Roasted Chicken, Chicken Potato Ball, and Passion Fruit homemade drink.

Amazing service and food is great! I would definitely suggest you give them a try. I've had the Roasted Chicken, Chicken Potato Ball, and Passion Fruit homemade drink. I've also tried the Ox Tails that were also good.

This is my 2nd time and it won't be my last. The stew chicken was so good. I was a little upset that they only had white rice left for the evening but once I got home I was pleasantly surprised because the white rice was really good. The black beans were also delicious. This is a hidden gem that everyone needs to frequent. The family serving the food are very personable and the service was great. I got a sample of the passion fruit juice which is really good.

    Seafood monfongo, yuca fries

Leaving the airport and heading to Columbus we stumbled across this restaurant on google. We came right when they opened, the staff were present and very friendly. The lady taking our order let us know the specials. We ended up ordering seafood monfongo, yuca fries, roasted chicken plate, and a empanada. Everything was tasty and flavorful. The restaurant is small but has seating inside and outside and was very clean. I will definitely come back next time I am in the area.

Wait one minute! Are you telling me this AMAZING restaurant has been 5 minutes from our house for months and we knew nothing about it?! I am over the moon excited to have this place nearby. WOW is the best way to describe the food, and the friendliness of the staff! OMG guys! You must try this restaurant. I mean come on, when you walk in the smell hits you right away. If your favorite restaurant doesn't smell this good when you walk in, just leave because whew! We had the shrimp mofongo, oxtails, and tamarind drink. So so so good. Everything came out hot, and both dishes were extremely tasty. I'm in love y'all. It's a bit small (two tables that seat 2, and 3 or 4 bars stools), but you can order to go if you have a group. Please give this spot a try if you're anywhere near here. You will be super happy you did.

I married a 100% Dominican woman from the island that lived in Washington Heights after she left DR. This place has great food. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Some left a bad review because they said they ordered a quesadilla and fries that were OK. If you come to a Dominican restaurant and order a quesadilla and fries I'm sorry you are an idiot and know nothing about the culture or what to eat. So the ambiance. Is it a 5 star restaurant? No. Stop complaining about what they have to wipe your hands in the bathroom. If you are looking for a fine dining experience then go to Midtown. It's small, the music is LOUD at night and it gets crowded. If you don't like that vibe then go somewhere else. I've been to eat during the day when it's pretty empty and at night when it's packed. Service has always been good with longer waits if you go when there is a concert or an event at night. The food....very good. The only Dominican food I've had that is better has been food my wife cooked, my mother in law cooked or food in the Heights in New York. Definitely the most authentic Dominican spot here in Atlanta. The picadera is SO GOOD. Their beans taste just as good as what I get at home. My wife loves the Mondongo which is hard to make. Rabo is good so are the bistecs, the chuletas and the chicken I've eaten. I haven't tried the Mangu but my wife says it's good and she makes it AMAZING. I've said this before on reviews and will say it again. You have people expecting to get food like DR. Sorry people but we aren't in DR. We aren't in Washington Heights. I'd love to have it that good here but it's not going to happen. It's still doesn't make it bad. The food here is consistently good and I go often with my wife. Get the Picadera Dominicana. Best thing there.

Few cuisines lend themselves to buffet service as only certain types of foods sit well for long periods of time. Fried foods are the worst, as their golden crispy crunch can quickly become oily and soggy. Roasted foods aren't much better, as they begin to dry out as they sit. The only things that preserve well are soups and other liquid-based foods, as they are kept the proper temperature while still maintaining their original quality. As such, my experience with the buffet at Borinquen was decidedly mixed. Things like the lentils, beans, and this fish and potato stew were nice and interesting, and I was even able to catch some fried fish as it was coming out of the oven that was enjoyable, too. The fried plantains, on the other hand... not so much. I'm left with an impression of a restaurant that certainly has what it takes to offer some good Puerto Rican food, but the talent is being squandered by the lunch buffet. Dinner would probably be a better bet.

We had to ask how things operate and a lady told us it's self serve buffet style. We filled our plates and paid then sat down. Not once did anyone come over and ask how things were or check on us for anything. The food was less than mediocre Latin cuisine, really nothing special or worth driving to far for. Too bad because being Hispanic myself and being new to the Columbus area, I was really looking forward to some good Latin food but I didn't find that here. We didn't even go back for seconds. I used the restroom before I left and they were dirty and smelled bad. This entire place was one big disappointment.
