Let me start with the key takeaways: Definitely delicious overall and we will be giving them a 2nd chance to earn 5 stars. The prices are straight-forward and reasonable. I appreciate the set price per bowl or soup versus a $1 extra for this and $2 that kind of deal. We ordered 3 bowls and 1 soup to go. Everything was packaged well. The flavors were excellent. The meats were tender, cooked well, and not chewy! The sauces were very yum, yum, yum. The veggies that they gave us were fresh. The service was a little slow and a few of the employees seemed very confused, but they just opened -- I'm sure they'll get the swing of things in a few weeks or maybe it was just an off night already. Two of the staff members (or owners ?) were especially nice. The ambiance was pleasant. My only real complaint is that we ordered bok choy for all 4 dishes, and only 1 dish came with any and what it came with was a couple raw pieces. Many of the reviews raved about the fresh veggies, so this was pretty disappointing. Additionally, we asked for all the veggies, but no cilantro on one bowl and it came with the most cilantro of all of them. Thankfully, it was easy to take out. If they ran out of bok choy, I wish they would have told us when we were there, but I kind of think the staff member who took our order and primarily made our dishes was just confused and left it out. TL;DR: missing bok choy from 3 dishes, service was a tad bit slow, food was delicious. We will be back! read more

Exceptional, family of five came here and had two bowls and three soups. Smoke filled the small space as my pork and beef were grilled as I ordered it. Amazing, quick, super fresh, and delicious food! My husband and I are so picky... not to sound like total snobs, but we are very particular about ordering out. We almost never do, because it's usually not that great- for the price you pay these days vs what you get, we just mostly don't do it anymore... but this place is right down the street from us and is sooo good! The meats are grilled perfectly, we also get the tofu and it's so good. I do bowls with white rice & greens base, then get lemongrass beef (oh my, so good), all veggies (except bok choy) and then get 1 traditional and 1 tiger sauce. I call bc I don't know how to order 2 different sauces, online- I get a side of veggie egg rolls (delicious) and sometimes a small side of red curry sauce- I just like it on the bowl and for the rolls. It usually provides me with 2 meals worth. Honestly, just great clean food, and exceptionally nice people serving it! FYI: the grilled chicken, tofu, and shrimp are all really good, as well... but if you do beef, the lemongrass beef cannot be beat! 5 out of 5! Highly recommended! read more

I've been wanting to try the food here since they opened and today we did. I had the banh mi sandwich which was incredible. So fresh with cilantro, daikon, carrot and jalapeño. The grilled pork was intensely flavorful. Hats off to the chef! My other half had a Chapter 3 which he loved and could barely finish it. Very generous portions here. Service was okay. I didn't like that the noodle dish I ordered was cold... I think that's how they serve it but I didn't really enjoy. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee and it had a very alcoholic taste and artificial tasting. It's a beautiful restaurant, but I don't feel like there's enough tables and chairs to seat people. And the condiments were off to one side and you had to walk over there with your noodle dish or banh mi which is awkward... I could totally see people piling up at that condiment station waiting to put stuff on their food. I'm used to condiments being on the table. The restaurant has greater potential. I got the red curry! It was tasty. The service was fast and I liked how they had options of topping and spices on the side. The layout was nice and open! They have an easy and simple menu which is great for them business wise! We we r on a Sunday after a walk and most tables were full!
