Can't say enough good things. Quick turnaround, great service, and honest analysis. Replaced batteries for me, helped with resizing the wrist, and told me which watches might not be worth my time and money to repair (they were right)! Also went in to see if I could lighten a chain and they told me they would be willing to do it, but told me why I might not want to. A M Lee Jeweler is honest and does quality repairs. I used to live in Northbrook and moved to Naperville. I had two broken bracelets that I took to a local jewelry repair store in Naperville. I was shocked at the price and took it all the way to A M Lee. A M Lee charged LESS THAN HALF the amount and actually do the repairs themselves, unlike this shop in Naperville that would have to send the broken bracelets out. A M Lee's customer service is incredible. They are honest and detailed in their explanation of the repairs. I am willing to drive all the way from Naperville to bring my jewelry to A M Lee. read more

I've been shopping here for several years now. This is the only place I will buy jewelry anymore. I used to shop at Hoffman's (now out of business) and occasionally at Funfier's (sp???). But Hoffman's was always overpriced and not very good quality, and Funfier just never had much in the way of original/unique pieces. But at A.M. Lee you can almost always be guaranteed that you'll find SOMETHING that is original. I've bought rings and necklaces, and occasionally some of their items which they've acquired from estate sales. I've also occasionally purchased gifts for friends there. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ever bought from them, and my friends have always loved their gifts. Quite frankly, they've spoiled me against other jewelry stores. A.M. Lee is probably one of the best kept secrets for jewelry on the North Shore and I hope it stays that way. Zion is always helpful in showing me the items I'm interested in and helping me with necklace extenders when I need them and at reasonable prices, and his father is wonderful at fixing items I've brought in, and always does his best to return the item to me in a timely manner. I just cannot say enough good things about this family run store. And I think that's just it. Family run; ergo, they truly care about their business and their customers. And if you're not looking for unique pieces, but something along the latest popular trend, they have that kind of jewelry too. Essentially, whatever you are looking for, they probably have. I think because of them, I've become a "jewelry junkie." Some people do drugs, others buy shoes or clothes or purses. I buy jewelry. My wife brought in her necklace and medallion to be fixed 2 years ago. When she came to pick it up they told her they had lost it. We just got a call saying they found it after all this time. I picked it up earlier today for my wife expecting some sort of discount after all this time. When I asked about getting a discount, I was told no because it was our fault for not picking it up earlier (I'm not joking). The younger gentleman who was assisting me became very confrontational about this which surprised me because I was asking for a discount on a small amount (the bill was only $40). Most customers in my situation would have expected them to waive the $40 fee after 2 years. Anyway, he made me feel uncomfortable so I just paid the $40 and got out of there. I joined Yelp just to post this review. That's how disappointed I felt with my experience with this jeweler. read more

Albert transformed a piles of random stones into a beautiful wedding ring for our 15th wedding anniversary in less than 3 weeks.
