury hybrid onto his flat-bed, and driving us the ~50 miles back to home. He provided engaging conversation - and kept his cool - through some truly nasty Downtown L.A. traffic. We gave Gregory some route tips to the drop-off spot, and then back to the freeway - so he could return home for what was left of HIS Valentine's Day night. read more

My battery suddenly gave up the ghost this morning. I even have an independent battery jumper and it just clicked. I called AAA and my friend from A&B was here in about 35 min. A Miss Sina Alipour, From A&B Towing at 1785 Monrovia Ave. Costa Mesa California is the best of all AAA towing ever! It was after sunset and I needed to drive to the drugstore since I was very sick and my car just wouldn't start. I called my AAA Roadside Service and they said it would take 45 minutes before anyone came out! Guess what?!? I 8 minutes a battery service truck from my beloved A&B Towing called me in those 8 minutes and had to test my starter and another thingy, but he said my battery was at 0 and I needed to drive for a few hours on the freeway. Then I had forgotten to take my club off my car and needed another charge since I had to use my ketmys to lock up my house. This angel recharged my battery yet again and off I went for a 100 mile drive and I am amazed that this tech did not push me on buying a new battery as I swore it was a bad starter, but it was good! I can't explain this quick service and the whole company knows what they are doing! Always call A&B Towing from AAA roadside service! You will be glad you did. I've had two experiences with A & B towing. 1st Experience: I needed my car towed from my apartment in Irvine, CA to an auto repair shop also in Irvine, CA. I had no problems here. The tow truck driver was very nice and arrived early. 2nd Experience: A week later, the auto repair shop couldn't fix my car so I needed another tow. When I called A & B again, the dispatcher interrupts me and says that A & B towing DOES NOT SERVICE the Irvine area. She wouldn't even let me say what part of Irvine I was in. This is despite the fact that I just had a tow from the same company a week ago while in the city of Irvine. On Yelp, Irvine is well within A & B's service area (they are located in Costa Mesa) and I was only 9 miles from their location. And yes, I tripled check that I was calling the same number as the first time. I was using the number listed on Yelp and the number on the receipt from the 1st tow. TLDR The tow truck driver was great, but the dispatcher was rude and refused to send out a tow truck to the neighboring city when I needed a tow a second time. read more
