It's been a while since I have such a nicely made Banh Mi, especially from a place whose title doesn't seem to even indicate they sell them there. We got the Pork and Beef one, and I have to say the Pork one was definitely the best of the two. The meat was juicy and tender, and the sauce they marinated them in was bonus on top. Banh mi is always my go-to for a hot day when I want something light, refreshing but filling. Visiting my hometown Temecula, I wasn't expecting to see this place pop up so close by but I was so excited to try it based on reviews!! And I'm pleased to say that I will DEFINITELY be returning every time I'm in town. MY ORDER: I ordered the grilled chicken banh mi. As pictured, I ordered it TO-GO and didn't unwrap it to eat until about 30 minutes later which is why the edges of the bread look slightly moist, but it was still SO YUMMY (and did not feel soggy while eating), esp since it sat for a while. Usually I get pork or beef but I was feeling chicken today. Perfectly juicy and the seasoning was chef's kiss . I also personally don't like when banh mi places put a bunch of mayo on it and I appreciated that they didn't. Overall it was a delicious lunch that I would get again for sure! One thing is that I do wish the baguette was toastier/crispier. Typically even after sitting for a while, banh mi bread stays crunchier. I did notice that the menu said "French-style" baguette though, so maybe this is why it was softer than the typical banh mi bread. One other personal preference of mine is that I'm used to a high veggie-to-meat proportion, where I felt like here it was more meat so I couldn't taste them as much as I am used to (esp the daikon). HOWEVER, I know that others would prefer more meat! Also now that I know, the next time I'll request that from the person making it since it's kind of like a chipotle style place (I wasn't paying attention this time). So excited to try the bowls and soup in the future when I'm looking for a larger meal!! AMBIANCE/SERVICE: I really like the inside as well. It felt simple and CLEAN but still colorful and bright. Overall good vibes and the staff member that helped me was also nice! I also really like the "noodle story" concept of this place and I hope in the future they can lean more into that with the decor!! :) Last little note is that I'm super happy to see an Asian-owned business with great food open so close by in Temecula! This place is incredible. I'm always skeptical of places with perfect reviews, but we have gone three times in the past 2 weeks and we can't get enough! My husband loves the bowls with chicken, I love the soups (the pho and the red curry are both SO flavorful!!) and the lemongrass beef bahn mi's are incredible- even my young kids will eat it!
