In order to relieve the pain and keep living healthy and happy I must have a very deep tissue massage often. I've bounced around for years trying different therapists all over RI and MA. More than three years ago I was introduced to Beth-Ann the owner of Massage on Main and she recommended I give her therapist Bill N. a try. I'm sure some guys feel weird about getting a massage from another guy, but I don't. Bill is extremely strong and can go very deep in the areas I need him to. I see him every week for an 1 1/2 hours and I he allows me to live basically pain free. If your looking for deep tissue work Bill is the best therapist I've had in 15 years. Seeing Bill regularly is the difference between "aching almost all the time" and "I'm kinda sore at the end of my workday, but I'll be fine tomorrow." He's adaptable, asking before each session if there are specific areas he should concentrate on, and he's happy to skip an area that you don't feel you need much work on -- for example, we mostly stopped doing the mid-back, though he asks each time, because sometimes I want a bit of light work -- so he can spend more time on other areas that need attention -- in my case, the whole ring around the shoulder blades, which I'd never even thought of as something that would benefit from massage, but boy was I wrong! Also of note: I have a trauma history, and the PTSD and hypervigilance that goes along with that, especially regarding being touched. In all the time I've seen Bill, nothing has triggered me, which is remarkable. He's professional but easy-going, and I have come to feel like, when I am there, my body is kind of a complex, important machine that requires regular maintenance to work effectively.

Started going to the Canton spa a couple of years back and have been lucky with some good therapists but it seems when somebody is good word gets around and before you know it they are booked out. It happened to me and I luckily ended up with H**** who was transitioning from Bridgewater to Canton. Well what a fortunate break that was as she is the most awesome of sauces. What I like is her creativeness always changing up but always on point and she is intuitive. Has a good feel. When I'm done I cant get off the table! What better trait is there for a masseuse? She has now gone back to Bridgewater and what do you know I followed her back like the puppy I am. It's really only a 10 minute additional drive which is not even a Grateful Dead tune! I told them that I would put in a good word as I have been so pleased and here it is. The girls at the desk are very nice, the place has lots of parking, is super clean and has a nice waiting room and on the table the music isn't even half bad. As soon as you walk in you're greeted with the calming aura of Cristallo Spa... namely with aromatics. Puts me right at ease! The waiting room has plush seating and a cozy vibe, plus you can see what super cute accessories they're selling. And they're usually at a great price! The staff will also offer drinks to you, although I've never taken them up on the offer. These range from water to mimosas! While the pedicure chairs are not massagers, they are comfy nonetheless. They put scented stuff in the water, and they will work your feet for an hour. Your feet deserve this, I swear! There's massaging involved, lotions, scrubs, an almond mist... all so good. I like going during the day because you have a nice view of the golf course as well. Once you're finished you get to sit in yet another comfy chair, put on a shoulder massager, and let your toes dry. I've been raving about this place so much that my mom got me a gift card here for Christmas. I can't wait to come back and use it!

I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. I honestly wish I could see her weekly. The closest way I can describe how you feel leaving a session is like you just had a massage; you're so relaxed, grounded, and at ease. Marisa has truly touched my life. She is genuinely an angel. She listens, she cares deeply, and she is incredibly dedicated to her clients. I like the location of this place as there seems to be plenty of parking and it's also quiet. This business is located in a small plaza along with a nail salon, dance studio and Dunkin. The receptionist was very nice and explained to me the options since this was my first visit. I went with the 40 minute reflexology and received a free hand mask which left my hands nice and soft. They kindly offered me a water on the way out. Now the reason for the 4 stars. The massage therapist I had possibly smoked right before I came in because his hands smelled quite a bit like cigarettes. The massage table I was laying on was also positioned very flat so as I was laying with my legs hanging down into a tub of warm water my lower back started to hurt a little. I did enjoy the massage and didn't feel rushed at all. I plan on coming back whenever I need a bit of relaxation.
