Then again, about 5 months ago I had another Commercial Kitchen building owner I was helping deal with a very dated and unre-certifiable kitchen space a COVID bankrupted tenant moved out of and left us a bit of a mess. After calling around, I was reintroduced to Ibo at that time. He was again, extremely knowledgeable and cost effective in the improvements he suggested, and came in on time and on budget. Best of all, we found a wonderful new tenant that signed a lease and got approval from the Santa Clara County Health Department on the FIRST INSPECTION! I was very nervous about the inspection for reasons I won't go into, but Ibo knows what the rules are, and how to get it done in the most cost effective way...and held my hand through the process after he was done with the work. I will definitely recommend Ibo to others for all types of construction work. You can have confidence that he will deliver what he says...and stand behind it as well.

[I am really embarrassed and sorry that it has taken me so long (years) to write this review on Yelp. My only (weak) excuse is that I really wanted to include some before/after photos, and it's taken me far too long to figure out how to remove location data and combine multiple images.] Some details: When we were first getting ready to move in after buying the house, we had Scott completely refinish the hardwood floor, including ripping up all of the carpeting and finishing the hardwood beneath. And that also included extending the hardwood floor to the newer addition that a previous owner had just put on with normal flooring, since they were going to carpet over it anyway. There was also a lot of painting and re-do of some older electrical. The big thing for this one was to take a wall with small window on the side of the master bedroom and replace it with a French door that opens out onto a deck, where we enjoy sitting with a coffee (or something stronger) and enjoying the garden fountain. I've attached a Before/After photo showing part of the wall that was replaced and what we wound up with. (I hadn't been thinking about writing a review when I was doing the "before" photos, so just a portion of the "before" wall.) The second major work was a few years later. We wanted to open up the back of the house and let in a lot more light. Scott replaced most of the back wall with French doors and side windows, added travertine tile over the concrete back porch, added steps down from house to ground level, completely changed the roof line to let in more light, and installed a pair of ceiling fans / lights to make it a pleasure to be there on hotter days and in the evenings. We discovered a mystery plumbing leak that was causing water to bubble up on our downstairs…read morebathroom wall and we called Thomas plumbing to come out -Jason had to cut into the Sheetrock to see where to damage was and since we have a funky 70s house insurance had to test for asbestos and pull everything in all three bathrooms (fun) and treat for both mold and asbestos. Needless to say this was our worst house plumbing disaster. Jason made an extra effort to make sure our insurance reset everything so he could test and replace the cracked drains -him and his partner crawled around in the walls for over 7 hours to do all the drain replacement work needed. He also made sure this large plumbing issue didn't not break our bank account-a good plumber and a good human -thank you for all your hard work!

They were very punctual, and if they had any changes in their arrival time I was updated accordingly. Each day they completed their portion of the renovation, it was impossible from the exterior to know that they were here. They cleaned up all of the debris that was created from the removal of the old tile to installation of the new tile! This place is not open to the general public. You have to be referred by a contractor and you need to make an appointment with an associate, to see the showroom and get personalized help. We made an appointment to meet with Brenda, their sales associate, to help us out. She showed us the engineered wood and solid hardwood wood. She explained the differences and helped us decide which would work best for our needs. The inventory is mainly engineered flooring but they do have a small selection of solid hardwood flooring. We were able to take a few samples, on loan, to see how they look inside our house. We really appreciated all the information and help we received from Brenda. Now we just need to decide which color we like best.

I place an order yesterday on something I need urgently for a job, they tell me to come in this morning at 8am to pick up said item. Drive all the way to San Jose for them to tell me that order does not exist. Never got ordered and would have to wait until Monday now. My local tom Duffy in Salinas is also feeling the effects of this merge... they told me it would take 1 month to get this, and that San Jose had 3 in stock. Which was not even correct.
