I had two homes inspected on the same day and A Better Home Inspection did a terrific job at a great price. Online scheduling was a breeze. The office staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. The inspector arrived early to drone the property, was courteous, answered all my questions along the way and took the time to ensure the inspection was thorough and well documented. He carried all the tools needed for a complete inspection on his toolbelt for easy access. Their use of automated systems made a typically burdensome process very efficient. Online scheduling, online review and approval of documents, and online payments were a snap. Fantastic customer service. This business performed two home inspections on my behalf as a sight unseen buyer from afar. I called A Better Home Inspection because I wanted an independent inspector, rather than a roofing company, to inspect my roof to determine whether I need to replace the roofing. Marco, who previously worked in the roofing industry for many years, thoroughly inspected my roof using both a drone and his own observations. He also looked in the attic for signs of leakage. After the inspection, he took the time to explain to me the condition of my roof and my options, and provided me with a complete report, including many photographs. We found A Better Home Inspection by looking to Yelp reviews, which were many and glowing. Rightly so. Joe was our inspector, and he was actually early and got some visuals done before we even arrived. During the course of the inspection, he was extremely thorough, professional and communicative. He explained what he was going to do and how. After the inspection, we had our report within moments as Joe took the time to patiently walk us through it. I've bought houses before, and he was easily the best inspector I've ever worked with. At the end of the inspection, we took pictures and he gave us avocados (it's a Fallbrook thing). The report itself was well-presented and easy to understand, and came with a follow-up program to assess the extent and cost of potential repairs. Amazing! The final bill was consistent with those of other inspectors, but in truth it was a value, because I feel like we got more for the money (our agent said likewise).
