I randomly stumbled across this place and thought it was worth given it a shot. It's a very small two table 4 chair almost to go only spot. I arrived right at opening so of course I was able to get a seat at a table. The cashier was extremely friendly, very nice, and offered to help or get me anything that I needed to accommodate me during my meal. Because I arrived early, I had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes to get my food. I ordered the fried pork belly with sweet plantain and a side of the roasted chicken. The roasted chicken was absolutely delicious! It was extremely hot, very tender, very juicy with a ton of flavor. I'd actually go by just to get a side of chicken to eat in the car. Lol. The sweet plantain were pretty much what you would expect, but they were sweet, well cooked, and delicious. No faults on the sweet plantain. Then it comes to the fried pork belly. While I think it has a ton of potential, unfortunately, it was fried extremely extremely hard to the point we're not only was the meat dry, but it was fried so hard even the fat part I had cooked so much that it became dry. It was too a point where I had to try and soak the pieces of fried pork belly and the pan of chicken juice just to try and moisten it up or get a little bit of wetness on it to make it a little easier to eat. While I would go back, I would definitely ask for them to go much easier on the fry on the pork belly Two out of three is not bad and again the staff was extremely friendly and the chicken and plantain were delicious. So I would for sure go back and give them another try and see if maybe it was just an off day. read more

The absolute best! A comer caliente y frío has become one of our favorite restaurants. We even joke with them about opening another location closer to where we live, but the drive is most certainly worth it for us. They are kind and so helpful. The food is amazing, homemade, delicious and always hot. The establishment is on the smaller side, but we have stayed and enjoyed our food there. We've even ordered catering for a gathering and all of our guests raved about the food. If you are looking for homemade feel, delicious Dominican food, this is the perfect spot! read more

This is my 2nd time and it won't be my last. The stew chicken was so good. I was a little upset that they only had white rice left for the evening but once I got home I was pleasantly surprised because the white rice was really good. The black beans were also delicious. This is a hidden gem that everyone needs to frequent. The family serving the food are very personable and the service was great. Leaving the airport and heading to Columbus we stumbled across this restaurant on google. We came right when they opened, the staff were present and very friendly. The lady taking our order let us know the specials. We ended up ordering seafood monfongo, yuca fries, roasted chicken plate, and a empanada. Everything was tasty and flavorful. The restaurant is small but has seating inside and outside and was very clean. I will definitely come back next time I am in the area. read more

Wait one minute! Are you telling me this AMAZING restaurant has been 5 minutes from our house for months and we knew nothing about it?! I am over the moon excited to have this place nearby. WOW is the best way to describe the food, and the friendliness of the staff! OMG guys! You must try this restaurant. I mean come on, when you walk in the smell hits you right away. If your favorite restaurant doesn't smell this good when you walk in, just leave because whew! We had the shrimp mofongo, oxtails, and tamarind drink. So so so good. Everything came out hot, and both dishes were extremely tasty. I'm in love y'all. It's a bit small (two tables that seat 2, and 3 or 4 bars stools), but you can order to go if you have a group. A friend and I enjoyed an outstanding meal tonight at A Comer. We both had the beef stew which paired PERFECTLY with the white rice and beans mixed in. Incredibly flavorful, filling, and reasonably priced. We both also had their house-made juices (he had Tamarind, I had Coco-lime), along with flan for dessert. We found this new restaurant by chance and I'm so glad we did. We moved here from Miami, Florida a few years ago and the only thing we missed about Miami was the music and the food! Newnan is inundated with the same old same old: American and Mexican food. That's pretty much it. This is NEW. It's DIFFERENT (for Newnan). ITS DELICIOUS. ITS AUTHENTIC. The establishment is small- a few tables and chairs inside and a cute little setup outside, but if you have a large group to go options are available. The food is fresh and affordable especially considering the portion size! Come hungry. Lastly, the service is impeccable. The team is so kind and welcoming! We will definitely back. read more

New to the area and we were starving ( mind you we 98% of the time cook at home no restaurants beat home cooking! except this one) finally decided to find something new to eat and was so happy to find this place in walking distance to me!! Lets start with the food 10/10 I will be trying the whole menu but the beef stew was flavorful with perfectly cooked rice ( I do not like beef at all btw) , chicken empanadas were delicious, my new favorite snack when I do not want to make them, maduros were fresh and perfectly cooked, last but not least the homemade drinks are so refreshing, I want to start buying it in gallons, coco-lime was my favorite and my man loves the soursop. Because I cannot stop raving about them I don't want anyone else to know before its not just the lil corner spot anymore but they deserve all the recognition in the world!!! for being so welcoming and making the best food ive tried in Newnan and I think ever from a restaurant!
