One of the reasons I chose them was because they've been in business for more than 48 years and had consistently great reviews. I also like reading the one-star reviews because, let's be honest, you really can't please everyone. I just wanted to find an honest and trustworthy shop. I called and spoke with Ron right before closing time. He took the time to listen to everything I was experiencing, explained what he thought the issue could be, and told me to bring the van in the next morning. Their shop opens at 8:00 AM, but when I arrived around 7:45 AM, they were already there working on vehicles. When I walked in, Ron remembered our conversation from the previous day, which immediately made me feel comfortable. He scanned my van but didn't notice anything unusual. He reset my ECM and another setting, and thankfully that solved the problem. What impressed me the most was that Ron didn't charge me a dime for his time or help, even though I genuinely wanted to give him something for helping me out. I drove all the way from Disneyland back home to Northern California without a single issue afterward. I have brought my girlfriend's SUV to Frank a few times in recent months and wanted to write an…read moreupdate. One visit was to troubleshoot the air conditioning, which was barely cool at best. I was hoping it just needed a Freon recharge. After checking the A/C system, Frank confirmed that the Freon was just low and everything else looked good. Luckily, her older car uses the newer, less expensive Freon. I just hung out while he recharged the system, and it was ready to go about 20 minutes later. The cost was only $150, money well spent to get ice cold air conditioning back. The most recent visit was to troubleshoot a service error code and ABS and brake warning lights. I was hoping this would just be a sensor on one of the wheels, but Frank said it looked like the main ABS ECU unit was faulty. Given the potential cost of the repair, it didn't make sense given the value of the car. I appreciated his honest opinion. He said there was no charge, but I still tipped him for his time because he always takes great care of me. I have tried a few other shops in the area over the years, and had initial good experiences. However, they all eventually gave me an estimate I knew as wrong, or didn't do work they said they did. I've been going to Frank ever since, and trust him 100%. If you need a top notch mechanic, Frank is your guy!
