There was no other customers in the store and your employee couldn't bear to peel himself from behind the register to help me find something. All I got is if we have it look down there. When I first came in to return a bad battery they wouldn't honor the 2 year warranty because their battery tester said it was good. I went through the hassle of going to two mechanics to have the battery tested and went back to show them the CCA readings were bad. They tested the battery on another system and it still was coming back good. I contacted customer services who were able to explain my situation to the manager that day named Adam. First, thank you to customer relations and second give Adam a raise as he was able to make the return as easy as possible, put the customer first, and honor the warranty as all companies should when applicable. Another thing I'd like to mention, to me the employees at this location that I interacted with (excluding Adam) were rude, unhelpful, and didn't know what CCA's were as their machines aren't even capable of testing for them. O'Rielly's, my only suggestion is that you train your employees to be kinder to their customers & to have machines with the ability to test for CCA's. read more

Warning: THEY ALLOW SICK employees to be on counter and without a mask (who knew what she had). Not knowing she was "sick" until most of all transaction took place! Was only told after she abruptly left the counter by a fellow employee. Jenny was her name and she made a point to make sure she appeared not to like her job as she leaned on one side against her arm with a true look of disgust in her facial expressions. Not once did she say "hello" or "can I help you?" Nor my nam either. I'm no expert, but aren't these the standard in customer service let alone be a friendly person. After the great service I had made the mistake of asking for help with the battery installation (as part of the chains claim), they told me that he (never mentioned name, concern or anything) tells me that Jenny is SICK and he is the only one else there. Odd as it is another employee is sighted. Was offered to use their tools to do THEIR job, but why stop at the battery another $13.00 for a wrench was nothing. Now I was doing this for my senior mom who needed help, what would happen if she or a handicapped person had made the mistake of choosing this store? Same great service? Bottom line is they knew the employee was SICK and didn't care enough to protect their customers and on top of that the service was terrible at best. I don't see why anyone should shop here. Unknowingly to me, my car battery was about to die. I drove to a near by store near this Oreilly's to handle some chores. When I attempted to start my car, all I heard was clicking **FACE-PALM**. I called a tow truck, and I sat there and waited for an hour... still no updates as to when the tow truck would even be on the way for a jump :-/ As I walked around the parking lot I noticed an Oreilly auto-part store. I figured let me go in here and maybe see what I can do. Turns out this was my lucky day that there was this Oreily near by, and not only that, but and an awesomely helpful and kind person working named Sal. SAL YOU SAVED MY DAY! THANK YOU! He had lines 5 deep, tons of questions flying, and still had time to talk kindly and help me get my car running again and back on the road. I don't write reviews often, but I had to show my appreciation to know that there are kind people out there who are so helpful. He could have easily not helped me and I would still probably be waiting in that parking lot for a tow truck. If you have to choose a place to go for auto parts, I'd say the people here at this store are kind and helpful. I had a very poor experience here. I recently visited this place to use the code reader for my vehicle. The way the place is organized due to COVID is absolutely ridiculous. You have to stand several feet away from the register because you are blocked off by blocks and chains. Not only is trying to swipe your card difficult as you have to stretch yourself over them towards the counter but the cashier's aren't intelligent enough to push the items back towards you after they have scanned them. Instead, they grab and scan your items and keep them on the counter even farther away from the customer and make ZERO effort to hand them back. I had to lunge and stretch over the blocks and chains to get my items back while the cashier just gave me a blank stare. I needed to use the code reader for my vehicle myself because the employees are no longer allowed to do so, I guess because of COVID. However, they require you to leave your DL with them at the counter while you use it. I guess that's acceptable to them despite COVID? Logic doesn't make any sense. I had trouble using the reader and when I asked for advice one of the young guys working there made some really condescending remarks to me that were quite unacceptable for someone in customer service. He also seemed frazzled, in a hurry and a little all over the place which was strange considering they had no other customers in the store at the time. I used the reader, took a screenshot of the codes with my phone and returned the device. I wanted to rescan my car for codes later that evening and went to the nearby AutoZone on Hillsdale ave. The experience was a night and day difference. Customer service was great, no DL required to use the reader and they printed out the codes for me without charge. The young man at the counter was informative and helpful. Orielly's is more of a "what if you let your teenage son run a store". Yeah, the attitude, the service, it's like that. read more

Had some trouble with 2 different O'Reilly's and their employees. A lot of other people were incompetent and unintelligent about the general auto trade. Luckily for me and my car, Mike from THIS location walked into one of the other ones and told me he could help, and that I should come to his store. I've been to his store 2 times since then and he not only has helped, but also informed me about my car AND a local mechanic that wasn't out to make a buck. I'll be going back to Mike for a follow up and for the foreseeable future until I have no more car problems. TL;DR i had a lot of problems and Mike (the manager) fixed em. I don't often do auto parts stores, but every once in a while, I need wiper blades or other basic auto-related things. O'Reilly is super close to my office, so in I went in search of auto parts. The wiper blades are easy to find in this clean and organized store. I asked store employee Lawrence if I chose the correct blades, he confirmed, rang up my order and installed them for me (snapped on quickly, but cool I didn't have to do a thing!) I've now called a few different stores and the guy here was by far the rudest, acting like I was crazy for calling ahead and asking for installation help, despite the fact that I was sold a faulty piece of hardware by O'Reillys in the first place! I needed wipers, the wipers I had were unusable to say the least. I was in a hurry on my way to half moon bay and it just started to rain...the storm is coming! I have never been treated with such blatant rude disrespect as I was here at O'Reilly! I was in the store that I have spent probably thousands of dollars in for about 5 min when the manager interupted a conversation me and a friend were having to tell me to buy something or leave!! When I asked him what's his problem he proceeded to tell me that I take sometimes 45 min to complete my shopping (and parts research on my phone) and that it's too long and I just need to buy something and leave. He then started to get in my face and pull off his mask and threaten me and try to get me to hit him!! I was blown away!! I've never been treated so poorly in my life!!! So unfortunately since I was kicked out of the store and couldn't get the parts to fix my car I had to leave it there over night just to come back the next day with the stuff I needed to get it out of there to find that it was towed!!! And even crazier is that when I talked to corporate they banned me from all the stores until further investigation for some lie they had to come up with for a reason why I was treated so bad but it's a straight lie and I told them to look at the cameras!!! So finally got hold of the district manager and he was extremely rude, wouldn't answer any of my questions! He didn't even want to tell me how to spell his name because I couldn't hear it very well over the phone!!! I would avoid the crap out of this place!!! I went in about a car battery that I'd bought some time ago. I did not have the receipt and they could not find me in the system. However, I've purchased a number of car batteries from the location over the past 10 years. I ended up speaking to Mike the manager. He came outside with me to look at the battery in my car that was having issues. It was a brand that they carry but the manufacture date was just outside the warranty window -- by 3 months. I was bummed about this but what could I do. I did not have the receipt of purchase. I told Mike that I'd have to buy a new one and asked if they'd help install it. He was happy to do so. I have yet to run into a mechanical type person employed at this store. When I asked if they had gasket remover, one guy didn't know what it was and the girl suggested I use brake cleaner and a razor blade. On an aluminum motorcycle engine, that advice would cause you to destroy the gasket surfaces if you aren't 100% perfect in angle of the blade. Minus a star cause they appear to have stopped carrying mobile oil and they don't take used oil. read more
