I use to travel to Thailand quite a bit for work in the past, and I loved Thailand and also Thai food. I go to a little Thai Kitchen for lunch a couple of times per month, and it is a pretty good value. They have several mix and match items for $7.95. One can order one appetizer or soup and main course for two items together. The appetizers are a Thai style spring roll or dumplings. Both are excellent and can be ordered with chicken or with vegetables only. I usually have their lemon grass soup with chicken. This is basically Tom Yum soup and is pretty good size and decently spiced. They have Chicken Coconut soup, (Tom Kha Gai) and some other less spicy soups. I almost always get their Massaman curry with either beef or chicken. I really like the peanut and coconut flavors in this dish. I have had some of their other dishes and they have all been pretty good. The Pad Thai however is just OK. I have also tried their Thai E-San Chicken with Papaya salad. This is a little bit spicy but very good. The chicken is marinated and grilled and the Papaya salad has a lot of strong flavors. The staff is very nice with typical Thai sincere politeness. The restaurant is clean but simple and not very much to look at. It is a good spot for no frills Thai cuisine. p.s. Thai people do not use Chop Sticks when eating Thai food. This restaurant is quaint with a homely feel. Its very clean and well kept. This place gets crowded at dinnertime! That is a good sign! My wife had the Coconut Shrimp appetizer, I had the Chicken dumplings. Main course my wife had the Pad thai. I had the Chicken fried rice with jasmine rice. Both dishes were very good and nicely prepared. I'm not big on spicy food. On the menu there are peppers next to the courses that are spicy. Two peppers are really spicy. No peppers are no spices (heat) in the dish. We also the Thai Iced tea. They use cocunut milk in their tea. Our waitress (Lone waitress) was on her game! Inspite of taking care of the entire room, she had a positive attitude and was very attentive! Even though she was busy, she cared enough to answer our questions. Im not sure if the wait staff is only one deep all the time or if other wait staff had called out tonight. This could pose a problem, especially during a crowded weekend dinner rush. So I knew this place had good reviews but I didnt have high hopes because of how thin the curry looked in other reviews, but don't let that fool you. Both the green curry and massaman curry were both still amazingly flavorful. And they give so much too! The bean curd satay was also incredible, they actually marinate the bean curd which not enough places do, and the peanut sauce that comes with it is delicious. The sticky rice with mango, I actually almost took a star off for because it just didnt seem like much rice and it was 6 bucks. However, it was so tasty I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It was very good. I had the chicken green curry. My boyfriend had the chicken royal bamboo spicy dish. We sampled each other's food and liked it. We both love extra spicy, so we added the red pepper sauce to our dishes. Thai spices will get you at the back of your throat, so be careful lol. They slowly creep up on you then hit you with a bang. We also had the mango with sticky rice dessert and my boyfriend couldn't believe such simple ingredients came together so flawlessly to create a delicious experience. This was not my first time here, but we will definitely be back. Our waitress Kim was nice and hospitable. A Little Thai Kitchen is a great hidden gem. It sits in a strip mall and is very inconspicuous. I was there at lunch with some of my co-workers. I had their Lemon Grass Soup, it is truly a great experience. It is a wonderful start of a meal. The first spoonful gives you a pow in your mouth. Not a bad pow but it wakens up your taste buds. With each bite you experience the complexity of the layers of flavor within this wonderful soup. By the time you finish the soup your mouth is ready for the next experience. The next part of my meal was Chicken Thai Basil, with my taste bud wide awake, all of the flavors were coming through as I was working my way through the layers of chicken and vegetable. Mixing the meal with the rice and soy sauce gave the umami that gave it the extra wow. When you say spicy, expect to get spicy!! :-) Thai tea is so fresh and their lemon grass soup is by far hands down the best I've had. I sometimes change some stuff around like get noodles instead of rice, and they never mess it up. Great customer service, water is always filled, and tables are cleared promptly. I think I frequent this place too much. It's just so, so, so good! I just don't like how I can't dine over the weekends because lunch specials only run from Mondays through Fridays and normal prices are insanely expensive. In any case, for lunch, I suggest getting the tofu and spinach soup, tofu lemongrass soup (similar to tom yum soup), or Thai-style dumplings (fresh chicken and mushroom) as appetizers and get either the Basil Fried Rice, tofu Pad See Ew (not on menu and pronounced pad-see-you) or tofu Pad Thai. The service is okay, waitress isn't particulary friendly but she's not rude either haha. I would them more stars because I finally found a place that makes the food actually spicy, which is awesome for me, but their carrots are too hard and almost raw so that kind of ruined things. Very fresh flavors make this Thai place a must. Extensive menu with all my favorites. The Tom Kah soup was full of fresh veggies that were tender but with a bit of crunch and was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. The Massaman curry was also very good with more fresh veg and tender beef. The dessert of sticky rice with egg custard was warm and sweet with just a hint of salty. The curry here is spot on! This "Little Thai" restaurant in Springdale Plaza is a great find and they have some of the best curry I've ever had. You must try their Massaman curry (with beef, chicken, seafood, or tofu and vegetables); it isn't really spicy as much as it is sweet, but the flavors work really well in the dish. If you want a spicier curry you should try their green curry however I personally like their Massaman the best. The duck entrees here are also on point, but they are on the pricier side so if you have the money for it then you should definitely try one out (the mango duck is a top contender for me). read more

I ordered the drunken noodle dish and did not realize I was given the wrong dish until I made it back to my office at work and was unable to return and also not interested in getting anything else. According to the menu the drunken noodle comes with bell peppers onions wide thai noodles and then whatever protein you decide but I was given a noodle dish that has carrots zucchini tomatoes green beans and a bunch of other things in it that I didn't ask for. on top of that my noodles are over done. Thia noodles tend to be on the softer side but these are plain mushy and are lumped and sticking together the dish is also quite oily. I've had drunken noodles many times in Thai restaurants in Northern NJ and this just isn't it. read more

To begin with, our pick up order was wrong. I debated whether it was worth it to even tell them since we were already home with the food, but I called them and they fixed the order for us completely, which was very kind of them. I really wanted to love this place after reading such great reviews. There are definitely some great things we tried- the panang curry and the corn cakes were stand outs. Everything else was just okay. Drunken noodle is one of my absolute favorite Thai dishes and this one just didn't do it for me. They aren't shy with the veggies, that's for sure. But the flavor wasn't good enough. The rice and the noodles in our dishes were super stuck together, which made eating it difficult. The app sampler was just okay. I think this place is definitely worth a try and I hope that you are more pleased that I was. I really do want them to do well and it seems like they have a lot of loyal customers. Some times you need a double take to really uncover a gem in the rough. The first time we visited this place, it was with our extended family and a majority of them preferred very mild food and our dining experience was quite forgettable given that a lot of the dishes were under seasoned and a lot of the bold Thai flavors that we prefer were missing (not the restaurant's fault). We weren't active yelp contributors back in the days and used it mostly to check restaurant reviews. Fast forward a little more than 2 years, we decided to try this place out after looking at the yelp reviews (not realizing that we had been here before). It was only after we reached the parking lot that the light bulb turned on. This time around it was just the two of us and we ordered everything Thai hot and my oh my the dishes were very much spot on and to our liking. Recommend their green curry as it is tastes freshly made and not out of a can. If you are a chili head like us, we would suggest that you try an order of their Pad Phed at a Thai spicy level of heat (it's got a red curry base with barely any coconut milk) and the dish packs a sucker punch filled with fresh green pepper corns, Krachai (rhizome) and Hot Thai basil leaves. We believe that we know Thai food really well and feel that this restaurant serves really good dishes. read more
