This place is the only vegan option in the neighborhood, hence the high ratings. If you're used to vegan food, you'll be sorely disappointed. Since the place is black owned you would expect there to be more seasoning but their dishes are seriously lacking. I always get the avocado blt wrap but it's seriously missing SOMETHING- I just can't put my finger on it. The cauliflower wings are the only decent thing on the menu but by the same token they are extremely greasy. Same goes for the Rasta pasta. Vegan food shoUld be at least somewhat healthy. Also the food is ridiculously overpriced. 20 dollars for an entree? 5 star prices for a 1 star restaurant? Me thinks not. I wish I had more positive things to say but everything about this place is just a nay. I hope other vegan places open up in the area soon. read more

Wow! This place is freaking awesome ! Best vegan food on long island ! We came here for brunch on saturday. I ordered the quesadilla and it did not disappoint. It was filled with so much flavor, the vegan cheese was sooo creamy and delicious. It came with a side if guac and sour cream (vegan) and it just made my day. Their juice was amazing as well. This was my first time eating at a vegan restaurant and I was not disappointed! I came at 6:45 pm on a Friday and it was not crowded at all. I will say that I was not greeted by a hostess, so I wasn't sure if I should seat myself or wait to be seated. Otherwise, very clean, stylish restaurant, friendly staff and great food. Omg! A place where I can get delicious bites that's not far from my house or job and is vegan/ vegetarian. I got the cauliflower bites and the sauces that are paired with these things are delicious and leaves you very content. What makes it unique is that the bites are flavored as if it were meat. The portion size and the taste of the food was better than I expected. I am just getting into vegan food and they didn't let me down. One thing I'll say is that the Cauliflower had too much sauce and my meal was too pricey for me to buy it again. I got the Mac and Cheese with Cauliflower Wings. Although it was expensive, I was able to give my sister and mom a taste of each and still have leftovers. All in all, even though they are pricey it is filling and delicious. Great spot! The place is clean, the service was good (our waitress was Keyanni) as were our meals. We started with the cauliflower bites (which were amazing), for my main dish I had the "tuna" melt (which was also amazing). My husband had the Curry Vedge and it was so flavorful & delicious. This is my favorite gem in the St.Albans area lately! The food is SOO GOOD. I highly recommend the spaghetti and meatballs, Mac & Cheese, and the LIVE CEASER is delicious. Desserts are also good I've had the Carrot Cake sweet more than spiced but still very tasty. They serve Van Leeuwen Ice Cream which is one of the BEST VEGAN ICE CREAM BRANDS IN NYC (in my opinion) the texture and flavor profile is the closest to real ice cream that I've ever tasted. The turnoff was walking in to pick up my order with my mask on, only to see a completely unmasked person having a conversation with Breanna who had her mask on her chin. I thought the man was picking up his bag because he was talking over it. NOPE...I paid for my order only to find out the bag in question that Breonna was putting utensils in was my order. They serve West Indian Caribbean food, a beautiful reflection of the surrounding community. So here's the low down which is alllll good!!! It's a small & cozy place, not a match box, intimate, laid back vibe. You walk into light R&B music (SZA, Kendric Lamar - you get the vibe) booths to your left, tables and chairs to your right. As you walk pass the dining area through the center isle you pass tinted windows - you see the cook actually chefin it up. After you pass the cook's tinted windows is a nice size bar ( not big / not small - just right) on your left side to order take out. The young lady who took care of me was nice and pleasant, and gave me her opinion of dishes I was interested in. Customer service was on point. DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!! I had a shake called THE SHAKIE, the best shake I've ever had - cinnamon, dates, banana.....you have to order it to find out the rest - my tastebuds were in HEAVEN! I drank that waiting for my empanada which was made of spelt flour dough, baked, NOT fried - mushrooms, peppers (not spicy) & vegan cheese. The entree was Curry Vedge brown rice with tasty chick peas, jackfruit (which is not sweet even though it has fruit in it) onions and a lot of other healthy goodies. And lastly my fat ass had to try the vegan carrot cake, all good. This place will not disappoint & is really nice for a date night. Shake, Appetizer, Entree & desert = $30 + tip.
