We had Comfort Air install our new HVAC system seven years ago and called them when we had an…read moreoutage. The tech came out, fixed it, and then noted our whole duct system was inadequate. We contracted to have it replaced for a little over $9k. The crew who came to work didn't seem to have the full work order and did not provide tarps or anything to cover the mess that fell from the ceiling during the job. We were promised a portable AC unit during the day while the AC was off but that didn't happen either. Our order called for all new vents, but that was news to the crew on site. They did leave and eventually return with replacement vents. The original tech said he would follow up the next day to make everything right, but that's two weeks ago and no word. I'm not 100 percent sure that everything on my work order was installed, but the vents and system are working well. I guess I expected better customer service since we had a great experience the first time. Update: the general manager is following up to investigate our concerns. He was immediately responsive to my review. Hopefully all will be made right.

Their reviews as well as overall ratings were what attracted me to use them as well as their experience with split units. My call was answered right away & I was able to get an appointment the next day. That went very smoothly & the technician was very professional & helpful. Unfortunately a while later my Carrier unit's fan motor started making noise. It was Easter weekend, but I called them to see if they could send someone to at least take a look at it. Chris the owner responded to my call & despite being with his family, said he'd be over later that day. When he arrived, he assessed the situation and explained to me that the previous repairs on the ac unit had replaced the fan motor with the wrong size motor for that unit. He took the time to educate me on why the motor was wrong & had resulted in damage to the fan. As a result, both the motor & the damaged fan would need to be replaced. He said he'd work on getting both a new fan and motor for the unit. Unfortunately there were non in stock from the local suppliers as well as LA. We're able to find the right motor & fan at an out of state supplier which was able to ship it UPS 3 day delivery. Parts came a day early, & Chris was there the next day to install both! He again showed me how the new motor & fan were not only the right ones for my unit, but also how it would be more energy efficient as well. Chris is a true professional who genuinely cares for his customers! I'd definitely recommend him to any of my friends in the future!

Next came the 3 person installation crew: Aaron, Johnathan and Jesus Jr. They showed up on time, in uniform and introduced themselves to me. They installed my new split system ac unit with an inverter compressor with a gas heat fan coil unit and installed new diffusers throughout the house in 10.5 hours working non-stop (I gave them access to the drinks in my mini fridge to keep them hydrated) but I was very impressed with their work ethic! They even fixed the 2 pre-existing issues I had with no air flow in 2 of 3 rooms by rounding out my duct work that had become squished. In the course of moving the old fan coil unit out and the new fan coil unit into the attic, the ceiling sheetrock was cracked; they took pictures and reported it to their boss and brought it to my attention. So, Next Level scheduled a repair man for the ceiling and a Tech to investigate the lack of air flow in the kitchen. 2 days later Roberto and Bryon showed up first thing in the morning. Roberto not only did a great job repairing my ceiling, he also repaired the area around the new thermostat that needed touching up. Bryon adjusted the volume dampers we added to our existing ductwork to force more air to the kitchen that had always been starved of air flow. My whole house is now very comfortable and I'm actually looking forward to receiving my electric bill to see how much I'll be saving!!! I found Next Level by using Google AI and asking for the best AC companies with the best pricing and the highest customer satisfaction ratings and Next Level was one of five companies I interviewed. During the visit, I was pushed to sign off on thousands of dollars in "urgent" repairs: an $848 hose bib replacement, a $2,450 whole-home shutoff valve swap, a $989 gas earthquake valve, and a $6,639 whole-home water filtration system. To sell the filtration system, the technician brought up chlorine in the water supply and actually asked if I'd seen Erin Brockovich -- clearly trying to imply cancer risk to scare me into signing. The plumber also told me my tankless water heater needed to be flushed, at a cost of $180. I agreed and had it done. After he left, I checked my records and found I'd paid General Air that exact same amount for the exact same service just six months earlier, a service that isn't due again for another six months. I had already paid for something I didn't need. As far as I'm concerned, that's not an "inspection," that's just taking money from a customer who trusted them. It got worse with my AC. Their tech said I needed $1,400 in part replacements and hinted a whole new system might be smarter. I spent the following Friday getting three independent quotes from other local HVAC companies. Every single one confirmed the same thing: I just needed a loose wire tightened. I'm moving my whole service plan to a different company today. What bothers me most is thinking about how many other longtime customers, especially elderly homeowners, might be signing these estimates, or paying for services they don't need, without ever getting a second opinion or checking their own records. This is the best part - when I called to cancel my service agreement, they didn't ask any follow up questions. They already know. Fifteen years of loyalty, and this is how it ended.
