Small Mexican restaurant. Very expensive. Guacamole is just there not bad but not good. I had the 3 picaditas with chicken mole and green was good and the matcha was horrible. I can't taste anything other than spice. We also had quesabirras plate which was real good. Horchata is just there. I've been on a hunt for truly delicious tacos and have not had much success until I walked into A Mi Manera. An unpretentious taqueria tucked into the corner of a small strip mall, just north of Morkes Chocolate, I felt comfortable and welcomed right away. They have lunch specials, so I ordered the two taco plate with rice and beans. It was brought to the table all hot and yummy looking. The rice and beans were very good and tasted homemade. I usually skip the beans and rice, but after one taste, I could not stop. The tacos were steak and chicken served with cilantro and onion, authentic style. Nicely seasoned meats and warm homemade tortillas make for an excellent taco. There are red and green homemade tamales for purchase, so I bought four to have for another couple of meals. Again, chicken with red or green sauce inside. I got two of each and having just had one of each for dinner, I must say, they are the real deal. Wrapped in banana leaves and foil, they are tender and satisfying. The red was pretty spicy, but I survived. Glad I bought four! Go and enjoy. read more

I consider myself a pozole connoisseur since I seek it out on menus and travel to different restaurants for it. The portion was hearty enough to take half home. The next day the flavors were still amazing. I had 2 friends with me and their food was delicious too. Birria De Rez broth was phenomenal! We loved that it was so healthy since it was homemade and everything was so fresh. We drilled the owner, Jaime, on the menu, the decor, just everything. He was so friendly and helpful. He told us the story of how he came up with the name of the restaurant. Ask him! You'll love it. We can sense he's a good guy and we will be back so many times to support this small business that has the most amazing Mexican food in town (yes, we've been to all of them since we all have lived in the area for decades). Stopped in for lunch, my first time here. Food was great. Had a lunch special plus a single empanada and split both with my wife. Plenty of food for us both. The tortillas are homemade and fantastic. Counter service was exceptional, pointing out the specials and explaining the various ordering options and details of the dishes that I asked about. Quick service. The food was so much better than any other local chain, so I highly suggest coming in to check it out. There are various menu options including different specials throughout the week. This place easily takes the cake for the best quesabirria tacos I've ever had. They're incredible. Setting the excellent food asside, the service was very good as well.
