We recently purchased a rental home near USC that was fully renovated a year ago. Unfortunately, the current tenants were having ongoing outages in the kitchen, which were not readily explained by looking at the panel. Manuel was the most prompt and courteous of the 4 electricians that I called. He was able to go to the property the next day and evaluate what was happening with the panel. He was able to coordinate with the current tenants and showed up on time, which I was most worried about as I was asking the tenants to stay at home to meet him. He gave me a very fair estimate and described what work he thought would fix the problem, including doing rewiring in the panel, installing a dedicated circuit in the kitchen, and changing some of the breakers. He arranged with the current tenants when to come back the next day to do the work. I was not able to be on-site, but he kept me updated with phone calls, texts, and photos of the work done. It's been about 3 weeks and everything is working great and the tenants are happy. I paid him via Venmo and received a prompt email with an invoice. Since then, he has been my go-to guy for any electrical work. I gave it 1 star because there is not an option for zero. Found them in Home concepts magazine. They advertised putting in ceiling fans for 120 dollars each. Sounded great, and even told Manuel we had other work for him that he could do while here. Gave him a list. We purchased all he asked to have here for the work. Two ceiling fans, motion lights etc. he confirmed the day before he would be here the next day at 0830. Guess where this is going....did not show. Waited and waited, called repeatedly only to voicemail. Never returned the call. Never showed up. Hard to believe all of his other seven reviews are five starts. My guess is Manuel has 7 friends......or he has seven separate emails, and reviewed himself. Stay away from this joker at all costs! read more
