I brought my car into the shop to fix an oil leak. What I got back was a completely ruined engine, its fried. For reference, my engine only has about 115,000 miles on it. I brought the car in Tuesday October 21st 2025. I was concerned about an oil leak and needed it fixed. I told Gil I just needed it done before November 2nd 2025 because I needed it for a trip. He said ok. I don't hear back anything the first few days, the I'm told where it's leaking from, a price, and a date it'll be done. Roughly 700 dollars, it would be done next Tuesday (OCT 28th). I say ok. Fast forward, he then tells me he finds other issues, and I tell him to go ahead and work on them. Then I'm being told the he never ordered my part, and it wouldn't be done until after I have to leave. I wasn't cool with that. I told him to put my car back together, and I'll take it to a different (real) mechanic, accepting that it wouldn't be done in time. I go to pick up the car Thursday October 30th, I get in my car to start it and I hear an extremely loud screeching sound, so I pop the hood, and record a video (the video of engine). I shut off the car, go back in and ask him to come listen to it, I'm told its always sounded like that by their front desk guy. So I start it again and stop it, the sound still going, I go back in the guy says the same thing. I wait for Gil, the owner to arrive and I start it with him there. He told me "it's always sounded like that." And I'm like no, no it did not. I have a video I included of the car running and driving 1 week before we brought it into the shop. We scheduled the appointment 1 week before the video was shot. He still tells me yeah it's always sounded like that. Trying to Gaslight me. I wasn't trying to be rude I was just concerned. I ask him "can I even drive this" he says "yeah just drive on it for a bit." But I don't bother, I left it there for another day, I told him to fix whatever he did to my car, too scared to drive it home. The next day I check the AirTag, car hasn't moved an inch, he wouldn't even drive it. So I tell him I'm going to come pick it up and bring it to the other mechanic. He did say it was "ok to drive" after all. So we (me and my mother) drive the car back home. 10 minutes into the drive, all the dash light comes on, and the car shuts off. And won't start again. We were left stuck on the freeway. My mother texts Gil, the owner about what happened, and his response is very unprofessional and strange. (Pictured on the phone) We left a disappointed response and he refused to answer. We had to get a Tow Truck $200. I paid ~$970 for the "repairs" though nothing was actually done to the car, and in fact was made much worse. And now it looks like I'll have to pay well over $3000 for a new engine and labor. Not to mention I have to tow it more to have it inspected for my lawyer, and to another shop. And now I am down my daily car that I needed by a certain date (and in general). I'm extremely disappointed. And honestly angry. I don't know how you can still have a shop if you don't know how to work on cars, or take accountability for the ones you've ruined. I would like my money back, my tow truck paid for, and a NEW ENGINE since you RUINED mine. TLDR; Brought my car in for an oil leak fix, got it back sounding awful, I was gaslighted about said sound, was told it was ok to drive, I drive it for 10 minutes and the engine dies, message the owner and get a rude response, and blocked. Alex Shmidt, our sales representative, was the first person we met when we walked through the door, and we couldn't have asked for anyone better. One of my favorite sayings is, "Everyone wants to buy, but nobody wants to be sold," and Alex put that mantra into action. At no point did we feel pressured. He was kind, well-spoken, patient, and gave my mom all the time she needed to make the right decision. We test drove several vehicles, and Alex walked us around the lot looking at other options, which was no small task considering it was 112° outside! In the end, my mom actually bought the very first car she saw. But because of Alex's patience, we never felt rushed or like we were being a bother for wanting to explore all of our options first. My mom has owned Hondas for more than 25 years, so we already had confidence in the brand. But when you're helping an elderly parent make a major purchase, you want someone who treats them with patience and respect while also respecting the person helping them through the process. Alex did exactly that. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex or the dealership to anyone looking for a Honda. This is how buying a car should feel.

This update is how she ghosted me after I referred my parents and I followed up on my referral fee! After purchasing my car, she informed me of a referral program where I would receive $150 if someone I referred purchased a car. I would have referred her even if I didn't receive $150 but since she mentioned the program, I believe they should keep their word. After a couple weeks, I asked Amber for an update and she said she would follow up. She suggested that I personally pick up the check so it wouldn't get lost in the mail. Another week goes by and I was in the area and I went in and she had me sign a W9 form. I followed up again and she said she was on vacation. I followed up again and she just didn't reply. I waited a couple more weeks and I called the dealership and was led to leave voice messages with NO REPLY! I sent an inquiry online and was told to call the dealership which I've already done with NO REPLY. I drove over there 3 weeks ago and spoke to someone in person and they had me complete ANOTHER W9 and told me they logged a message for Amber's manager to contact me and it's been 3 weeks and I still haven't heard from them! Seriously, don't make promises you can't keep! My referral purchased a car in March and we're now going into July! I have been more than patient!

I walked into without an appointment and was greeted while all the salesman were working and a few minutes later Sergio introduced himself. We talked about what I want and what my situation was. I hate dealerships but this one was different. I've owned about 20 car's throughout my years. I've walked out of countless dealers because of games, pushiness, almost harassment. Not here. Without making this review too long, Jodi the manager came over, sat down and gave me real, honest numbers without all the nonsense most dealers do. Her presence is strong and she knows the business. It was late and they were closing so I left and came back 2 days later (my next day off) and she remembered the exact deal and once again, sat down, talked to me and gave me a bare bottom price that ended up being better than I expected. 20 minutes later I signed paperwork, got my new VW and I couldn't be happier. I also bought extended warranty because VW sadly have a lot of issues and I'm never buying another VW/Audi. Then I went to autonation VW on Sahara for an oil change as well as the one on Gibson because their oil change was MUCH cheaper. Shop around you guys, oil change here is way overpriced. Last year in March I needed to use my warranty, I specifically booked it the same time I'd be out of the country for 10 days and asked the advisor (not Evelyn, some other incompetent guy) if that would be enough time to drop my car off and get worked on, he assured me that would be plenty of time. Dropped my car off 2 days before I left the country. Told him to call or text anytime. He called me 3 days into my trip to let me know they're waiting for the warranty company to approve my claim. This went on for days of him saying they were waiting for the claim to be approved. Back and forth nearly everyday in my trip, it was never done. I got back to town and it was never done, my car was never worked on. I gave him a deadline of when I needed my car, I had something very important 2 days after getting back. My car was never worked on until the day before. They worked on it until the day I needed my car back and took forever to get my uber sent to me to go pick it up. I was late to where I needed to be that was extremely important. They're so incompetent. This whole time I never complained, never got upset, told them they needed to get it done. I should've raised hell. And the guy Andy Lammers is extremely condescending. I've dealt with him 3 separate times and they were all negative experiences. Sticking with Evelyn until I get rid of my car. 2 stars because Evelyn is great or I'd give 0.
