Maybe we my daughter and I were there on a bad day but staff was not very friendly and we both had issues with our nails. Two of mine popped off and my daughter lost one. We did not go back to have any fixed. We did however go to canton nails and they were really nice and did a great job and we've had no problems with our nails. read more

I had never been here before but I got A full set of acrylic and a pedicure at the beginning of July 2019. When the guy was done with my nails, they were all misshaped and too short and I didn't really like them. Not even in 4 days later , they started coming off and they were all off within a week. Even tho I got them brand new and with gel polish. And this was not just me because the same thing happened to my girlfriend who got them done beside me the same day. Hers all broke too. As far As my pedicure, they wanted to refill the tip on both of my toenails but I told them it wasn't needing to be done but they insisted on it the nail technician filled the tip on my toe incorrectly and it was too long and thick. I Accidentally kicked something a day or 2 later and omg! Worst pain ever. Because there was gel polish on my toenails I couldn't really see underneath but within a week my toenail fell off completely. I found myself googling how long does it take a toenail to grow back? A big toenail can take 6-12 months to grow back! They ruined my nails. WTF read more

I been a client of this salon for about 2 years ,they hired a new girl, she has a bad attitude and her work is less than desirable. Today I asked for SNS and I double checked that my nails will be dipped 4 times into the powder because the last time the new girl only did it 3 times, and my nails chiped after de second week. Today she dipped them 3 times I asked for the fourth time and she charged me 5 bucks extra. When I asked why the extra charge? She acted like she didn"t understand what was I saying. Terrible service, clipped me and I bleed. I asked for a 10% discount for several issues and they said if we do that you cannot come in here for service again. In addition I asked for pedicure with gel and they started my process with a tech that didn't know how to do gel without telling me, so I had to wait another 20 minutes until they could find someone to do the gel part after the process has been started, already an hour into that process. I generally get my nails done spur of the moment. When I walked into my usual place and the mgr. said 'come back in an hour,' I thought nahhhh... I'll go elsewhere. Having never tried the salon in the WalMart shopping center, I decided to give 'em a go. They took me immediately, and the mani/pedi was not only pleasant, but cheaper than the other place. The basic pedicure includes callus removal -- extra in other salons -- and a feel-good salt scrub. ***I'm not giving them four stars for a couple of reasons: 1) I brought purplish/black OPI polish. They only applied one coat. When I asked why, they said that the polish is thick (I thought it was just dark) and two coats won't dry well. (Driving home I noticed a couple of spots that were a bit translucent and could have been covered with additional polish.) OK, next time. 2) There are a few dabs of polish on my skin which again, I didn't see till I left. I thought the practitioners were friendly -- their English is very limited -- and they did a pretty good job. I'll give them a second try, particularly if the one coat of polish lasts as long as two coats does. ***February 2015 Update: So I came back with the same purplish/black polish and asked them to apply two coats. No problem! If you're tired of waiting at other salons, give A Nail a try. I think they do a fine job and there's generally minimal wait. Anyone who claims the staff is rude should take into account that they speak little English. and may not understand what you're asking. I've elevated my rating from three stars to four. If I could give them a zero star, I would. I walked in to get a mani and I waited for about 30min. The man who did my nails rushed and took only about a Minute before he started painting. He did a clear coat and said he was done when I asked for a French. He looked upset when I told him and quickly did them. They also didn't have a room for waxing and just made you sit in a chair next to everyone. They used toilet paper as a waxing strip and used the same stick for multiple people. I also noticed that they never cleaned their tools and used them on multiple different people which really grossed me out! I am never going there again! read more

I moved to the Woodstock area six months ago and have been searching for a nail salon that can deliver consistent results. When a nearby salon did a wretched job on my gel polish and it began to chip, i decided to stop in to A Nail on a whim. My first impression: it's a no-frills nail salon. Looks older on the inside, nothing modern or flashy. Although I was not getting a pedicure, I noticed they had disposable liners in the pedi tubs. That's a plus. I was seated pretty quickly and they began the soak-off process to remove the chipped gel. OPI Bubble Bath is my go-to gel color, and they carry it, so that's another plus. The woman who did my polish did a great job. She was careful not to get it all over my cuticles, and the polish doesn't appear thick and goopy, as it does in some salons. If I could give less then one star I would, but since I can't I will stick with one. Walked into the salon and she told me it was a 5 minute wait...okay no problem... I pick my nail polish out. I then am directed to an old, ratty, torn massage chair. The water in the tub was cold ands waited for another 15 minutes. I can't believe I stayed as long as I did. After I had not been taking care of within 15 minutes I decided it was time to leave got up and walked out nothing was said to me as I exited the Business. Went in to get a manicure with french manicure finish. Manicure was extremely rushed, nails were not filed evenly (my thumb is currently at a slant), the white line is not smooth on about half of my nails and the white looks "lumpy" on several of the nails. Was hoping to have a nice treat for myself to get ready for Easter and ended up with bad prom nails. So disappointed, won't be going back. read more

To call this place a salon should be offensive to other nail salons. My sister and I went to this place as a special little outing and came away disgusted. The level of professionalism is laughable. They did the typical up-sale by asking me several times if I wanted to add a waxing for pedicure to my gel manicure request. Which is to be expected after the 3 attempt I was annoyed. I was seated next to a tech who was actually full on open mouth sleeping in one of the chairs. The tech who was doing my nails rushed through my manicure. While she was working on my nails she asked me again if I wanted a wax. Again I said no. Once she finished my nails, she walked behind the chair of the STILL sleeping employee and began to sift through her hair with the tweezers used at the waxing station and proceeded to pluck dozens of grey hairs from the now fully awake lady's head. After which she put the tweezers back at the waxing station with not even an attempt to clean them. My sister had a gel manicure and a pedicure done. When they were finished with her manicure she told the tech that her thumbs were different colors than the rest of her nails. The tech tried to argue that it was the light making the polish look different. Her thumbs were orange and the rest of her nails were a blush pink. After going back and forth the tech finally agreed to redo her thumbs. The gel manicure that is supposed to last 2 weeks did not last 2 days before it started to peel from our nails. If I could give this nasty place an actual negative rating I would. Buyer beware! read more
