I am not joking when I say that I called nearly a dozen different pool and spa companies to repair…read moremy leaking hot tub. Pacific Pool & Spa was the only company who was actually able to come out and repair my spa. Many companies simply do not repair tubs and only open or winterize at the beginning/end of the season. Other places would only repair a tub that they specifically sold you. Some would not come because I didn't know the brand of my tub (it's an older spa and it came with my home). I was so happy when Pacific Pool & Spa said they would be able to help me. My hot tub was leaking badly (imagine a 400/500 gallon tub leaking out in about 45 minutes). I was worried how extensive the damage was and how much the repairs would be. I sent some photos of the spa to Julie and Roy and they assured me that not only would they get the job done, but also that most likely the issue was not a major problem. Because of their busy schedule, I had to wait ~6-8 weeks before their team was able to come to my home, but it was totally worth it. Once the men arrived it only took them about an hour to find the problem (a seriously cracked elbow joint) and then another hour to repair the issue and put the panels back on the tub. A few hundred dollars later and my tub is good as new and ready for the summer! Big thanks to Julie and Roy for helping me out. I hope we won't have any more issues in the future, but if we do I will know where to turn!

However, we simply did not click. What started as a miscommunication on the timing of his visit to open the pool, moved on to Ed accusing me of being passive aggressive in my communication (which he does not tolerate), and ended up with Ed accusing me of defrauding Naso Pools, by not checking a box on his webform. My feeling was that it was not a big deal he would charge me for all services rendered. He had my card data. Very odd escalation.....I was good until the defrauding comment came up. After out back and forth, we agreed that we would not be a good mix, agreed that we would go our own ways, with Naso refunding the thousand dollar plus payment I had made in advance. Almost a month later and no refund in sight, and have filed a dispute with Bank of America. I have no clue about the quality of his service, was fine with moving on, but I am not happy about having to have to dispute the charge. May take a month or two but I will get the money back, but that does not change someone trying to charge you for services never provided. Read Ed's counter; lots of analysis for calling just to find out if he was going to show. His planner that Naso specified an all day appointment, no other communication, no prior visit to confirm the scope of work. I see no problem asking for a clarification. Upon him informing me I missef a box, I told him repeatedly charge me for all required serices....and that the opening might identify other work which may need to be performed. I do nor understand why that's a big deal. Certainly not defrauding someone. We have found a great pool service company that's will to just bill me for services rendered. No stress no unnecessary bs. Ed's review gets personal, sticking to facts Mr Naso is taking money for services he did not render. Draw your own conclusions.

We spent over a year trying to find a fair priced, communicative, and quality contractor who was even available to do the renovation work. We had ridiculously high quotes, quotes not itemized, blatant gouging, and folks who would not even return phone calls. Then we found Brian and Northstar Pools. From the first moments, I knew this was not your average NJ contractor. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable, humble - and clearly held to their mantra of providing only caring and customer-focused service - but he really knows his stuff on top of that! His prices were fair and enumerated in detail, so I knew exactly what I was getting. But it took a couple of months while I did more research - and during that time he was ever so patient, answered all my questions, and helped me arrive at a plan that worked. Once work started, he and his crew worked very hard and efficiently to tackle this beast of a project. As I was juggling the logistics of the other related landscaping and electrical work (and not to mention the weather), Brian was super accommodating and patient in coordinating all the work with me. When the inevitable need for plan changes occurred - Brian took everything in stride to make sure I was satisfied. The DIYer and engineer in me forced me to ask a LOT of questions as work progressed (and I mean a LOT). Brian answered every single one of them patiently and professionally - even the stupid ones. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were clearly evident. He even crawled ten feet under the new liner he just installed to remove a few pebbles that had found their way underneath - on a nice hot August day no less. In the end, my pool was opened and chemicals were applied. The area was hand weeded and overgrowth was cut back. Entire area was power washed including pavers, fence, walkway and pool cover. The paver area was resanded. Byron, inspected and cleaned the filter, as well as inspected the heater. He provided me with his expertise with regards to future operation of the pool. He had his very hard working, extremely polite workers also clean my front walk and front of house which was not included but he has an eye for detail and perfection.
