I liked how Mike always called me to let me know he was on his way and how long it would take him to arrive. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. I had an oven, washing machine and refrigerator that had issues. He explained each problem and answered all the questions I had and gave me preventative problem tips too. Dryer wouldn't turn on and I called this place to see if a tech would come take a look. I was informed because it's a LG I would have to bring it in. Are you serious? Sure let me just toss this in the back of my sedan and drive it on down so you can tell me if you can even fix it...brilliant. Had another company out same day and determined the dryer was fine but the plug in the wall had gone bad. Thank god I didn't try and lug this dryer to this place. I bought a dryer from them in 2023 in September i paid $250 and it broke within 6 months, they offered to fix it for a $100 i obliged and they "fixed it". now the same dryer has broke the same part and they want to charge me 120 depending on what part broke. They sell used products and don't stand by them when they continually break. Save your money and buy new or buy one cheaper off Facebook marketplace or craigslist. Their "used" dryers range from 280-450! used! new you can get one for 450-1000 with a 5 year parts and labor warranty. read more

I walked into the shop one day a few weeks ago to inquire about used dryer availability and prices. Our dryer had been limping along badly, taking hours to dry loads that should take maybe 30-40 mins despite cleaning out the lint tray and exhaust vent. The staff member I spoke with said to hold off on buying anything and suggested a troubleshooting measure for our model. This completely worked and the dryer is now functioning properly. I went to the store to say thanks and give the staff person a nice tip for the advice. They refused and said they were glad to help. What KIND of sales person would do such a thing? I called them yesterday needing a part (capacitor) out of another project I was working on but they are used in dryers too. When I called them I talked with a very nice lady who told me she didn't really know what part I needed but that her tech would be in shortly and I could come down and take a look. Sure enough I went down there and the tech had me go in the back room and he showed me all of the capacitors he had and offered to give me a used one for free. This is what real customer service is. I have never given any business a review, but A Best Appliance deserves a review. And a good one at that. The staff is extremely helpful. When it looked like they didn't have the part I needed to repair my washing machine they searched a little harder and came up with exactly what I needed. Their mechanic has taken the time to patiently listen and explain what I needed to do to not only repair my washing machine, but also how I needed to repair our dishwasher and our electric stove. Purchase a washer and dryer set from A1 back in February and since then have had to call them twice about fixing the washer. 1st time they came out said sock was lodge in it and that's why it didn't work that was in May. I have always used A Best when my washer or dryer needs to be fixed over the years. I have had nothing but positive experiences each time. The last time they didn't even charge us but the service fee. My husband happen to be wearing one of his work shirts that has his companies name on it and the A Best guy knew my husbands boss so he just charged us the service fee. Then he showed my husband how to fix what was broken since this was the 3rd time it broke. So the last time my washer started acting up we just went to their store and bought the part we needed and fixed it ourselves. I've called them with questions that they've always been more than willing to answer instead of just saying someone would have to come take a look just so they can charge me like some other places. What a relief! My washer stopped working, and I tried to troubleshoot it myself in fear of an exorbitant repair charge. I couldn't get it fixed so I called these guys, who my Mom recommended to me. They were here the next day, and replaced several parts on my washer in less than an hour. The whole thing cost me less than $100! It was quick, effective, and affordable. I went in today thinking I needed a new door switch for my dryer, but Mike showed me that it was probably not a door switch and that it was most likely a fuse. He tested my fuse, found it was bad, and sold me a new one. He was knowledgeable and friendly and I appreciated the great service and the great tips for keeping my dryer working properly. Service guy and the lady who handles appointments are very rude and like to hang up phones. Scheduled a service call in between specific times as the first stop of the day. The service guy calls me and asked how long I will be home because we changed your stop to 2nd not 1st. I asked what time he would be stopping by but he wasn't able to give me any sort of time frame and hung up on me. I called the office and spoked to the lady who made the appointment with me. I have done business with these folks off and on for many years. I have purchased two refrigerators one for a duplex I rented and one for my existing garage. Also they have been here three times for repairs. One for my dishwasher I did not purchase from them, Another for what I thought was an issue with the fridge I purchased from them for my garage, That ended up being my issue not theres. And very recently for repair of the water dispenser on my house fridge which again I did not purchase from them. All visits have been a very good experience. The dishwasher continues to work maybe 5 or six years after the repair and the repair of my house fridge cost $65.00 and works perfectly. While not the most social repairman, They are still nice and seemingly very knowledgable in their trade. Would not hesitate to do business with again. read more

my dryer need a switch to work, it was fixed with plastic, charged almost $80.00 and after a week and a half, it broke again, i was accused of breaking it, when i got upset they just left and refused to come back and fix it. eventhough i said i would pay the $28.00 for the part. they are rude. think again before having them fix anything. My entire experience with these people has been a nightmare and I still don't have my repair completed. I'm a renter and this company is the one my property manager approved otherwise I would go anywhere else. I waited two days to receive a scheduling call from them that had been previously arranged by my property manager and never got a call. When I called the woman who answered was rude and implied I should go elsewhere. After explaining that my property management company had arranged for me to use them she agreed to make an appointment for me but made a point of noting that if this wasn't approved they wouldn't be coming. When the two repairmen arrived they literally threw laundry detergent and dryer sheets out of my laundry room as if my property being present in the laundry room was somehow offensive. They proceeded to leave without fixing the problem or explaining why they couldn't. Today they called back and didn't leave a message so I returned the call only to be told they didn't call me. I then called the main number to inquire further only to have the same woman be rude again. When I pressed for information about when they'd be returning to fix my washer the woman gave an extremely exasperated sigh and said ugh well I DON'T KNOW. I'm left still wondering when my repairs will be completed and have now been left without a washing machine for over a week. read more
