DON'T GO. My French Bulldog has weak hind legs from a previous back surgery, which is very common for the breed. This facility advertises that they accept dogs with special needs, so I paid for their required 5-HOUR EVALUATION ($30) before boarding. After the evaluation, they told me my dog passed and was approved for boarding. A few days later, I dropped him off for an overnight stay. About an hour after I left--and while I was already on my way out of town--the OWNER called and told me I had to come back immediately and pick him up. The reasons she gave were things their staff should have EASILY NOTICED during the 5-hour evaluation!! Nothing she mentioned was new or unexpected. THEIR FAILURE TO DO THIER JOB BECAME MY EMERGENCY. The entire situation was a complete waste of time and money. Even worse was the owner's attitude. The owner was rude, unprofessional, and took zero responsibility for her staff's mistakes. If you have a dog with special needs, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Poor communication, poor staff training, and very poor customer service. read more

Visited the play area for a greyhound event on a Saturday morning and had a great time. The area was large enough for many dogs and owners with room to run on a padded floor and lots of chairs and benches for people. The dogs had a great time socializing and chasing balls (a funny game of ball tag with their muzzles on as greyhounds have thin skin and can get nicked and bleed easily so muzzling is the norm at meet ups). Noah's Arf provided plenty of tennis balls and supplies for easily cleaning up dog waste. read more

We have been customers of Noah's Arf for 5+ years, even after moving further away. It's worth it for us to make the trek instead of using the daycare/boarding option closer to us. The staff are always so flexible and understanding, and they take amazing care of our dog, who has significant anxiety and typically does not like new places or people. I took my dog here after a not so great situation over at Dogtopia Cedar Mill. My dog passed his evaluation on Saturday, and I brought him in for his first full day on Sunday. Tracy, the owner, is the person I spoke with on Saturday. She was extremely helpful, answering all of my questions, and clearly is VERY knowledgeable about dogs. My dog is a Mini Aussie who likes to bark, and his barking can sometimes be misinterpreted as aggressive. Tracy was completely understanding of his behaviors and didn't make me feel shamed for my dog barking in the lobby at all. It was a breath of fresh air! I highly recommend Noah's Arf, and even after one day of daycare I can tell my Charlie loves it there. read more

Ive taken our family's dog, Stella, here for two short visits and Im really satisfied with how they do things. The workers are really approachable and the owners were really nice when I spoke with them. The owners also seem really knowledgeable about dog care and I found them to be really comforting since we're new to using dog daycares. After your dog passes a temperment evaluation you can make reservations online or just drop off your dog if theres space available so its very flexible. Our dog is older and lower energy so I was worried she would be turned away but they have other older dogs and calm dogs (Its kind of funny seeing all the old white face dogs hanging out too). They also have an area for the more active dogs which is where I imagine most people will have their dogs taken to. The only thing I wish they had was webcams for boarding but the owners offered to send daily pics of our dog if we ever do board her in the future so thats a nice workaround. Most importantly the place seems really clean and safe which is my biggest priority. read more

I took my slightly anxious rescue dog for a grooming appointment. The groomer, Taylor, immediately got down on my dog's level and spoke to him so kindly, he was kissing her in minutes. The grooming was perfect, he smelled great with no extra fragrance as I had requested, and his nails were done so well. When I picked him up, Taylor made a special effort to come out and assure me that he had done very well. Very pleased, and will be returning for grooming on a regular basis. Ownership changed some time of 2024 or so and it's horrible. I have been using this company to board my cat for years and have never had an issue until now. I was yelled at for picking up my cat at 10am because I didn't call beforehand which is funny because I was told I had to give a time when I would do pick up at drop off. i was also not given any prior notice that I had to call before coming to pick up my cat. Not the best first impression for this new ownership. Now giving that aside I am trying to board again and was told that we cannot because all of a sudden my cat was peeing everywhere and rude to the workers. None of my cats belongings smelled of pee nor did my cat. This was never disclosed to me at the time and I was never told that we couldn't return. This is horrible service. I hope they learn from this and improve because this is not how you treat people leaving their loved pets while they are away. People want to trust those they keep their loved ones with while they are away and this is not the place. read more

I'm beyond satisfied with the grooming provided to my fur baby by Gabby. She was sweet, very knowledgeable and even noticed and advised me of a bump on his leg. We brought our dog to Noah's Arf for about 6 months given it's proximity to work - for context, he's a large rescue who isn't great with understanding boundaries. We were given a warning for his nippy behavior about a month into attendance and didn't hear about this again, so we bought a 10 pack of passes. After using the 10th pass, I was told quite unceremoniously that he "wasn't welcome back" out of concerns for safety of the other dogs. I would *never* want any dog to be unsafe because of my dog's behavior; however, to wait until the end of the 10 pack to presumably avoid refunding my money and then dismiss him is (pathetically) unprofessional at best. My suggestion for this scantly outfitted operation: don't bring your dog here!!! The expense you'll incur isn't worth it - if you want to be treated like garbage, then by all means, they'll do just that. read more

When they closed their shop in NW Portland, I followed them to Beaverton. I just took my dog in Wednesday and the experience was terrible. I noticed my dog limping yesterday. This morning when I inspected, I found half of his pad ripped off! He is 15 years old and has never had a problem like this. Literally, we just walked around our black yesterday when I noticed his limp. NA didn't say anything about it! In fact, when I picked him up, staff was rude and over the top offensive. I've called several times and haven't heard back. Please PLEASE think twice before you put your pups here. This is absolute neglect! *** Update: I've continued to reach out over the weekend & haven't been able to connect. I'm immensely disappointed. I have a two year old goldendoodle who has been to a few different daycares but is a bit shy and gets nervous around bigger dogs. We had a half day evaluation at Noah's Arf and I was so impressed by the facility and staff! Absolutely WILL NOT return!!! There are many other much better dogs day care center in Beaverton. Since the covid and I am home most of the days, we haven't used Noah's Arf since 2020. We bought some packages for boarding and daycare prior to that. At the end of 2021, I called Noah's and was confirmed of our outstanding packages. As we are going to be away for 2 weeks, I just called them in advance to make sure that the business is still on and be able to use up our outstanding packages before making the reservation. The guy owner was rude on the phone saying that they took over in 2020 and have no record from the previous owner so he could not honour our outstanding packages. He was very unfriendly. I've been taking my dog here for over 4 years and have never had an issue. Recently they switched ownership and you can really tell a difference. One of the owners scolded the front desk employee in front of me, telling me it was a "teaching moment". It was very unprofessional and I didn't love the way he spoke to her, especially in front of a customer. The other owner comes across very hostile and has been snappy to both myself and a friend, on different occasions. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back. read more

I'm sorry to hear about a negative experience moving from the downtown Noah's that closed to this location. I did the same thing, and my Abi has been just as happy if not happier. She was a puppy mill mom that I rescued and she goes every single day during the week. She has been going to a Noah's location since February 2013, and she is seven years old. She has a group of "regulars" that are friends that she hangs out with. I believe you can be very confident that if your dog likes being with other dogs then he/she will enjoy Noah's. I find the staff to be friendly and attentive. I can't disagree more with the negative reviews, at least from our perspective. Boarding or daycare, Noah's Arf is terrific! read more

We boarded our cat recently while we were out of town. This was the first time we have ever boarded an animal. The cat area provided plenty of space in the individual pens and they are let out one at a time to explore the open area of the cat room. The staff also appeared to really care for the animals. I've been a regular customer at Noah's Arf since the summer. Lilly Belle is so excited to come here she paws at her kennel door to get out right away! The staff have come to know her (as me) by sight and truly love her. We definitely don't feel like just a customer, but a part of the Noah's Arf family. For me, this high level of customer service is essential to keeping my business. Their front office is clean, with helpful items for sale, and the desk is always staffed (unlike some other centers that I've had to wait for someone to come to the front!). Carolyn always keeps me apprised of the number of remaining visits I have left before I run out. When I pick up my baby at the end of the day, I know she has had a fun day full of safe play in a home where people love her! read more

Worst experience ever...Last Sunday we took our dog (a 10 pounds mini labradoodle) for a "you wash bath". We gave her a bath and when we started drying her with their towel realize that a bunch of dog hair came out (our dog doesn't shed yet so this hair wasn't hers). We tried a different towel but all were dirty with dog's hair. We decided to use the dryer but it was so strong (with cold air!) that our small dog couldn't handle it. We came out and complained about both the towels and the dryer and we got no response. The lady just stared at us and nodded. No apologies, no refund, nothing! We ended up paying $16 for the worst bath ever and leaving with our wet dog. We are never coming back to this place. Terrible service and rather dirty facility!! read more

This place is disrespectful towards pets. If you love your pet? Please dont take them here. Towles were filled with dog hair. They brought me a basket of nail trimmers and brushes that were nasty, and full of other dog hair. It's not hard to clean brushes. If you dont use a brush with someone else's hair in it on yourself. Why would you think it was ok for your pet? Aprons were full of dog hair that got on your clothing. Front desk was not friendly. Stay away. Can't recommend. I had a good first experience with serious, competent staff. All was well. But then another time a flighty, disorganized employee took my info over the phone and didnt inspire confidence. At drop off the same person got my instructions wrong and my dog only got half her meds over a 4 day period. On pick up a different employee was appalled and said she would look into it, but there was no follow up. I'm not leaving my dog with that goofy employee again - I just dont feel like she will get it right. I'd rather move on than take a chance. read more

It's the first place where he was willingly running into the play area without looking upset we were leaving him, and he is always thrilled to be there. The staff are friendly and easy enough to contact about scheduling and adjusting pick up days, etc. I'd love prices to be less expensive but I don't think they're unreasonable. read more

I truly wish I would have done my homework before I brought my pup here for daycare. I have a 'vocal' breed dog, and explained this, along with her anxieties (just moved from out of state, just started working out of the house every day, while her whole life I've worked from home, and her need for some reassuring from human friends to play with pup friends). She has never been to daycare before, so this was also something new for her too. I wanted to make sure this was a good fit, so I called and wanted to check things out with her beforehand. I was told they don't do tours, but I could bring her in for a trial half day. I did so, and got a report card that she did great, was sweet and wonderful. They also said she was nervous and had some barking, but that it would take 3-4 times of her coming in to really get used to it. The second half day I brought her in, I explained to the girl at the counter about the same issues and needs my pup has. She was rude, blew me off and started dragging my dog to the back without her even knowing they were walking or us saying goodbye. We didn't get a report card and she complained rudely non stop about my dog's barking when we picked her up. I tried to suggest some things for her to try to help ease my dog into daycare. She ignored me. I went today to drop her off at her first full day. Again, I witnessed staff kind of dragging her quickly to the back and taking no kindness to her anxieties or the things I've gone over and over, and just shoving her into the gated area. An hour and a half later I got a call that I needed to pick her up and that she was 'too much' for them. What happened to her getting used to things 3-4 times? A place that deals with animals should have the qualified staff to handle certain breeds characteristics, recognize needs and handle them with care. I feel like this is just a place to throw dogs in a large cage and let them be. I fear for what the other animals are treated like and how often their needs are being met. At the cost they're charging, they should be top notch and unfortunately things are so far from it. So disappointing. read more

Took my 10 month old lab here for the first time and I was very please! It was definitely worth every penny of the $33. From what I could see the staff is great & they seem to genuinely care about your pet. When dropped her off they had her in a little holding area to process and sniff, as well as to let the other dogs sniff. When I got there to pick her up I peeked through the glass to see what she was doing and she was having a great time. Boy was she wore out, falling asleep before we even got out of the parking lot. Went to scope it out for my dog. I would personally not keep my dog there. A dog slipped out the daycare when the attendant came out to meet me. First off, that should never happen especially since they are on a busy street and if the front door had been opened the dog could have gotten out. Second, it's just a building, industrial, cold, no outdoor area. The indoor play areas are so bare and unnatural. It's just a brightly lit room with lots of dogs that cried like crazy when I went in because they all miss their owners. That's not a good sign when the dogs seem really desperate to leave. They didn't seem sad or mistreated of course, just anxious. I am very in tune to dogs energy and they were not calm there. One of the dogs, the one that escaped had very bad separation anxiety and the attendant didn't seem concerned. The play rooms smell very strongly of pee. This is the downside to not having an outdoor area. The boarding area is the loneliest smallest room I've ever seen in my life. NO WINDOWS where the dogs sleep, no fresh air, it's like a narrow hallway that they put in chain cubicles. The bedding on the concrete floor wasn't even warm looking enough, nothing to snuggle in. Just bare and lonely. They put the dogs in there at 6:30 then come a few hours later to walk them then leave them all night in there, locked up, pitch black, no windows, no people. This is just my opinion of having went there to see if I would leave my dog there. I would not. How is this a comforting place for a dog? The people seemed nice but complacent about reassuring the dogs and the environment is just not comfortable in my opinion for a dogs well being. read more
