Came back again for one of my favorite spots. The owner is always so friendly and always packaged there to go order in cute containers and insulated bags. Came in today (Thursday) for lunch and it was quiet here. While I was ordering, I was trying to figure out if there was enough for food us and I was leaning towards ordering more sides, rice, and other dishes but after order just the lunch specials, we were assured it was enough food. And it was. But it was very nice to be stopped from over ordering when it would have benefited them for us to overorder. We ordered the Crispy Chicken lunch special that came with some sides (kimchi, fish cake, and cucumber with dip). The chicken was indeed crispy. It is Korean fried chicken in nugget form. Addictively good! And the crispy Korean rice cakes were also fried and covered in the same sticky, sweet and salty sauce. It also came with a cup of Tofu Soup which was quite spicy but good. I highly recommend this Crispy Chicken lunch special! I also ordered the Korea drink which was very sweet and reminded me a lot of sugar cane juice. I saw that this place opened recently and I've been wanting to try the new restaurant. It's led by a wife and husband team. They have a good amount of seating inside. I got their lunch special which is spicy pork bulgogi and beef soondubu. The portions were a good size and the bulgogi was seasoned nicely. The soondubu was not too spicy. It came packed to-go and came with white rice and 4 banchans. I also got their dakjangjeong ($19.99) which is fried chicken with a sweet and sticky sauce with fried rice cakes. We finally got to try this new, cute mom & pop Korean bbq eatery after seeing many glowing reviews on Facebook. This place was quaint, many seating options inside, clean and the service was super friendly. Their menu is small and limited, so it was quick and easy to order. Honestly it was a little pricey, 2 entrees and a side of fried mandu totaled about $30+ a head for lunch for two people after a 15% tip. The service was phenomenal, the owners are really kind and generous and bagged up our dine in order in the cutest reusable insulated cooler bag, they say it's in case you need to take home your leftovers. While we enjoyed our lunch (bulgogi and the sweet sticky chicken), not sure we would be back any time soon as their menu doesn't hold much variety. Not sure if they are planning on expanding or of this is just what it always will be? Wishing this family good luck and much success. We used to come here when it was a different Korean restaurant, so we decided to try out this new place out for the first time. The owner took our order. He was very kind and approachable. He took the trays of food to our table and everything arrived at our table within 15 minutes. We didn't mind the wait because we could tell it was all freshly cooked. We got the galbi ribs, which had a great char, was seasoned well and overall simply really delicious. The beef soon tofu was steaming hot when it came out, which we loved. It could have used a bit more salt (purely preference), but everything else was great -- the tofu, cuts of meat, and vegetables were all well prepared and even really good the next day as leftovers. Loved the banchan and purple rice! Good rice is hard to find at restaurants, especially non-white rice but this rice was exceptionally cooked. We're already planning to come back with friends for the wings. There's plenty of space for big groups. I also don't normally comment on serving-ware, but the trays were very chic -- something I would choose as a decor item in my own home. Chopsticks were good quality too. I got the lunch combo - beef bulgogi with soondubu (on a weekend btw!!) and added SSAM which is green lettuce with bean paste. The meat quality was so good ! The bulgogi which is usually very fatty, wasn't too fatty and soaked up the marinade really well. The soondubu always tasted very clean, not too spicy and had lots of veggies such as mushrooms, Korean zucchini, onion, and tofu. It was such a well balanced meal. This is a cute little place with great Korean food. It's in the same location as the former BKC and Hi Tofu restaurants. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. It's kind of fast food style. You don't really get service at the table. Everything is prepared like it's To Go. Kind of wasteful with the packaging if you are eating in, but it's cool because you can easily take leftovers. I think they have a good business model that will work better than the previous places. I've gotten food here three times; once eating there, once To Go and once Door Dash. The food was prepared well. The Door Dash came in a custom insulated bag, that was so nice I felt compelled to save it. I've tried the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Beef Tofu Soup, Sweet Spicy Chicken, Fried Chicken Wings and Beef Bulgogi. Everything was tasty, I especially liked the Ban Chan. The Spicy Bulgogi was a little too sweet for my liking. The Sweet Spicy Chicken was way too sweet - it had so much sugar in it, it started to solidify while I was eating it. I only got the Beef Bulgogi one time and it was too salty and I like salt. Everything is on the pricey side, but they have a lunch special which is a great deal. I hope this place does well.
