I came here on my break. They got my food fast! But they werent super busy around 1pm. I got the Chapter 3 and exchanged the chicken for beef. I was a bit skeptical when i saw the meat. It didnt look pretty. But once i tried it, it was sooo tender and delicious. I felt it was a good, hearty portion of food. The flavors were VERY fresh and delicious. I really wanted my broth to be a little more creamy? But aside from that, 100% perfect dish. I loved it. I also got thai tea, which the owner said is not actually on their menu :) its honestly really good. I really dont like thai tea except at thai restaurants, or other similar cultured. My only complaint is that there is a lot of ice so there wasnt much beverage and the tea i wished were a hit more concentrated flavor. Its super clean inside and looks like a relaxing environment. My first time here and it was perfect. Came here with my child so we got a few things. I ordered the Chapter 5 which is a Banh Mi and was so good the roll was toasty and crunchy and the meat was seasoned great the veggies were delicious it dripped the sauces together and it was soooo good. My child got the chapter 5 which is chicken pho. And she at the whole thing everything! I mean this child put it away like done laundry. The music and was great to vibe with and the decor pleasing. Just so good!! Been here 4 times in past 2 mths just so consistently good. Veggies are so fresh. We've gotten take out 2 times and they really arrange things so nicely. The place is clean and inviting. Just love it! Now to the food. So my kids just love their pho. I love their curry. We call this laksa in Malaysia and frankly this curry is so so good. Did a quick walk in this afternoon and I really like the concept and the freshness of the ingredients the sandwich comes on a great French baguette if you add garlic shrimp it's a two dollar xtra price. Finally a Pho that is delicious, and now I no longer need to drive 30 miles south for it! The great thing about this place is you can make your soup or rice dish the way YOU want it! I got the chicken pho broth, rice noodles and beef with all the veggies besides bok choi. My daughter got the same minus veggies. Hubs got chicken broth, pho noodle and chicken and all veggies. I ALSO ordered the Lemongrass beef Bahn Mi and boy.. let me tell you.. YUMMMM. For our drink we got the Lychee lemonade, came with a seedless/peeled lychee. Very tasty and refreshing.. Everything! A friend and I got some food to bring back to my airbnb. She's Asian, so was able to help. The owner and the others working there were equally as helpful. I would have been o.k. on my own! The food was still super hot after our 10'ish minute drive back to my house. Let me start with the key takeaways: Definitely delicious overall and we will be giving them a 2nd chance to earn 5 stars. The prices are straight-forward and reasonable. I appreciate the set price per bowl or soup versus a $1 extra for this and $2 that kind of deal. We ordered 3 bowls and 1 soup to go. Everything was packaged well. The flavors were excellent. The meats were tender, cooked well, and not chewy! The sauces were very yum, yum, yum. The veggies that they gave us were fresh. The service was a little slow and a few of the employees seemed very confused, but they just opened -- I'm sure they'll get the swing of things in a few weeks or maybe it was just an off night already. Two of the staff members (or owners ?) were especially nice. The ambiance was pleasant. My only real complaint is that we ordered bok choy for all 4 dishes, and only 1 dish came with any and what it came with was a couple raw pieces. Many of the reviews raved about the fresh veggies, so this was pretty disappointing. Additionally, we asked for all the veggies, but no cilantro on one bowl and it came with the most cilantro of all of them. Thankfully, it was easy to take out. If they ran out of bok choy, I wish they would have told us when we were there, but I kind of think the staff member who took our order and primarily made our dishes was just confused and left it out. TL;DR: missing bok choy from 3 dishes, service was a tad bit slow, food was delicious. We will be back! read more
