When I went, there were 22 fried wing flavours and 4 baked flavours. I visited on a Sunday at around 5pm, and it was already bustling with customers and music. Saw from another review that the baked wings were good, so that definitely took up one of the pounds/flavours. For the two of us, we shared the 3 pounds deal ($23.5 +tax instead of $47): - two pounds fried (Dragon Breath, Honeycomb Heaven) - one pound baked (Bollywood) - carrots/celery - one dill sauce for each pound of wings I also got a pint of their Canadian sub-zero draft. It was splendid with a balanced amount of malt due to the cold temperature shielding the hops that would have otherwise turned me away. Some of the flavour names were questionable, lol, but I wouldn't have any better naming conventions either. Bollywood baked wings had tandoori spices and were marinated in yogurt. Dragon Breath was really just coated in a buffalo sauce rub, and Honeycomb Heaven was like honey garlic with a lot of honey and just a touch of garlic. The fried ones didn't have as much chicken nor the flavour of chicken on its own, and were kind of dense and dry. Still better wings than the chains I've tried though. Honeycomb heaven was just alright; something I would find as a go-to comfort zone pick. Dragon Breath was too spicy to enjoy, and I had to soak the wings in the side of dill sauce to remove the tangy heat - an amazing combination that maybe needs to come pre-dipped. Baked wings are meaty and fresh, just like how homemade oven-baked wings are, but the Bollywood marinate really blew me away. I believe my exacts words were "why get dry tandoori chicken when you could have fresh tandoori wings?" If they introduced more baked wing flavours, I'd choose the baked option for every single pound of wings I'll ever get. Now onto ambience. I didn't recognize the music which was good because it served as the perfect background noise to my wing munching trance. And it was lively and nostalgic enough that I felt like I become one of those locals in a diner in a small town that would visit weekly for a dose of wings. I liked that everyone was either eating or in conversation, and that the server left me alone to enjoy my food. In the end we counted the bones, and there were 21 wings. Around 7 wings per pound, it looked and tasted like like a lot more meat than if I had gotten the same quantity at St Louis. 3 pounds of wings + a pint came out to be ~$35 after tax. Very nice - I will be back.

Food tastes great, ambiance isn't bad. I've been there 3 times this year so far for their Sunday…read morehalf price wing deals, but every time I go, I am NOT impressed with the service. Cleanliness of the place is a hit or miss as well. Not a big fan of how they deal with customer dissatisfaction either.

This was my second visit to this bistro, and as always, the food was enjoyable overall…read more This time, I opted for the $40 daily special, which consisted of: A salad as a starter (Excellent) For my main course, I had marinated salmon tartare with rice and other garnishes, which I thoroughly enjoyed except for the avocado, which I left on the side of my plate because, in my opinion, it had an unpleasant aftertaste. The atmosphere was a bit too noisy for my taste, possibly because I hadn't made a reservation and was seated near the bar. The table the hostess assigned me hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, and I made sure to point it out. She apologized and roughly mopped up the spilled liquid. Furthermore, instead of offering me a seat at the table she had indicated, the same hostess practically forced me to sit at the table with my back to the entrance (which I hate). Once she left, I immediately changed seats. Despite these minor inconveniences from the hostess, my waitress exhibited a higher level of professionalism, though she unfortunately lacked enthusiasm. It seemed like she was in a hurry to finish her shift. I don't know if I'll ever go back to this place, as I'm eager to explore other restaurants in downtown Toronto.

It was extremely busy, with lots of servers and bus staff walking around, yet no one seemed to be taking care of our table. There were too many people involved, but no one was actually providing good service. We waited about 40 minutes for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. I asked for it to be reheated. Five minutes later, the manager came over, apologized, and said the dish would be removed from our bill. After waiting another 10 minutes, the food came back at almost the same temperature. Overall, I was very disappointed with both the service and the food. Although this restaurant is popular and conveniently located near Yorkville, it didn't live up to the hype. The food felt more like fast food than a quality dining experience. There are plenty of other restaurants in the Yorkville area that offer much better food and service. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this restaurant.

We were seated and then greeted right away by our waitress. She gave us menus, but then didn't come back for about 15-20 minutes to take our drink orders. We each ordered a cocktail and they arrived within 5 mins. and all looked amazing. We had the Marissa Harissa which wasn't mine but I swapped for it because it was so tasty lol. It was spicy and a little sour and a little sweet. Very yum! I had ordered the Velvet Figue, which was tasty but a ittle on the sweet side for me. We also had the Amal Old Fashioned which was fantastic. My husband and I both said it was one of the best Old Fashioneds we'd ever had. The last one was the Amal Espresso Martini which was good but unremarkable. We waited about 20 minutes before our food orders were taken. We ordered several things to share. The first round came out around 10 minutes after ordering, which was good. We had the dip sampler and chose the hummus basil, baba ganoush and muhamarrah. The hummus basil was wonderfully smooth and had a great basil flavour. The baba ganoush was nice and creamy. The muhamarrah had a very nice flavour but was very sweet which was a little off-putting to me. I didn't hate it, but wouldn't order it again. We had the kibbeh which was fantastic. The texture and flavour were both perfect. We also had the spicy fingerlings which were great! They were very spicy and the sauce was lemony and so delicious. I actuallly mixed some with my muhamarrah to cut the sweetnss and that really helped. The rest of the food took about 20 minutes to arrive (after we finished the appetizers). We had the skewer platter for two and it was so delicious. The pistachio kabab was out of this world good. My sister doesn't usually enjoy lamb, but she liked this. It was spiced perfectly. The other two were very good too. We had the vermicelli rice, which was very nice. I make this at home so I'm familiar with it and really enjoyed it. The texture was perfect. Lastly, we had the pickle plate which was very interesting. The eggplant pickle was different from any pickle I've had before and was quite firm, which I wasn't expecting. It was tasty. We ordered a bottle of Lebanese red wine which was a very nice accompaniment to the skewers. All in all, it was a lovely evening. Our server was very nice and friendly and the food and drinks were very good. The 4-star rating is partly because of the very slow speed at which the food came out. I'd have given 4.5 stars if that was an option We would return.
