I looked them up on Yelp and Google and saw some bad reviews, which honestly scared me because I've had bad experiences with warranty contractors before -- they either don't fix the issue or don't show up at all. But I'm really glad I gave A&G Havoc Solutions a chance. The technician who came out (I believe his name was Artem) was fantastic. He showed up on time, quickly identified what was wrong, and actually fixed the issue once the warranty company gave approval-- which is rare with warranty jobs. A couple of weeks later, I noticed a small leak again and called him back. He returned promptly, made a few adjustments, and since then, everything has been working perfectly. Overall, I'm really happy with their service and especially with Artem's professionalism and follow-up. I never post reviews this extensive but it is necessary because I had the worst experience with this company and I need to warn others about them. Here's the timeline: 8/23: Broken AC unit service requested 8/27: Technician came and I was told that a Diagnosis Report needed to be sent to First American Home Warranty. I was promised by Grant that it would be submitted that day. 9/2-9/10: Still no update from the home warranty company so I called and they said they still haven't received a Diagnosis Report from A&G HVAC yet. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and some grace because it was during a heatwave and they must have been swamped. HOWEVER, I tried calling A&G multiple times and left voicemails without response for 9 days! I had to call the home warranty company to find out what was wrong and A&G finally responded with consistent empty promises. It was documented that A&G promised it would be submitted on 9/5, 9/6, and 9/10! 9/11: Home Warranty calls me to notify that A&G finally submitted the Diagnosis Report! Then all of a sudden, A&G finally answers my call and I expressed my concerns about the delay to Grant. He LIED to me on the phone and said that it had already been submitted last week! Grant LIED about the date of submitting the Diagnosis Report! (See photo of email attached for proof of submission on 9/11). It was a simple report that took 15 DAYS of constant calling and headache to get the documentation submitted. And they would NOT take responsibility for their poor service! Even after diagnosis, A&G came up with a ridiculous out-of-pocket cost of $1765 for menial tasks (see attached photos). Their reputation is seen from all of their past reviews! After all of this, I was fed up and my trust was broken so it was necessary to go with a more reliable HVAC company (who also agreed that A&G's additional charges were unfair). Highly not recommended. They charged me $150 for a completely unreasonable estimate. I have been working in the construction industry for over 20 years and I know the approximate cost of pretty much every construction project. The only part of the estimate that was correct, was a price for the HVAC unit because I already knew the actual price of the unit. read more

Unprofessional wouldn't even begin to describe how badly he handled a service request through the warranty company - he started the repair work and left midway through because he couldn't figure out how to work with the specific HVAC unit we have (this is after he submitted the report to the warranty company late like other reviewers had mentioned, then wasted a week waiting for him to get back to us). To be clear, he started the repair work and just left the house when he couldn't figure it out - no information about what he had done or not, no update about what we needed to do to finish the repair and now he won't answer any calls. So after two weeks of waiting for him we have to start over, not to mention the diagnostic cost for the first visit that I'm sure we'll never get back (and one would think that this initial diagnostic would include looking at the unit he needed to repair to figure out if he knew how to work with it). read more

Blatant liars who try to juice your pockets as much as possible from an old or faulty machine so they can charge you hundreds of dollars for your parts that cost less than $50. They appear to be in-network insurance scammers. My HVAC wasn't cooling, and I have First American Home Warranty, which assigned them to fix it. The technician arrived and informed me that the issue was with the contactors. He then called someone over the phone and talked to him for a while before suddenly changing his diagnosis and telling me that the AC required maintenance and other expenses, which would be out-of-pocket costs (over $1000) and resulted in my insurance claim being denied. I disputed this with First American Home Warranty's claims, stating that they were lying. You can verify this by checking their Yelp reviews, which reveal that they have been doing this to numerous First American Home Warranty customers. Another vendor was assigned by First American Home Warranty, and they replaced the fan motor of the outdoor unit, which seemed to resolve the cooling issue at no out-of-pocket cost. I strongly advise against dealing with these scammers. If they are assigned to you by First American Home Warranty, request that they assign someone else to your job. read more

This company was assigned to my house from First American Home Warranty to fix my HVAC unit. The technician was extremely rude and lazy and wasn't willing to fix the issue. I explained to him that I had this same issue in a previous home and how it was fixed in the past, but he still refused. I hate writing a bad review for a small business but I'm desperately trying to get this company to pay attention to me. As with others, my home warranty company sent them out. They said my furnace was overheating but they didn't know why and (as with others) suggested out-of-pocket maintenance that "might" fix it. We declined. My real frustration is they haven't told the warranty company that they can't fix the heat yet, so the company won't send out someone else for a second opinion. Heater stopped working at our rental house. Other HVAC companies insisted a new furnace would be required with estimates between $4500 to $7000. Grant came and was able to repair the furnace with a new board and replaced some wiring. He said the furnace was fine, should last many more years, and just needed a new "brain" to run it. Cost only a bit more than 1/10 of those new furnace quotes from the other guys who didn't even try and just wanted to upsell. **STAY AWAY! DISHONEST** My AC broken and my home warranty sent this company out to service it. Grant showed up, diagnosed, and determined that it was a bad motor in the furnace. A couple days later, he calls me to tell me that the mfg has stopped making the replacement motor for my unit but he was able to find a refurbished/used universal motor that would fit. He just needed to come by the house first to disassemble my furnace to measure and take a look at the back of the unit to make sure. As an electrical engineer, this does not make any sense to me since all the info (model number, serial number, operating stats, etc) were on a label on the inside of the front cover of the unit. Why would you need to dismantle the unit to see if a direct replacement motor would fit? The mfg of the motor should already have this info and you can call them to verify unless you are trying to "jerry rig" something to fit or frankenstein something using parts from my furnace and a used one you found somewhere else. To see if Grant was truthful about whether York still made the ECM motor for my furnace, I called York and they confirmed that they are still making the replacement motor and it can be purchased at US Air which is a local distributor of York AC. York also confirmed that there is no universal replacement motors for my York furnace so I am not sure what Grant was going to use to replace the motor. When I told Grant that York still makes the replacement motor and he can call US Air since they have it in stock, he became agitated and was angry. As a result of me catching him in a lie, Grant and A&G submitted a false report to my home warranty stating the failure of my furnace motor is a pre-existing condition. How can a non-working motor be a pre-existing condition? When you turn on the AC, it blows cold air...if it doesn't then it's broken...that's pretty obvious. I am sure when I had my AC installed, the motor in the furnace worked fine for years. Grant submitted this false report out of retaliation because I caught him in a lie. Do not use this company because replacing the furnace motor with a refurbished/used motor that was not built for your furnace could potential caused health risks and potential fire hazards to your home or family. Do not let this company service your AC! Their priority is not to fix your ac the right way but to fix it in way that benefits them that may pose a hazard to you and your family! read more

This company came out to my property on a home warranty repair call. They diagnosed the problem and said that for an additional 400 dollars they would provide further maintenance to have the HVAC run well. We paid the home warranty deductible plus the 400. The HVAC still didn't work. We called and he came up with excuses that he was sick and seeking medical care. Then he sends his tech over claiming our HVAC is not working due to needing a filter replacement which is a complete lie. Since then he is ignoring our calls, has not put in a final report for 3 weeks to the home warranty company despite promising to do so on a 3 way call with us. There is also no address listed on his YELP page to go and talk to him personally because this guy doesn't want to see you personally because he's a fraud. They were assigned to us on thanksgiving and told us they needed to order all these parts then disappeared. They don't answer their phones but if you call the warranty company they magically appear and say the part is on the way so you are held hostage even more. The next time they arrived a week later from the heat not working they sent someone who clearly did not know what he was doing and told us he needed to replace the gas line and did something that made our heat unable to turn off at all. So 85 degrees in the house and smells of gas Yet they don't answer their phone still. And American home warranty is no help btw Finally was resigned to the fact that I'll just hire an independent HVAC contractor on my own and guess what? I, like some other reviewers here, requested an AC service through my home warranty, and they sent these guys to repair my AV system. They spent only few minutes and left. I had to make multiple calls to the contractor to follow up on the status of the report. They finally told me the motor needs to be replaced which is covered by the insurance, but the coils need to have a chemical wash which is not covered and costs me $400, even though my system was serviced few months before and all the coils were cleaned! They then went dark and wouldn't pick up calls, wouldn't communicate. They were holding me hostage as to force me to accept the $400 maintenance fees. I called any contractor; they came in and replace the motor and said that the coils are in fact clean and no need to clean them further. They also lied about that they are going to call me back or set up an appointment in the next few minutes, which never happened. This company is a fraud. read more

This company is worthless. they arrived based on a warranty company hiring them to repair our AC system. they arrived then left, they said they would be back and over the next 7 days they made 5 visits, never returned our calls or texts, his cell phone mailbox was full. when i called the warranty company they would call him and THEN he would call back. he removed some parts from our ac system, took them with him promising they would return them. Five times he told me he would return the next day and EVERYTIME HE DID NOT. The final time he said he ordered new parts since the old ones were beyond his scope, he said he would arrive between 12 and 4........he did not, surprising right? he arrived late, spent 4 minutes on the roof came back down and said the new part wouldnt fit and he would have to order new parts from Chicago. i told him i wanted the removed parts from our unit before he left, he got in his truck and tried to leave, i stood behind his truck and told him i would not let him leave until he gave me the parts back, he said they were gone and i would not get them back. Stay away from this company. Our home warranty company (Fidelity) decided to assign this company to my claim since our heater went out. Two guys came out to our house in sweat pants and no tools in hand (very unprofessional). They looked at our older heater and said we needed 2 parts (a board and fan relay). They stated that the parts will be ready in 1-2 days and that they will come out and install them when received. Simple as that right? No! I had to call them 2 & 3 days later to follow up & ask when they were coming out to install the parts (since it was freezing inside the house). I feel like they took advantage of us since we needed it done asap & they decided to add a $450 out of pocket maintenance fee to clean the heater (Coils, unit, etc). I told them that this was not mentioned at any time while they were here & it just got serviced-maintenanced about 6 months ago with another company & I can show them the paperwork. The Manager/owner basically told me that the home warranty companies don't payout enough nowadays so they need to make some $ to make it worth it (as he has a family to feed himself). He told me that he will not come out unless we pay the $450 otherwise he can just return the parts. They said that I can just call the home warranty company to have another company assigned (which I did but had to pay another $85). Another company came out (Don @ Casino Heating & A/C) and fixed the heater on the spot no problem with minimal charge. Don was amazing and said the older heater doesn't even have a "board" and the relay was fine so he wasn't sure what A&G was even talking about. I am not sure how this company has some good reviews BUT AVOID THEM AT ALL COST SINCE THEY ARE A SCAM. I am assuming those minimal good reviews are from family and friends. read more
