My car suddenly started making a rumbling sound which became louder and louder as I drove. I travel from Pahrump to Las Vegas daily so you can imagine the stress of my situation. The thought of driving all the way back home to Pahrump afraid that my car would fall apart was becoming a real possibility when I called around and found that all dealerships would require that I leave my car in the shop for a few days. Henderson dealership was extremely kind and understanding of my situation and made their best efforts to help me out. Although I was not able to get a full diagnostic, I was able to bring my vehicle in and have Richard Torres take a quick look to try and help me out. Came to find out that the dealer gets this tax break discount and should provide to the customer. I gave Henderson Chevrolet multiple opportunities to earn my business, but each visit created new problems. I brought my Silverado in for routine maintenance and got it back with a loud blower motor noise and a completely black infotainment screen that was functioning before service. While attempting to diagnose or reset the screen issue, additional problems were created with my power running boards. After several hours at the dealership, I was told nothing could be done about the screen because of a historical code stored in the vehicle's memory. The running board issue was eventually corrected, and the blower motor noise was addressed, but only after multiple trips and hours of my time. After speaking with management, I brought the truck back again. The next morning I received a call saying they could not find a problem, yet the infotainment screen was suddenly working again despite previously being told there was nothing they could do. Because management was responsive and the truck was ultimately returned to working order, I decided to continue giving them my business and later brought in my Corvette for a routine oil change. Unfortunately, that visit was even more disappointing. My Corvette has only 5,000 miles and is in mint condition. The oil fill cap was left off and placed on the fender, and the rear hatch was closed on it, damaging and distorting the trunk lid. I appreciate management stepping in and making an effort to help, but the repeated quality control issues, unnecessary return visits, and damage to a customer's vehicle during a routine oil change are unacceptable. Watch your receipts and parts closely at the counter. I went into Henderson Chevrolet to get a specific oil pan drain plug washer to fix a slow drip on my Corvette. I brought an old-style purple washer with me to show the parts counter for comparison. The employee immediately recognized it, calling it the "old style." I bought the new style washer and I ended up purchasing a new plug as well, which came with a washer pre-installed. The next day when I got out into the bright sunlight, I looked closely at the brand-new plug I was sold. It didn't have the updated, wider black rubber sealing washer it was supposed to have--the employee had sold me a new plug pre-fitted with the exact "old style" purple washer we had just discussed. The next day I went back to return the plug. When I got to the counter, there was a silent understanding between us. Not a word had to be said; he knew exactly what he had done, and he knew that I caught it. To the store's credit, I was not charged the 15% restocking fee printed on the receipt, and the return was processed smoothly. However, as an older customer, it is incredibly disappointing to feel like a parts department is trying to slip outdated or incorrect inventory past you. I have conflicting feelings about Henderson Chevrolet overall, but I'm giving 5 stars based on sales and the sales manager, Gunny. We bought a 2020 Chevy Silverado and Adam was our sales person. He was great, the process was fairly quick and we LOVE our truck. Finance, on the other hand was a little sneaky with the shama-lama-ding dong signing on the desk which is confusing and not realizing that we purchased a $7900 extended warranty. It was presented at $1900 somehow and while you're signing your life away on the desktop, it's hard to see what you're signing. After we looked at the printed copy at home, I realized how much it was. Went in to cancel it, was told by Dave to email him to cancel. After emailing back and forth, I canceled in writing on May 21st. As of July 18th, the extended warranty company still had not received any notice of cancellation. I called the finance manager, Will Folly, who never returned my call. Finally, I spoke to the Sales Manager, Gunny. He took care of the cancellation, he got it back dated to my original email of May 21st. If not for Gunny and Adam, this would have been a ONE star experience. We can't thank Richard and Leon enough. We got locked out of our Traverse the day after Christmas. They were short staffed due to people enjoying the holiday with their families. We were out for the day with our dogs and quite a aways from home. I was able to gain access by popping off the door handle cover but I didn't get it back on right, and it got stuck and I couldn't get it off either. if we couldn't get the key fob to unlock the doors we could not get into the vehicle, and our two dogs were in the back. Even though they were short staffed and busy, Richard had Leon come up and take a look at it. Leon said this happens occasionally and can be difficult to remove the cover. The gap, they tell me they handle it even after I sent them the pay off letter from GM...now they say GM handles it. Yet they have 6 weeks to tell me it was GM and not them!!! 6 weeks!!!!! My whole experience here was terrible from beginning to end, both with the sales and service department. 1. I put down $1k down on a vehicle in advance to hold it until I got in town, but even though I arrived when I said I would, they had already sold it to someone else. They also didn't have any others left on the lot, so they had to grab one from somewhere else. All told, I was there for over 6 hours. 2. Finance added an extended warranty to the vehicle I purchased even after I explained that I didn't want it because I wasn't planning to own said vehicle for more than 2-3 years. 3. There were issues with the brand new car I got from them less than 3 months after purchase. I called ahead before attempting to go in to get them fixed, and was told I could get a loaner car worked out. When I arrived in person, the story change. Despite the bumper-to-bumper warranty and the fact I'd bought membership in their VIP program, they not only refused me a loaner vehicle, but they also wouldn't do a same-day diagnosis on any of the three occasions it was brought to them, didn't offer any alternatives, and were generally completely unhelpful. I've only owned Chevrolets since 2008, but Chevrolet has generally been going downhill for a while now, both in regard to the vehicles they manufacture and their customer service, so I'm more than ready to switch brands after this recent debacle. read more

What could improve....a lot. Went in to purchase a new Tahoe High Country, found the perfect one and the rep took us through it carefully, we test drove it and agreed to a deal with Juan whom I presume was a manager. They detailed the truck, uploaded it to the GM app on my phone and sent the paperwork to finance. That's where it all fell apart. While going through the documents I noticed the stated miles on the app was 49 and the one on the paperwork said 11. So he changed that. Then I noticed the color on the paperwork was white and the one we were supposed to be buying was silver. Ours was a 4WD but, yup, the paperwork said 2WD. I didn't sign anything and asked to verify this information. Lo and behold, they wrote everything up for a lesser vehicle and not the one we made the deal on. In fact, that "lessor" Tahoe wasn't even on the lot. They claimed ignorance, a mistake they said, but they'd be happy to make us a deal on the one we wanted! They tried to say there was a $14K difference but they'd discount that some. That would have put the cost over the original sticker price. I can't believe how disingenuous that dealership is. I got the distinct impression they knew what they were doing the entire time. They never intended to "make a deal". It was all about wearing us down over four hours and then pulling a switch. Surprise? ALSO from Henderson Chevy. For the small geographical area where I traveled today, seeing two Henderson Chevy purchases and one of them like mine, wild! So why the long introduction? I thought to myself, there can never be a bad time to leave a good review, again. I left the lot with my 2024 Trax a year and a half ago (as of this week, actually). I cannot speak to anyone else's experience, only mine. This was my second new car purchase from Henderson Chevy (and my previous Chevy purchases elsewhere also received great service prior to returning there for my first new car purchase). I'm back to share that I'm still recommending Joe Gallagher and Henderson Chevrolet. I know that I can contact Joe anytime I have a question, issue, or just to say "Hi, thanks bud, loving the ride!" He knows me well enough to know dropping me a few emails with new inventory, deals, etc. every once in a while doesn't offend me at all. I mean, who knows, right? The one negative is that those cool coupons GM sends...the one that says they miss servicing your vehicle and they want you back? Yaaaaaah-no. That awesome 20%...sometimes 30% off any service? Read the small print...oil changes (and I have tires rotated each OC)...are excluded. But hey, that's not the local dealership or Joe G.'s fault. That's a negative, thumbs down at the corporate level where those mass mailings to us as loyal customers originate. There are a lot of car commercials on TV right now. During the negotiation, I was offered the extra care package for free, but when it came time to sign the paperwork, I was told it wasn't included and I'd need to pay extra. I went ahead and paid, mostly because it was late and I just wanted to be done. One of the perks of the care package was free car washes, but after running my truck through for the first time, it came out with noticeable scratches. I brought this to the dealership's attention, but they refused to take responsibility, saying they couldn't prove the car wash caused the damage--even though I'd only had the truck for two weeks and hadn't washed it elsewhere. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP. Promises made, promises broken We purchased a vehicle that did not have an owners manual or a 2nd key fob. We asked Mitch Dearvalla for the 2nd key fob, he said he would check into this while we were signing paperwork. We signed the buyers guide which spells out any other items promised as part of the sale, trusting that Mitch would do as promised. When we asked about the keys on the way out after signing and was told that there was no 2nd set. We traded 2 vehicles as part of our transaction, a Chevy truck and a Cadillac sport coupe. Mitch accepted our Cadillac trade sight unseen, viewing only photos of the car. The Cadillac was in the body shop for a minor repair. He told us to bring the car down to the dealership when it was finished. We brought the car to Mitch a week or so later and he proceeded to tell us that we didn't represent the vehicle accurately, as there was damage all-around the vehicle and that they had to spend $1000 to get it sale ready. This is xx. The car was in immaculate shape for a 10 yr old car with only 40K miles on it. We disclosed the vehicle condition accurately and Mitch even viewed photos prior to trade. Funny, he didn't mention anything about damage. When we dropped the car off, we went into the dealership to talk with the sales manager about our 2nd set of keys for the vehicle we purchased. We also had our 2nd key sets for our trade vehicles, as well as all service records. Gunner told us that used vehicles don't include a 2nd key or an owners manual. That's funny, we have ours. And if we aren't getting a 2nd set for our new vehicle, you aren't getting our 2nd keys sets for our trades. Gunner did not care and told us to do what we need to do. That is crappy customer service. Fast forward 3 weeks.... I received a call from my bank,advising me of my past due payment on our 2 vehicles and that they were putting the accounts into collections and reporting delinquency to our credit bureau. I immediately called Henderson Chevrolet and got transferred to everyone except the finance department. I finally reached Kathy Bugarin in the business office and advised her of my phone call with my bank. After being put on hold, she came back and said that she found our payoff checks in the bottom of their 'to do' pile and that they forgot about completing our payoff transaction to our bank. I was 2 days away from a ding on my credit for non payment, due to the incompetence of the ENTIRE team at Henderson Chevrolet. How long would it take them to complete our transaction if I had not called to ask about it? 2nd key was $300; owners manual was $70. Tack those charges on to the $100k+ truck that we purchased. So far great dealer ship. Plenty of seats while waiting for service with free coffee if you need that caffeine fix. I'm impressed with to appointment necessary for an oil change or a battery change. That was fantastic especially when I recently was having battery issues I was just able to drive in and get it replaced. The only issue I did have was I just recently was told I couldn't replace my tires until February when there tire guy comes back from leave. I find that strange that they only have 1 person to do tires at a dealership that large. Now I have to go somewhere else. This was the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. It started with predatory and deceptive business practices by the finance guy Alex and Salesman John. I was told the would not be able to approve the loan without me purchasing an extended warranty. I ended up caving and buying the warranty just so I could get out of there. Less than 48 hours after driving off the lot my engine starts smoking and the AC starts blowing hot. I bring the car back to the dealer and they tell me that the part is back order and they don't know when it will be in stock. I ended up finding a part at a local dealer, and thankfully the dealer was able to sell it to Henderson Chevy. The whole time my car was in service I was not called or updated. I had to call every day to get an update. Save yourself the headache and buy from somewhere else. The management here is rude and after I brought my concerns to Jeff he said "well I guess it was a good thing you bought the warranty" like it was some sort of joke. I got a phone call and they told me that "I" now have to get it myself and they will reimburse me for the invoice. After all is said and done and gave them the Nissan Invoice for the Key Fob... it became a problem to collect payment. Then when I received the check, it wasn't the full amount. I review documents for a living as a collections supervisor--I know when something's off. And this was more than off. This was negligent. Turns out, he had me sign someone else's loan document--another customer's, with the name "Kent Gray" on it. He didn't even realize it until I brought it up DAYS later when I came back for the window tint they promised me. His reaction? A shoulder shrug and another set of papers to sign. No apology.
