seven electric & manny have been so great to work with for the last couple years. we have a couple apartment buildings and have used them repeatedly for various jobs both large & small and manny is so easy to work with. he always responds quickly (which i really appreciate) and his guys do great work for a reasonable rate. last weekend my parents lost power in their kitchen on sunday morning and he sent someone to temporarily fix the issue (so they wouldn't lose all their food in the fridge) and then came back a couple days later to replace their outdated panel. so efficient, friendly, competent & they clean up after themselves! highly recommend! read more

This is a weird one but I had to give a review. So, I did something really dumb at home. There's no need to bore you with the utter dumbness level of this dumb thing but long story short..... I cut a wire I wasn't supposed to. Anyway, I needed to get this issue fixed ASAP and called a couple of places who weren't able to help. Then called Seven Electric. I spoke to Manny and he explained to me that he wouldn't be able to come out until the next day (DAMN) but that I should try to fix this myself (REALLY?!). He said it should be straight forward but a little time consuming. He told that if he came out he would do the same thing but it would cost $XXXX's!! His quote was quite reasonable actually for an emergency electrical callout and fix. He told me the bits to buy and texted back and forth with me over the next 4 hours until the job was successfully completed. AMAZING!! This kind of thoughtfulness is quite unheard of in Los Angeles. TLDR Poor communication, no call/no shows, lots of excuses. DO NOT RECOMMEND I usually don't write reviews, but this is so no one would have to go through the nightmare that I had to. I can relate to all the negative reviews. Back in Aug 2021, I requested a quote through Yelp during the Delta variant. I supplied several videos, pictures,building plans and asked if a quote could be provided and was very flexible during the initial communication. Manny said he had been to my building several times and was fine giving me a quote. The job was to run and install 8 lights in my unit and an EV charger in my parking garage. After I put a deposit down, the communication began to fall apart. He said EV permits were backlogged and it could take months to get one. So instead we went ahead and did the lights inside while we waited for the EV permit. The crew came in one day in Sept and ran the conduit. This is when things started to fall apart. Manny stopped responding to texts and phone calls on scheduling me. I would have to check in with him nearly every other day to even try to get someone to come out to do the interior lights. He even scheduled me on a day and no one showed up! Extremely unprofessional. The phone calls and texting went on for weeks. So after a month or so went by and 4 of the 8 lights were finally installed and I decided to ask for some of my money back because we weren't getting anywhere with the EV charger. Magically, Manny was able to get the permit the same day I told him I was going to move on. I was too committed to back out and look for other electricians, so I let him continue and put me on the schedule. He kept saying he was backed up for a month and would try to squeeze me in. I even told him you can schedule me in a month, I just want a commitment and not for me to keep calling and texting for availability like I was on standby. On several occasions he would say I will definitely have someone on (insert date) and when I would call/text to confirm the appointment he would make up some excuse and brush me off. I do not have a work from home job, so it was extremely frustrating to coordinate with him and my employer. At the end December, I decided to not continue with Seven Electric. On top of that, there was 4 instances over the 4 month period where he had me scheduled and no one showed up!! So many excuses, much wasted time and money. In conclusion, he never finished my EV charger and was only able to do the conduit and 4 out of 8 lights. I had to hire another company (they had no issues getting an EV permit on the same day I hired them). The crew that did the labor was fine and respectful, it is Manny that I would not trust or would ever do business with again. read more

Extremely unprofessional! I contacted them a month ago. It took them forever to finally schedule something because the owner was never calling back as he promised all the time. I was immediately charged 50% just to schedule a day a month later. The day before the appointment, the owner contacted me saying that they are doing some other job somewhere else and that they could only come in like another week knowing fully well that I would be out of town and could not reschedule. And why? Isn't waiting for a month enough time? I requested a refund of the deposit. Still didn't get it... It was a waste of time and money (this $500 could be invested instead of laying in their account doing nothing). No work ethic whatsoever. Better find someone, who actually shows up without a load of excuses that have nothing to do with you. read more

I have an apartment building and one of my tenants lost power in her unit. It was 6 p.m. on a Saturday. I tried several electricians who advertised as 24 hour emergency service but could not get anyone to schedule until Monday or Tuesday. I called Seven Electric and was able to get my problem solved right away. It was handled over the phone by the owner and did not require a service call. He diagnosed the problem from the pictures I texted him. It turned out the main breaker to this unit was tripped and needed to be reset. He walked me through it over the phone and my problem was solved. He did not even charge me for his time. Wonderful customer service and very honest business practices. I have been using Seven Electric for over 10 years now, personally on my home and professionally in my commercial locations. From the owner to the staff, everyone is professional, polite and knowledgeable. Dealing with anything electric is scary, but I never worry with them. I know they'll tell it to me straight so I am aware as an owner of the issues at hand and how to PROPERLY fix them. Yes you can save money with someone who cuts corners, but why would you risk it to potentially cause a fire, hurt someone badly or have a liability? Do the right thing and hire someone who knows right from wrong! Personally - my husband and I recently bought a home that was just 'renovated'. Our inspector at escrow stated that all electrical was updated, the panel was new and it all looked great. I had Manny and the team come out to install some items and troubleshoot why I couldn't have my living room lights on AND one item plugged in. Long story short, the entire house wasn't wired correctly, and the previous owner (who was a flipper) cut corners throughout! There was even an issue in the crawl space where if the city inspector would have seen what was NOT done, they wouldn't have passed inspection! So happy I took my neighbor's advice and contacted Seven Electric to do a safety check on all my outlets and wires (since my house is very old). Manny got back to me the same day even though he's crazy busy. He was able to get my project started the next day, sending over Jose and Ramon who replaced and repaired some dangerous outlets that were about to short-circuit. Manny & Erin helped me resolve a sporadic electric issue with my house in Manhattan Beach. Various circuits and lights were randomly flickering or going out from time to time and it was a difficult issue to diagnose. Instead of trying to mess with rewiring the house or looking for some worn wires, they helped me rebuild the main panel with new inside components and then got Edison to assist in tying down the exterior weatherhead and street connections.
