First time I dealt with them, everything went perfectly fine. The wait was really long but they were upfront and friendly about it. Only reason I gave them an extra star. Based on 2nd experience they dont deserve any. The 2nd time having to deal with them, the customer service was horrible. I was given an estimated tow time from roadside assistance. I called and let her know my car was not ready but the time scheduled should work and asked that she let driver know not to rush or go early because car wasnt ready to be picked up. She said okay and I thought all was good. Within an hour I get a call from driver telling me he is 3 minutes away. This is 1-2 hours earlier than estimated time. Driver was a bit rude to me. I call the office back and explained that I was going by estimate on app and she argued that it was wrong and the time she gave me when she called me was the right time. Well she never called me - I called her as described above and she never told me they would be there in less than an hour. I wouldve canceled or rescheduled. I explained that she never called and she tried to argue with me. I finally said okay well you didnt give me a time so what do we do now. She was extremely rude so I told her not to reschedule and immediately contacted roadside assistance to get a new provider. So glad I did. Whoever the girl is that was working there 05/19 between 10am - 3pm needs some additional training in customer service. The driver that was scheduled at that time did too. Also notified by the shop where my car was being picked up from that driver was rude to them as well. read more

These guys are the worst. No wonder they have such bad reviews. They obviously have some deal with State Farm where they charge next to nothing for tows. What's the result, them taking too many tows with long ETA,s. They provided a 75-105min eta.....after waiting those 105 min they call me and say they are running late if I can get the tow scheduled for tomorrow which I can't. They call me and say they will see how much longer it'll be and also call State Farm and will call me back. Next thing, I get a text saying they cancelled. Didn't even have the decency to call me back. If you get these guys be prepared to wait a LONG time and they will prob no show. Awful, my car got stuck at a garage at the university of Arizona and we called them on Saturday, waited 2 hours and nobody showed up, then made an appointment for 9:00AM on Sunday, got to the garage and waited an hour and nobody showed up. After leaving the garage, I got a text saying they are 9 minutes out and wondering if we still want the service. This place is horrible, and had a horrible experience. read more

Horrible service. Was told by dispatcher ETA was one hour. We were not with the vehicle because the car had broken down the night before. We left our house 30 minutes after we were told an ETA of one hour. The tow truck driver called and said he was there 15 minutes after the dispatcher said it would be an hour. Because we were not there with the keys yet he left. No one called us to let us know he left. Our run-flat tire went flat about 12 miles past Tucson. It's 4th of July weekend, 113 degrees out. We called USAA for a tow, which they said would take 90-120 min. Thankfully the car AC was ok for those 2 hours. Our run-flat was pancake flat and we were sitting on the rim.? A&L auto came and got us & our care to the repair place. He was nice & professional. The tow of our immobilized E-car (a Chevy Bolt) was arranged by our insurance company. While waiting for the truck to arrive and tow the car to the dealership about 10 miles away, I checked the yelp reviews and got nervous because so many were not good, our location was on a narrow winding road, the weather was cold and very windy, and - most importantly - because electric cars can have unique requirements (especially battery-related.) Fortunately, my fears were for nothing, as our experience was as good as it gets! Eunio (the driver) was right on time, very professional, knowledgeable, communicative and friendly. He had all the right equipment and a good flat-bedded truck, also well-equipped to mount the car rather than hook and pull it. In short - I hope never to need another tow, but if I did, I would call A&L without and concerns or hesitation. read more

One star is ten times better than this business deserves. After waiting for two hours for a tow arranged by my insurance, I called A&L to inquire when the driver/service might arrive (after all, things don't go as planned much of the time, amirite?), and before I could even finish explaining my situation, the girl who answered the phone interrupted me (but I couldn't hear what she said because I was still talking). When I asked her to repeat what she just said, she sounded so irritated...as though how dare I interrupt her day. When I asked her if I could please (yes, I said please) finish my sentence, she AGAIN interrupted me and said that all she needed was my vehicle information. Sorry, Hon...I'm not trying to write a novel, but if you give me ten seconds, I can tell you everything you need to know...apparently that was too much to ask of her. When I provided the information, she told me that the driver was out on other tows, and when I asked her why the service tracker provided by my insurance showed no movement for two hours, she said it was wrong. When I asked her how long it might take for someone to arrive, she couldn't give me an estimate, and by that time, I was sick of her appalling attitude. I'd had enough. When I gave her a dose of her own rude-a$$ medicine, she hung up on me. I called back, and lit her arse up again. This time, she didn't say a word. I think it was better she didn't, and I believe she knew it, too. If your insurance provider assigns this company to provide service, to use the words of another Yelper, immediately request another company for your own sake--and sanity. read more

Horrible experience and terrible customer service. Insurance set up a tow, A&L said 60-90 minutes. No problem. Truck started so I called and asked if I moved would it void the job in progress. She was short and unable to give me an educated answer. She said he would be there in 15 minutes which was fine with me. 40 minutes later I get an alert from my insurance that my scheduled tow had been cancelled by the A&L. Good lord do t you dare call them with a question as they obviously don't like it. I should have read the reviews prior to accepting the contract sent to me. read more

Needed a tow and they were dispatched through USAA. They did not show up during the time frame and when USAA called them to verify they were on their way no one answered the phone even though the tracking app had said they would arrive shortly for over an hour. I hope USAA removes them from their service provider list. read more

I hope you never need a tow, BUT IF YOU DO these are the guys to call in the Tucson area. ON A SUNDAY we were traveling West on I-10, some random truck in front of us had an unsecured load and a table fell off the back of their truck; table basically blew up in front of us. One of the legs of the table pierced our rental mini-van's radiator, destroying it. Van became undriveable. We limped off the freeway and ended up in someplace called Marana. We called AAA they said it was gonna be two hours for a tow. Fortunately for us, Arturo from A and L was there in about 35 minutes, had the mini-van loaded onto his truck in under 5 minutes and then he gave us a ride to the car rental office all the way back at the Tucson airport. Dude was a pro and super helpful. We are very appreciative of the service we got from this company. They made the best of our bad situation. read more

They might be good mechanics. Don't know. Never tried them out for that. I can absolutely guarantee that they are completely useless as a towing service though. Waited over three hours while the driver got scheduled on other jobs (which the dispatcher said she didn't understand) while the tracking service showed him parked in various locations throughout town. I never expected to write a review for a towing company but here I am... My wife broke down one evening last week. We had towing insurance and set up a tow. A&L was contacted. At first, she was told the company would be an hour or two but upon learning she was alone on the freeway the owner of A&L showed up quick. We needed our vehicle towed to the local dealer. Unfortunately it was closed until six in the morning and the car would need to be stored. Our tow service package required us to pay a fee and recommended we have it stored at our home and then another tow in the morning to the dealer. The owner of A&L offered to store the vehicle at his cost and deliver it in the morning to the dealer. This saved us so much time and frustration. The next day it was delivered at 6am! All we can say is thankyou! The next time we need a tow we will be calling A&L. read more

Great place to get your car towed. The tow truck driver drives like in Indy 500 driver. He is an expert at weaving in and out of busy traffic without using any turn signals or caution. He will get your car too it's destination immediately. It may not be drivable after that, but that's not your goal, correct? read more

I was told 90 minutes to get a tow to the mechanic shop. 2 hours later I was told 25 minutes before the driver would get to my location. 2 hours after that, the driver finally showed up, but the mechanic shop had already closed by then. MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER My son was stranded due to storms. After some mix up with the insurance company he was finally told 9 hrs later that someone was coming out to tow his car. 3 hrs later he was informed that this tow company would NOT come out til they were paid. The owner then told my son his money was more important than helping my son. He also told my son that it's his fault for leaving his vehicle there. My customer had a non fault accident and the claims office had A & L Towing come get the vehicle. The driver refused to take the vehicle to the customers shop even though it was 1.5 mile away. He insisted on taking it to his storage yard. After arguing for half an hour and getting the claims reps back on the phone, the driver agreed to take it to the shop and only take it to storage if the shop refused to accept the car.
